Clustering Corporate Brands based on Opinion Mining: A Case Study of the Automobile Industry (오피니언 마이닝을 통한 브랜드 클러스터링: 자동차 산업 사례연구)

  • Since the Internet provides a way of expressing and sharing Internet users' mindsets, corporate marketers want to acquire measurable and actionable insights from web data. In the past, companies used to analyze the attitude, satisfaction, and loyalty of consumers toward their brands using survey data, whereas nowadays this is done using the big data extracted from Social Network Services. In this study, we propose a framework for clustering brand names using the social metrics gathered on social media. We also conduct a case study of the automobile industry to verify the feasibility of the proposed framework. We calculate the brand name distance for each pair of brand names based on the total number of times that they are mentioned together. These distances are used to project the brand name onto a 3-dimensional space using multidimensional scaling. After the projection, we found the clusters of brand names and identified the characteristics of each cluster. Furthermore, we concluded this paper with a discussion of the limitations and future directions of this research.

  • With the growing international consensus regarding sustainable development of transportation, the plan of transportation infrastructure needs to meet various requirements toward enhancing environmental conditions. Accordingly, the upcoming long-term plan of high-speed rail network has to be reflecting the sustainability of transportation systems. In this paper, we propose methodologies based on multi-attribute utility theory for determining priorities of sustainable high-speed rail investment. The proposed methodologies identify indicators for sustainable transportation systems such as economic, environmental, social, and transportation-related ones and then, explain the way how to evaluate the overall sustainability by comparing the relative importance among indicators. This will help transportation agencies to prioritize high-speed rail investment toward sustainable transportation systems.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the integrated support program for children with ADHD tendencies and their social support system. The program, including individual art therapy, group life skills programs, culture experiences, individual counseling programs and regular network meetings between parents and teachers were carried out to children with ADHD tendencies in order to build environmental support systems. As results, the psychological and emotional behaviors of children with ADHD tendencies have changed. This study, also, was able to verify the possibility of positive changes for the children with ADHD. Based on these results, the practical guidelines for building the support systems of children with ADHD tendencies were suggested.

  • Pathological laughing and crying(PLC) is a condition that is characterized by episodic, brief, contextually inappropriate, uncontrollable outbursts of laughing and/or crying. It can be observed in patients with various neurological disorders. PLC often causes distress in interpersonal functioning and activities for patients and their families. PLC can be recognized easily with proper understanding of the condition and its nature. Also it generally shows good response to various pharmacological treatments. This review aims to encourage the diagnosis and treatment of PLC by providing definition and clinical presentation of PLC, analysis of its pathophysiology and various current treatment options.

  • Ever increasing "Big data" can only be effectively processed by parallel computing. Parallel computing refers to a high performance computational method that achieves effectiveness by dividing a big query into smaller subtasks and aggregating results from subtasks to provide an output. However, it is well-known that parallel computing does not achieve scalability which means that performance is improved linearly by adding more computers because it requires a very careful assignment of tasks to each node and collecting results in a timely manner. Hadoop is one of the most successful platforms to attain scalability. In this paper, we propose a measurement for Hadoop optimization by utilizing a Lorenz curve which is a proxy for the inequality of hardware resources. Our proposed index takes into account the intrinsic overhead of Hadoop systems such as CPU, disk I/O and network. Therefore, it also indicates that a given Hadoop can be improved explicitly and in what capacity. Our proposed method is illustrated with experimental data and substantiated by Monte Carlo simulations.

Performance comparisons of RIO and RIO-DC for QoS guarantee of the Assured Service in Differentiated Services (DiffServ 방식에서 Assured Service의 QoS 보장을 위한 RIO 및 RIO-DC 방식의 성능 비교)

  • In this paper, we compare the performances of RIO and RIO-DC buffer management schemes for DiffServ AF PHB standardized in IETF. For the comparison, we relatively differentiate maximum delay for each Assured Service subclass in Differentiated Services by allocating bandwidth to each subclass differently. In addition, we set the values of RIO and RIO-DC parameters considering the buffer size determined by the network topology and the ratio of bandwidth allocated to each subclass. In this simulation environment, the performances of RIO and RIO-DC schemes are analyzed focusing on the throughput of the In-profile traffic, the link utilization and the fairness. Simulation results show that the performance of RIO-DC scheme is comparable to that of RIO scheme with regard to the throughput of the In-profile traffic and the link utilization. However, under the simulation condition RIO-DC scheme improves the fairness between flows much better than RIO scheme.

  • This study deals with development of an evaluating tool for flow experience and presence to evaluate interactive digital contents. The tool is able to measure the grade of flow and presence by surveying with their factors which are known to affect flow experience and presence. One of reasons for reducing flow experience and presence in 3D digital contents is that the experience in the virtual world is different from user's prerequisite learning in the real life. The recent interactive contents using physical movement of users as an input is possible to provide unsafe situation to users due to the different experience. The suggested flow measurement tool is able to evaluate presence and flow experience of an interactive 3D contents as well as flow and presence factors are possible to use as a general guideline for all stages of producing interactive 3D digital contents.

Optimal Network Design Using Sensitivity Analysis for Variable Demand Network Equilibrium (가변수요 통행배정의 민감도 분석을 통한 최적가로망 설계)

  • The conventional studies on equilibrium network design problem(ENDP) with fixed travel demand models assume that the future OD travel demand might not be changed even if the structure and the capacity of the network are improved. But this fixed demand assumption may loose its validity in the long-range network design because OD travel demand actually shifts with the network service level. Thus, it is desirable to involve the variable travel demand which is determined endogenously in the model in the optimal network design. In this paper a hi-level model formulation and solution procedure for ENDP with variable travel demand are presented. Firstly It is considered how to measure the net user benefits to be derived from the improved in link capacities, and the equilibrium network design problem considered here is to maximize the increase of net user benefit which results from a set of lift capacity enhancements within the budget constraints, while the OD travel demands and link travel times are obtained by solving the lower level network equilibrium problem with variable demand. And secondly sensitivity analysis is carried out to find the links to which the network equilibrium flow pattern is the most sensitive. Finally numerical example with simple network is carried out to test the validity of the model.

  • Recently, since the most software intensive systems are using internet environment for data exchange, the software security is being treated as a big issue. And, to minimize vulnerability of software system, security ensuring steps which are applying secure coding rules, are introduced in the software development process. But, since actual attacks are using a variety of software vulnerabilities, it is hard to analyze software weakness by monotonic analysis. In this paper, it is tried to against the complex attack on the variety of software vulnerability using the coupling which is one of the important characteristic of software. Furthermore, pre-analysis of the complex attack patterns using a combination of various attack methods, is carried out to predict possible attack patterns in the relationship between software modules. And the complex attack pattern analysis method is proposed based on this result.

  • Since there are almost no scales for measuring the size of We-Chat applets, and most of the existing We-Chat applets are grafted through the original APP application, At present, the application scope of We-chat applets which is mainly in /shopping/life/food application. Thus, the purpose of this research is to focus on the iPhone app store, collect data on the top five of APP-STORE through users' comments and The high-frequency words will be obtained for statistics, and the variables of this study will be set up. Last, develop relevant Empirical research on the size and measurement scale of the We-Chat applet. Therefore, how to use We-Chat applets to improve user experience, we can create their own user private domain traffic for We-Chat applets and achieve long-term market competitiveness.
