A Study on the Regionalization of Point Rainfall by Statistical Methods (통계적 방법에 의한 지점강우의 권역화 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the regionalization of point rainfall by statistical methods for regional frequency analysis of the rainfall. The rainfall data used in this study are annual maximum rainfall at 57 stations during the period of more than 30 years for 12 durations(10min, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18, 24hr) in Korea. The Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance of nonparametric test the principal component and the cluster analysis have been performed to analyze the regionalization of rainfall. The results of this study are as follows; (1) The region which hydrological homogeneous is accepted does not exist for whole duration in Korea. (2) The result of nonpametric test shows that hydrological homogeneous regions of point rainfall are divided by 5 regions. (3) In case of cluster analysis hydrological homogeneous regions of point rainfall are divided by 6 regions and 4 other areas.

  • The operating torque and tribological characteristics of a cam/tappet system of an I.C. engine have an important effect on the engine efficiency. More power is lost for higher operation torque which is affected by the friction of a cam/tappet system. In this work experimental investigation of the torque behavior of a cam/tappet system was conducted to get tribological characteristics. Specifically, the torque was measured with respect to oil temperature and camshaft speed. The torque decreased with increasing camshaft speed because of decreasing friction coefficient but was hardly affected by the oil temperature. Also, the torque was the largest near the cam nose region.

  • 본 연구에서는 강우의 수문학적 특성을 고려하여 도시지역에서의 시간분포를 분석하고, Huff의 무차원 누가곡선 및 Yen과 Chow의 무차원 특성변수를 제시하였으며, 강우의 수문학적 특성은 지속기간, 강우의 발생원인(장마, 태풍, 집중호우, 전선형 강우), 강우강도 등으로 분류하였다. 본 연구의 수행으로 인해 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 도시지역의 단시간 강우의 최대강우강도는 전방위구간에서 발생할 확률이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 둘째, 강우발생원인별 분류에서도 전반적으로 전방위구간에서, 태풍의 경우에는 후방위구간에서 최대강우강도가 발생하였다. 셋째, 평균강우강도이하의 경호우와 평균강우강도이상의 중 호우에서는 전방위구간에서 최대강우강도가 발생하였다. 넷째, 전기간 강우자료를 이용한 기존 연구들의 무차원 누가곡선 및 특성변수와의 비교를 실시하여, 수문학적 특성에 따라 무차원 누가곡선의 위치 및 특성변수의 값에서 차이가 발생한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper explores the types (species of trees) of 25 pieces of waterlogged wood excavated from the area between Gwangju and Jangseong during road expansion by the Gwangju National Museum. These 25 pieces of wood include nine pieces of Quercus (Lepidobalanus Cerris)sp., six pieces of Quercus (Lepidobalanus Prinus)sp., three pieces of Castanea sp., two pieces of Salix sp., one piece of Alnus sp., one piece of Prunus sp., one piece of Morus sp., one piece of Chionanthus sp., and one piece of Acanthopanax sp.

  • There are an electronic and a manual type in Bidet. The electronic bidet has some advantages. it supplies multiple functions and is up easily. However, it has frequent defects and a high price. The manual bidet is not need to supply electric and is cheaper than the electronic type. However, it is needed to supply hot water and is hard to set up. In order to solve these defects, this study designed a bidet heating unit using an electric instantaneous water heating method. To get a proper heating elements, experiments were performed about a Ni-Cr heater and a film heater.

  • 2- [(4- Cyanophenyl)amino] -3-chloro-1, 4- naphthalenedione (NQ-Y15) was asssayed for its genotoxic potential by using Salmonella typhimurium reversion assay and in vitro chromosome aberration test on Chinese hamster lung cells. In the Ames test, NQ-Y15 induced his + revertants of Salmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA1537, reaching levels twice the negative control values. But, NQ-Y15 induced only his+ revertants of Salmonella typhimurium TA1537 more than twice the control values under the condition with metabolic activation system. In the cytogenetic test on chinese hamster lung cells. NQ -Y15 showed significant chromosomal aberrations, but the incidence was significantly reduced in the presence of metabolic activation.

  • 가공용 마그네슘합금 중간재를 저비용으로 제조하는 공정기술의 하나인 수평연속주공정을 통해 판재 및 빌렛을 제조하는 공정에 대한 연구결과를 소개하고자 한다. 수평연속주조공정은 기존의 반연속주조공정에 비해 저비용 공정이며, 실용화 초기단계에 있는 제조공정인 strip casting으로는 제조가 불가능한 고합금계의 마그네슘 중간재를 제조할 수 있는 공정기술이다. 또한 연속주조한 빌렛의 압출공정에서 압출속도를 향상시킴으로써 미세조직을 제어하고 제조 비용을 절감하기 위한 연구로서 고속압출용 신합금 설계기술과 압출공정제어에 대한 연구결과를 소개하고자 한다.

  • The operating torque and tribological characteristics of the cam/tappet system in an I.C. engine have an important effect on engine efficiency. In this paper, we measured the torque of cam/tappet system with respect to the oil temperature and camshaft speed to characterize the tribological behavior. Also, accelerated test was performed to analyze the wear characteristics of cam/tappet interface. The torque of the cam/tappet system decreased with respect to camshaft speed and was not significantly affected by the oil temperature. The results of accelerated test showed that the running-in wear occurred during the tests and the center of the tappet was mainly damaged by the rolling and sliding friction.

  • In this study a series of in-situ and laboratory tests such as SPT, CPT, DMT and oedometer test are performed and then the stress history of soft ground is evaluated from the different method for estimating preconsolidation pressure. Casagrande method(1936), which is generally used in the conventional design, overestimates to the known preconsolidation pressure but Becker method(1987) similarly estimates to the known values. Also the results of DMT is similar to that of Becker method, and SPT and CPT overestimates the stress history of investigated ground.
