  • 본 논문에서는 비닐절연코드의 기계적 피로에 의한 소손패턴과 화재위험성에 대하여 실험, 분석하였다. 비닐절연코드는 2중의 절연피복으로 되어 있으며 도체는 여러 가닥의 소손들로 구성되어 있다. 비닐코드는 반복적인 구부림이나 인장등 기계적 피로에 의해 피복 내 도체가 손상을 입게 되며 전기가 흐르고 있는 상태에서 끊어진 소선들이 접촉과 끊어짐을 반복함으로써 아크와 열이 발생하며 이때 발생한 마크와 열에 의해 피복이 탄화되어 결국에는 착화됨을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 기계적 피로에 의한 국부 발열과 화재 예방을 위한 기술개발이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 자체 제작된 헬름홀쯔형 맥동 연소기를 이용하여 작동원리와 연소특성을 조사함으로써 맥동연소현상을 물리적으로 이해하는 것이다. 주기적 화염 의 직접가시화, 연소장의 시간평균 온도 및 농도분포, 변동압력의 크기와 공기흡입량 을 조사함으로써 맥동에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지 그리고 이것이 어떠한 변화를 야기시키는가를 살펴보고자 한다. 이렇게 얻어진 결과의 종합을 통해 장치의 형상이 결정된 일반적인 맥동연소기가 자발적인 상태에서 작동될 때 작동결정인자가 무엇인가 를 알수가 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 전산유체 해법의 내연기관 3차원 해석에 대한 최근 연구 동향에 대해 소개하였다. 난류유동 해석은 아직 정확성과 신뢰도 면에서 많은 연구가 필요하지만 현재의 상태에서도 직관, 경험, 실험 측정에 의해 파악하기 어렵거나 많은 비용과 시간이 요구되는 부분을 보완해 줄 수 있는 도구로서 인정받고 있다. 연소해석 부분은 현상 자체가 유동, 연소, 분무, 열전달등이 복합적으로 작용하는 어려운 문제로서 공학계산의 가장 첨단 분야 중의 하나라 할 수 있다. 현재 관련 모델로서 스파크 점화기관의 점화 및 화염전파, 배기가스 생성 과정과 디젤기관의 압축착화, 예혼합 및 확산 연소, 매연 등의 생성과정에 대한 모델 개발과 검증이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 일부 발표된 논문 결과들은 이와 같은 방법이 엔진의 주요 연소 특성을 재현하는데에 성공적으로 활용될 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.

An experimental study on the ignition characteristics of an air-assisted gasoline injector in a constant volume combustion chamber (정적 연소실 내에서의 2유체 가솔린 분사기의 착화 특성에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to determine the ignition feasibility of a single shot, air-assisted gasoline fuel injector operated in a constant volume combustion chamber under atmospheric condition. A number of parameters has been selected for this experiments, such as dwelling time, spark gap position(r,z), spark electrode geometry, supplied air and fuel masses and spray cone deflector angle. On-site visual inspection of the instantaneous flame glow was chosen as one way to judge the successful ignition. In addition, chamber pressure and occasional photography were mobilized as for data recording. It was clearly observed that there was an entrainment air-fuel mixture toward spray axis from the spray formation and its development later on. The optimum ignition conditions were found for those parameters given above.

  • The pump-pipe-injector system is that most commonly used type of injection equipment for diesel engines. In this study, a new electromagnetic fuel injection system was designed and carried out the experiment of single cylinder direct injection(DI) diesel engine. This system do not need the cam shaft for fuel injection. The effects of the injection timing on the combustion process and emission were investigated. The results are that 1) atomization was improved, 2) combustion pressure was increased and ignition delay became shorter than before, 3) Low smoke level guarantee with more advanced injection timing without abnormal combustion but NOX concentration was increased as the injection time advanced.

  • The present work is an experimental investigation on potential operating range using directly injected gasoline fuel in a single-cylinder compression ignition (CI) engine. The objectives of present study were to apply auto-ignited combustion to gasoline fuel and to evaluate potential operating range. In order to auto-ignite gasoline fuel in CI engine, the fuel direct-injection system and the intake air system were modified that a flow rate and temperature of intake air were regulated. The heat-release rate (HRR), net indicated mean effective pressure (IMEP), start of combustion (SOC), and combustion duration were derived from in-cylinder pressure data in a test engine, which has 373.33cc displacement volume and 17.8 compression ratio. The exhaust emission characteristics were obtained emission gas analyzer and smoke meter on the exhaust line system.

  • The cigarette holds more than 10 percents of the entire fire accidents despite the number of smokers rapidly decreases every year. The purpose of this study is to examine the ignition characteristics of cigarette by experimentation. This study analyzed the cases of fires inferred that they were caused by cigarette in Incheon during 2006. As the representative ignition materials, corrugated board, gasoline, lacquer thinner, tarpaulin, flexible PVC sheet, and poly ethylene were tested. In this experimentation, the corrugated board was ignited by cigarette. However gasoline, lacquer thinner, tarpaulin, flexible PVC sheet, and poly ethylene were seldom ignited. Meanwhile most fire investigators have argued that oils and tents were ignited by cigarette, but this study experimentally proved that such an argument might be ungrounded.

전해증착법을 이용한 결정성 ZnTe 나노와이어 성장 및 특성평가

  • 본 연구에서는 전해증착법을 이용하여 결정성 ZnTe 나노와이어를 성장시켰고, 구조적 및 전기적 특성을 평가하였다. 또한 나노와이어 성장에 앞서, 결정성 ZnTe 박막을 전해증착법으로 형성하였고, 그 박막의 특성을 관찰하였다. 화학양론적(stoichiometric) 조성을 가지는 박막을 성장시키기 위하여, 순환전류전압법(cyclicvoltammetry)을 이용하여 Zn, Te, 이온들과 구연산 착화체(citrate-complexes)로 구성된 수용액 전해질에서 각 원소의 환원전위 분석이 이루어졌고, 과전압(overpotential)과 전해질 온도와 농도등과 같은 전해증착 조건에 따라 박막을 증착하였다. 각 조건에서 전해증착된 박막은 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 EDS를 이용하여 표면과 두께 그리고 성분분석을 하였고, XRD 분석법을 이용하여 박막의 결정성 변화를 관찰하였다. 박막증착 실험에서의 알맞은 증착조건을 나노와이어 전해증착실험에 적용하여, 다공성의 양극산화알루미늄(Anodic Aluminium Oxide, AAO) 템플레이트를 이용하여 bottom-up 방식으로 결정성 ZnTe 나노와이어를 성장시켰다. 수산화 나트륨(NaOH)용액을 이용하여 템플레이트를 선택적으로 에칭하여 제거한 후, ZnTe 나노와이어의 구조적 및 전기적 특성을 분석하였다.

  • Purpose: To identify internal self ignition and ignition caused by external flames in energy storage rooms, and to analyze the difference between ignition due to overheating and ignition caused by external heat sources. Method: membrane melting point measurement, battery external hydrothermal experiment, battery overcharge experiment, comparative analysis of electrode plate during combustion by overcharge and external heat, overcharge combustion characteristics, external hydrothermal fire combustion characteristics, 3.4 (electrode plate comparison) / 3.5 (overcharge) /3.6 (external sequence) analysis experiment. Result: Since the temperature difference was very different depending on the position of the sensor until the fire occurred, it is judged that two temperature sensors per module are not enough to prevent the fire through temperature control in advance. Conclusion: The short circuit acts as an ignition source and ignites the mixed gas, causing a gas explosion. The electrode breaks finely due to the explosion pressure, and the powder-like lithium oxide is sparked like a firecracker by the flame reaction.

Study of the Tracking Fire Risk by Dust Resistivity of Pens (축사별 먼지 저항률에 따른 트래킹화재 위험성에 관한 연구)

  • In animal and plant facilities, dust samples were collected from cattle sheds, pigsties and hen-houses, which have high proportion of electrical fires. The samples were diluted in distilled water and water resistivity was measured. Current measurements and tracking reappearance experiments were conducted using distilled water with dust samples. The analysis results were obtained to track the fire risks according to the dust resistivity. The highest value was the dust from cattle sheds followed in order by the dust of pigsties and hen-houses. In experiments measuring the temperature change and RMS current, the lower resistivity of water showed a significant trend of temperature and high amperage. In the tracking reappearance experiment with the lower resistivity water, the tracking speed was fast and the ignition time was shortened. This study investigated why each dust resistivity shows different results.
