  • Collaborative consumption was suggested as a new paradigm of consumption and business model that focuses on sharing and using resources to reduce the risks of resource depletion and environmental impact. Individual consumers carry out a role not only as users but also as providers for collaborative consumption. In the present study, the authors investigated consumers' intention to participate in collaborative consumption both as providers and users. The effects of perceived benefit of collaborative consumption, subjective norms and ease of participation on the intention to participate in collaborative consumption were analyzed. The perceptions on benefits and subjective norms were relatively high, while the perception on ease of participation was relatively low. The effects of subjective norms and ease of participation on the intention to participate in collaborative consumption were significant. The result shows that support from one's reference group and the perception on ease of participation have significant positive effects on the intent to participate in collaborative consumption. Therefore, communication strategies for developing a positive consumer attitude and a social consensus about the necessity of collaborative consumption are needed.

  • Under the influence of information technology, there has been a significant change in the consumers' attitude and behavior toward the cultural products. Especially, the social network service (SNS) is predicted to effectively facilitate the growing interaction among potential consumers, which may lead to consumption of the cultural products. The goal of this study is thus two-fold: (a) to investigate the characteristic features of the digital environments based on SNS, and (b) to examine how these factors result in the purchase of the cultural contents. The survey data identified the digital environments as Informational interaction, Information connectivity, and Informational trust in the SNS environment. Subsequently, the structural equation methods confirmed that these factors facilitate consumers' participation in the information network and promote consumers' emotional attachment to the cultural contents, which eventually lead to the positive attitude toward the purchase of the cultural contents.

It is possible that in the future, we may begin to complain about too much leisure, rather than too much work. There is a need then, for types options in leisure activity, brought about by personal choices and interests. The use of leisure time is a very personal matter. It is deeply related to types with the quality of life. Bagozzi (1981) developed a model discerning among attitude, intention and activity, that attitude affects behavioral intention, and behavioral intention affects activity. So, as behavioral activity has a deep relationship to behavioral intention, participation intention according to leisure types leads to participation in leisure activity. Sports activity and hobby and cultural activity appear to have high participation and it seems that this is reflected in behavioral attitude. Among the types of leisure satisfaction, sport activity satisfaction is associated with a more positive attitude to leisure than other types. • Many Korean colleges funded by the Korean government have actively implemented LINC (Leaders INdustry-university Cooperation) programs to facilitate practical training since 2012. The LINC programs have two major different categories, a technologically and innovative focused program and a field-centered program. A number of studies have applied the TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) model proposed by Fishbein and Azjen successfully to predict the behavioral intention in many areas, such as marketing, environmental purchasing, and technology, etc. On the other hand, few studies have applied the TPB within industry-university cooperation settings. The purpose of this study was to empirically test the applicability of the TPB model in predicting the employees' participation in LINC programs. To investigate the study's purpose, a closed-ended questionnaire, composed of a total of 32 questions based on previous studies, was developed, and the data from 115 out of 132 employees in the participating companies of LINC were utilized. Specific analysis of the study showed that the attitudes, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control were significant predictors of the LINC intention. In addition, the LINC intention was a significant predictor of the participation in LINC.

The increasing use of social media has changed how firms engage their brand with consumers. This phenomenon triggered a need for this research to examine further the influence of SMMA on social brand engagement (SBE), brand equity (BE), and purchase intention (PI). The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of SMMA on purchase intention in Korean cosmetic firms with brand equity and social brand engagement. The factors of SMMA were identified based on previous literature reviews that have an impact on social media marketing activity. To empirically test the effects of SMMA, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on 219 social media users for data analysis out of the initial 332 survey data. The results reveal that all five SMMA elements are positively related to BE, SBE, and PI. The study enables cosmetic brands to forecast the future purchasing behavior of their customers more accurately and brings clarity to manage their assets and marketing activities as well.
