  • 삼성전자와 애플을 비롯해 글로벌 기업 간의 특허전쟁이 격화되고 있다. 특히 돈벌이로 삼는 특허괴물의 횡포도 심각한 수준이다. 이에 대해 국내 대기업들은 특허 인재 양성에 힘쓰고 있다. 이를 통해 특허 소송에 대비하는 것은 물론 새로운 특허 개발에도 전력을 기울이고 있다. 여기에 특허를 보유하고 있는 업체를 인수합병하거나 특허를 사들이면서 힘을 키우고 있다. 특허전쟁에서 승리한 사례와 특허괴물의 횡포, 향후 전개될 특허 전쟁 양상, 그리고 대기업들의 특허전쟁에 대비한 노력에 대해 알아보자.

The Development and Application of STEAM Education Program based on Systems Thinking for High School Students (고등학생을 위한 시스템 사고 기반의 융합인재교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과)

  • In the 21st century, in a Knowledge-Based Information Society, systems thinking is a very important human resources skill in science and technology, which is required in STEAM education in order to understand and solve complex problems. The purposes of this study are: (1) to develop a STEAM education program based on systems thinking; (2) to investigate the effects of the program on students' systems thinking. The systems thinking-based STEAM education program was developed on the basis of 'ADBAS' model (Park & Lee, 2013), and focused on the theme of watermill. A total of 60 high school students participated in this study. The results of this study showed that quantitatively as well as qualitatively, systems thinking skills improved after the treatment. In conclusion, the program we developed in this study can contribute in improving high school students' systems thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities. The findings of this study may provide useful insights into cultivating human resources with systems thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

A Study on Establishment of Convergence Education School for the Gifted (융합형 영재교육기관 설립에 관한 연구)

  • In these days it can be said that knowledge based society has been passed through and creative society is approaching, and the important keywords to the coming creative society should be the knowledge, the creativity, and the convergence. In order to make preemptive responses to this 21 century's new creative society, cultivation of gifted students with integrated prototype is also an imperative reason to prepare. With this historical background Korean Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology announced "a general plan on invigoration of elementary and middle school level art education for cultivation of creativeness and humanity" containing the acting curriculums of science and art integrated on June 2010, and also announced "the second general plan for support on development of science and technology professionals" including STEAM education for elementary and middle school level at January 2011. In this paper we developed a strategy appliable to establish an education institution for gifted students specialized on promoting the students to the convergence type gifted students. For the purpose, we derived the necessity for convergence education for the gifted and the implication points through analysis on the examples, and developed a strategy to establish an education institution for gifted students.

Theoretical Proposal and Consideration on Longitudinal Study of Entrepreneurial Gifted Youth (기업영재 종단연구의 이론적 제안 및 고찰)

  • Research on entrepreneurial gifted youth who have immense potential within the national economy in the near future is critical. The purpose of this article is to establish the proper goal and direction of longitudinal study on entrepreneurial gifted youth and to identify substantial research problems. In order to do a theoretical inspection around preceeding research related with the field, longitudinal study of entrepreneurial youth (including gifted education and entrepreneurship) was executed. As a result, the goal, 'the verification of whether entrepreneurs can be cultivated by educational interventions' was derived as an appropriate research direction. Also, 4 major research problems are presented: (1) Description of the features of entrepreneurial gifted youth and their developmental pattern, (2) Explanation of the effects of educational intervention on intensifying entrepreneurial giftedness, (3) Prediction which identifies the factors that influence the youths' success as eminent entrepreneurs, and (4) Control over promoting talented individuals and refining relevant policy and institutions. Implications and further research directions are also discussed.

  • 21세기 정보화 세계화 사회에서 창의적이고 자율적인 인간양성을 위한 교육개혁으로 창의적 인재양성, 자기주도적 학습능력 배양이 강조되어지고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 제주지역 농어촌의 경우 인구 집중이 도시로 이루어지면서 농어촌의 인구가 감소되어지고 그러한 결과로 소규모 학교는 통폐합이되면서 교육여건은 악화되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 제주지역 농어촌 교육문제를 해소하여 학생들의 이농현상을 줄일 수 있으며, 창의적이고 자기주도적인 학습 능력을 배양할 수 있는 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 느끼게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 도시와 농어촌의 서로 다른 교육여건에 기반하여 교육내용을 특성화함으로써 제주지역 농어촌 학생의 창의적 문제해결력 향상을 위한 통섭적 활동 모형과 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 이론적 고찰을 하였다. 도시와 농어촌의 학력격차를 해소하기 위해서는 농어촌 학생에게 적절한 교육내용과 활동으로 재편성하여 가르칠 필요가 있다. 특히 제주도는 농촌과 어촌, 도시형이 특별히 구분되어지는 것이 아니라 하나의 통합된 생활문화의 특징을 가지고 있다. 앞으로 본 연구의 이론적 고찰을 바탕으로 제주지역 농어촌 학생들의 일상적인 생활환경에서 접하게 되는 다양한 활동 속에서 창의적으로 문제해결을 할 수 있도록 통섭적 활동 모형과 프로그램을 개발하여 적용하게 되면 학생의 역량을 강화시키고 잠재해 있는 창의적 문제해결력을 개발하여 학력향상에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

The Effect of Integrated Mind Map Activities on the Creative Thinking Skills of 2nd Year Students in Junior High School (통합형 마인드맵 활동이 중학교 2학년 학생들의 창의적 사고력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to design a teaching and learning method conductive to the development of creative thinking skills and investigate its effects. It has been developed integrated mind map with feature of visualizing the divergent thinking to the aspects of Science (S), Technology (T) & Engineering (E), Arts (A), Mathematics (M). Integrated mind map can be divided into four types of STEAM type, STEA type, STEM type, STE type depending on the category of key words in the first branch. And Integrated mind map can be divided into three levels of guided, intermediate, open depending on the teacher's guide degree. And also integrated mind map activities were carried out in the form of group, class share as well as individual. This study was implemented during a semester and students in experiment group experienced individual-integrated mind map activity 10 times, group-integrated mind map activity 10 times, class share-integrated mind map activity 3 times. The results indicated that the experimental group presented statistically meaningful improvement in creative thinking skills (p<.05). And there was a statistically meaningful improvement in fluency, flexibility, originality as a sub-category of creative thinking skills(p <.05). Also creative thinking skills are not affected by the level of cognitive, academic performance, gender (p<.05). In conclusion, it was found that 'integrated mind map activity' improved student's creative thinking skills. There was no interaction effect about creative thinking skills between the teaching strategy and cognitive level, achivement, gender of those students.

  • 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명에 적합한 창의적 인재 양성의 필요성이 강조됨에 따라 SW관련 프로그래밍 교육과 문제중심학습을 결합하여 기존의 강의식학습에서 효과적인 학습전이를 위한 역량중심의 스스로 학습을 강조하는데 목적이 있다. PBL은 암기를 통한 주입식 교육에서 자기주도적 성장학습을 통해 필요한 기술을 개발한다는 이점과 블록기반 공개용 프로그램인 스크래치는 학습자들의 흥미 유발, 몰입도 향상을 하며 습득 교육에 중점을 둔다. 또한 풍부한 미디어 활용 및 뛰어난 공유성을 기반하고 있으며 단순 반복과 암기가 아닌 창의적 수업이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 고찰능력과 사고력을 향상시키고자 PBL과 스크래치를 결합한 교수-학습법을 개발하였으며, 그에 상응하는 유의점 및 학습단계를 개발하였고 이를 활용하여 학습자의 논리적사고 함양에 이바지 한다.

Development and Application of the Scientific Inquiry-based STEAM Education Program about Earthquakes (지진에 대한 과학 탐구 기반의 STEAM 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop a scientific inquiry-based STEAM education program and to investigate its effect on changing middle school students' self-efficacy in science, job awareness, and attitudes toward STEM. A scientific inquiry-based STEAM program was developed with the theme of 'earthquakes', using the ADBA model, which was taking up the total of six class periods. The final program, which had been revised and completed after being pre-tested with middle school students, was implemented to 105 third-graders of middle school in a metropolitan city. One sample pre-post paired t-test before and after applying the program to the same group was conducted, and its effectiveness was analyzed in terms of self-efficacy in science, job awareness, attitudes toward science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Results showed that the STEAM program on the theme of 'earthquakes' demonstrated its effect on improving the students' of self-efficacy in science subject and their awareness of science-related jobs. Furthermore, this program indicated a statistical significance in improving middle school students' attitudes, awareness, and abilities, values, and continuing interest towards science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Therefore, we suggest that this scientific inquiry based STEAM program be used to help students to improve their scientific investigation skills as well as their creative and integrated thinking abilities in schools.
