  • For construction companies to become competitive innovative, cost management as well as process improvement are required. Activity-based costing (ABC), which uses cost information to support long-term decision-making, is a tool that enhances a company's competitiveness. In this study, we compare and analyze tradition-based costing (TBC) and ABC to confirm the adequacy of performance-based costing. In addition, we will empirically examine the relationship between the impact of the reward system using ABC on employee satisfaction and involvement. In research results, the influence of the reward system on employee involvement appeared in the order of intrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.338) and extrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.308). In addition, the reward system showed positive (+) effects on employee satisfaction, with influence appearing in the order of intrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.360) and extrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.337). And employee satisfaction (𝛽 = 0.225) had a positive effect on involvement. We were able to confirm that it is necessary to build a reward system consisting of intrinsic and extrinsic rewards to increase employee satisfaction and involvement.

The results can be summarized as follows: satisfaction on local informatization and satisfaction on health condition have a statistically significant effect on Elderly Social Activity (Employment) Programs participatory intention. In the comparative analysis of two groups between economic active group and economic inactive group, only health has a statistically significant effect on their participatory intention in economic active group, not only health but also local informatization has a statistically significant effect on the their participatory intention in economic inactive group. • This study aims to verify the mediating effect of mobile social participation on the relationship between the mobile device capability and life satisfaction. Using the data of 2018 Digital Divide Survey conducted by the National Information Society Agency(NIA), the mediating effect was verified by Baron & Kenny (1986)'s 3 step process, targeting 1,665 middle and older aged adults. The result is as follows: first, the mobile device capability of the middle and older aged people has a positive effect on life satisfaction. Second, the effect of the mobile device capability of middle and older aged people on life satisfaction is partially mediated by mobile social participation including expressing opinions on social concerns, proposing policies and filing a civil complaint, donation and volunteering work and online voting and responding to a poll. The result represents that the mobile device, such as a smart phone or a smart pad, capability of the middle and older aged group not only directly benefits the group but also helps expand their mobile social participation, which leads to, although indirectly, higher life satisfaction. Therefore, the study is expected to be a groundwork for a practical intervention for enlarging the use of mobile device and lifting digital information level of the elderly to encourage mobile social participation and drive life satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine attitude of cultural events that affect participation satisfaction and loyalty of cultural events. Although cultural events are increasingly important with its positive impact on event participants, the existing literature on cultural event is sparse. This study, thus, investigates moderating effects of cultural events' involvement in a relationship between attitude of cultural event and participations' satisfaction and loyalty to understand the thoughts and attitude of participants. The survey was undertaken of participants to cultural events in Seoul, resulting in 513 valid responses. Through statistical analyses of factor analysis, multiple regression and hierarchical regression, four different factors of cultural event attitude were identified and those factors affect participation satisfaction and loyalty of cultural events. The results of this study provided support that there were moderated effects of cultural event involvement in the relationships between cultural event attitude and satisfaction and loyalty. More theoretical and practical implication were discussed in the conclusion.
