  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of the fist harvesting times (vegetative, stem elongation and heading stage) and regrowth periods (20, 30 and 40 days) after the first harvest on dry matter (DM) productivity, crude protein (CP), CP yield and cell wall constituents of gasses during 1987 and 1988. Although the dry matter productivity of grasses at the first was decreased with earlier cutting, the regrowth DM productivity after the first harvest was increased significantly with earlier cutting (p < 0.05). Also the 30 days of regrowth periods was contributed greatly to the DM productivity p <0.05). The percentage of leaf in the leaf: stem ratio was increased with earlier initial harvest and shorter regrowth period after first harvest. The nutritive value of grasses was increased with earlier initial harvest and the 30 days of regrowth period after fist harvest. Based on the results, it is suggested that good grass DM productivity and nutritive value could be achieved by the earlier harvest at first and the regrowth period of 30 days after first harvest in spring.

Quality Characteristics of Ginger Tea (생강차의 품질특성)

  • To evaluate the quality of commercial ginger tea, we compared physicochemical (sugar content, pH, acidity, color, viscosity, transparancy) and sensory (7-point scoring test, 18 experienced panel members) characteristics of commercial ginger tea with home-made one. Additionally, we assessed the opinion of Food and Nutrition specialists, about commercial ginger tea. Questionaires were hand delivered to 530 subjects consisted of University students and faculties of Department of Food and Nutrition at 8 cities (Seoul, Incheon, Youngin, Taejon, Chungju, Taegu, Kwangju, Pusan) in Korea and the complete data of 328 subjects were statistically analyzed using SPSS Program for Window (mean, ANOVA, $\chi$$^2$). The questionaires were consisted of sociodemographics, frequency and occasion of purchasing, opinion of quality and improvement points. Commercial ginger tea was lower in transparancy, Hunter color (L and b value) and viscosity than home-made one. However, commercial tea was not significantly different in sugar content, pH, acidity and Hunter color a value compared to home-made one. Also, among sensory attributes, over-all preference and flavor, sweetness were not significantly different between commercial and home - made one, However, scores of color, taste and pungency of home-made ginger tea were significantly higher than commercial one (p<0.05). Factors to be improved for commercial ginger tea were in the order of ginger content (28.6%), flavor (25.2%) and sweetness (24.5%).

On the Occurrence of Defects by Vehicle Type According to the Fire-fighting Vehicle Detailed Inspection (소방차량 정밀점검 분석에 따른 차종별 결함 발생에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study is based on the detailed inspection data for the last 6 years of fire-fighting high ladder vehicles, fire-fighting inflected ladder vehicles, fire-fighting chemical vehicles and fire-fighting pump vehicles used in front-line fire departments. The purpose is to contribute to the technological development of fire-fighting vehicles by grasping the implementation status of each city and province, the rate of defects, and the occurrence of defects by year. Method: The implementation status by city and province, defect incidence rate, and defect occurrences by year were analyzed. Result: From 2012 to 2017, when the average of 230 or more overhaul vehicles was requested, the results of each city/province show slight fluctuations, but the number of defects gradually decreased due to the old fire-fighting vehicle replacement project and the response of fire vehicle manufacturers. Conclusion: In the case of fire-fighting ladders, the incidence rate of defects was found to be in the order of elevator device, electric device, ladder device, and pneumatic supply device. And in the case of the fire fighting ladder, it was confirmed that the incidence of defects appeared in the order of the refractive ladder, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic oil, and pneumatic supply device. In the case of fire-fighting chemical vehicles, it was confirmed that defects occurred in the powder fire extinguishing device, fire pump, vacuum pump, and pneumatic supply device.

A Response Pattern of Mailing Questionnaires (우편 설문 응답 양상에 관한 경험)

  • 1. 회신율은 연구 주관기관이나 설문조사 내용, 표본의 성격, 응답자에게 주는 이익의 정도, 독촉 방법에 따라 많은 차이를 보이겠지만 본 사례에서 우편설문에 관한 응답양상을 살펴본 바, 회신율에 있어서는 1차 발송후 총 대상에 대하여 약 15-20% , 미응답 대상에 대한 2차 발송 후 2차 대상의 약 30%, 1, 2차 미응답 대상에 대한 3차 발송후 3차 대상의 약 20%정도의 회신율을 보여 총 회신율에 있어서는 약 54%정도를 보이었다. 이것은 사회과학 연구 조사에서의 회신율 10-25%에 비하여는 상당히 높다고 할 수 있고(김경동, 1986), 질문서 회신율이 50%면 분석의 목적 상 무난하다고 보아야 하고, 60%면 좋은 편이고, 70%가 넘으면 아주 훌륭하다는 Babbie(1973)의 의견에 비추어 볼 때 무응답 대상에 대한 비교연구가 수반되어야 정확한 판단을 내릴 수 있겠지만 본 사례에서의 회신율은 그런대로 만족할 수 있는 수준이라고 생각된다. 2. 미응답 대상에 대한 독촉 발송 시기에 있어서는 미응답 대상에 대하여 최초 발송 2주일 후 정도가 적절할 것으로 판단되며, 3차 발송까지 시행하는 것이 회신율을 높일 수 있는 방법으로 생각된다. 3차 발송 이후에도 응답이 없는 경우 또다시 독촉(4차 이상 발송)하여도 전체 회신율에는 크게 영향을 미치지 않을 것으로 예상된다. Christopher는 정부의 후원을 받는 조사 연구의 경우 회신율이 높다고 보고하였는데 이번 조사연구에서도 관련 부처로부터의 협조 공문이 회신율을 높이는데 기여하였다고 사료된다(Oppenheim, 1966).

  • The initial market of alternative-fuel vehicle (AFV) will show geographically uneven distribution due to AFV's high price, and thus efficient location model should consider spatial variation of demand. This paper estimates AFV trips by incorporating an AFV demand estimation model with origin-destination (OD) trips. The estimates are the input for the flow-refueling location model that maximizes the OD flows that can be refueled by the given number of stations considering AFV's limited range per refueling. A scenario analysis is conducted by varying assumptions in estimating demands and AFV acceptance rate. Optimal location alternatives for Orland metropolitan area are provided and results are compared.

Suggestion of Design Criteria in Merge Areas of Climbing Lanes (오르막차로 종점부 설계기준에 관한 연구)

  • This study deals with developing Critical GaP Model and Merge Probability Model which describe traffic patterns in the microscopic view, for the Purpose of suggesting a proper design criteria within the climbing lane section. Minimum tolerance speeds at the end of the climbing lane are calculated 60km/hr for 2-lane freeway, and 75km/hr for 4-lane freeway. In case of 2-lane freeway, the result is same as existing design criteria. and a new value is 15km/hr higher than existing design criteria for 4-lane freeway. In addition, auxiliary length at the end of the climbing lane is needed about 200m for 4-lane freeway to adjust high minimum tolerance speed. Therefore we propose to increase minimum tolerance speed for 4-lane freeway.

  • 본 논문에서는 라즈베리파이(Raspberry Pi)와 실시간 객체 감지 기술인 YOLO를 이용한 전기차충전기앞불법주차 경고 영상인식 시스템을 제안한다. 최근 전기 자동차의 사용과 더불어 충전 인프라는 점점 늘어나는 중이지만, 여전히 전기차 충전기는 많지 않은 것이 현실이다. 전국 1,000여 곳이 넘는 전기차 충전소에 대해 법령으로 인한 규제를 시행 중임에도 불구하고 불법주차를 하는 일반차 오너들은 여전히 많다. 이로 인해 전기차 오너들은 충전에 많은 불편함이 있다. 이 시스템은 전기 자동차의 번호판을 인식하여 실시간 객체 감지 딥러닝 기법인 YOLO를 이용해 전기 자동차의 번호판에 특정 부분을 인식하고 특정 부분이 없는 일반 자동차가 전기차 충전기 앞 불법 주차를 하게 되면 부저와 LED경고를 통해 주차된 일반 차량에게 경고를 하여, 불법 주차자와 더불어 주변을 지나가는 행인들에게도 전기차 앞 불법 주차에 대해 각인을 시켜줄 수 있는 시스템이다.

Salinity Monitoring of Soups of The Institutions Enrolled at Center for Children's Foodservice Management (어린이급식관리지원센터 등록 시설 국물음식의 염도 모니터링)

  • The salinity of soups of institutions enrolled at the Center for Children's Foodservice Management was monitored to reduce sodium intake of children by continuously managing salinity of soups provided by children food service. Monitoring of salinity was conducted by a salinity meter (SB-1500H, HM digital) three times in 2016 by patrolling children's institutions for the instruction of public health. The average salinity of soups provided by total children's institution showed a significant decrease in salinity - $1^{st}$ 0.45%, $2^{nd}$ 0.41% and $3^{rd}$ 0.39% - as monitoring was proceeded (p<0.01). When salinity of soups was analyzed according to the type of children's institution, the salinity of national and public institutions showed no significant decrease. In contrast, the salinity of private institutions decreased significantly (p<0.05). Depending on the enrollment of the food service, there was no significant difference in average salinity of soups between large food services, which have over 50 children, and small food services, which have less than 50 children. However, all food services showed a salinity decrease from the $1^{st}$ monitoring to the $3^{rd}$ monitoring. Salinity according to the type of soup showed that salinity of clear soup, miso soup, and stew except beef soup decreased from the $1^{st}$ monitoring to $3^{rd}$ monitoring. However, there was no significant difference in salinity according to the type of soup which can be attributed to a large difference in salinity among the same type of soup. The individual soup showing the biggest difference between maximum and minimum salinity of soup was egg soup (0.62%), potato soup (0.54%), and mushroom soup (0.64%). The present average salinity of soup provided by children's institutions was less than 0.5% which is the recommended standard of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. However, the salinity of soups should be managed within a certain range including the minimum salinity regarding the taste education of children.

Components and Function of Artichoke Tea Prepared by Steaming and Drying Method (증숙 건조 방식으로 제조한 돼지감자차의 성분 및 기능성)

  • After making tea by steaming the Artichoke(Hellanthus tuberosus) nine times and drying them nine times, the ingredients and functions of the Artichoke tea were compared to those of M. It had 342.27kcal/100g in its own deloped Artichoke tea, 73.87g/100g of carbohydrates, 6.80g/100g of crude ash and 8.21g/100g of crude protein. The total of free sugars were 32.66mg/100, among them, fructose 17.40, sucrose 9.03 and glucose 6.05 mg/100g. The total mineral contents of the developed tea was 2,785.67mg/100g. It was 2,563.93mg/100g of potassium, 97.52mg/100g of calcium and 88.78mg/100g of magnesium. The saturated fat of Artichoke tea was 30.34mg/100g and unsaturated fat was 69.66mg/100g, among which the linoleic acid was 47.0mg/100%, palmitic acid was 25.31mg/100% and linolenic acid was 8.61mg/100g. DPPH radical scavenging was 34.2% of teas that were developed, 5.2% of M's for comparison, and 44.0% of index materials. ABTS radical scavenging was 93.0% of teas developed, 61.9% of M's tea and 47.6% of index materials, and SOD like activity was 2.7% of teas developed and 1.6% of M's tea. The flavonoid content was 2.8 fold of the tea developed, 2.0 fold of M's tea and 1.7 fold of index material. The polyphenol content was 38.2 fold, 8.92 fold of M's tea and 14.0 fold of index material. The inhibition rate for ${\alpha}$-glucosidase was 9.83% teas developed and 8.92% of M's. The sensory evaluation compares to the one time extract and the five time extract. Based on the one-time extract, color of tea developed was 83.7%, the M's tea was 50.0%, the flavor was 78%, M's tea was 42.5%, the delicate taste was 66.7% of teas developed and M's tea was 37.5% and the overall acceptability was 73.3% of teas developed, M's tea was 47.5%. The comparison of M's tea showed that the extract decreased as we made it, and the overall symbol level decreased to 46.3% after five time-extyracts, while that of the developed tea decreased to 73.3%. The Artichoke tea developed this way is believed to have greater antioxidant function, higher effective substance content, and a higher affinity than M's tea an index material for comparison purposes.

A Study of the Behavioral Characteristics of the Primary and Secondary Searches on Online Databases (온라인 데이터베이스의 1차탐색과 2차탐색의 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the difference of behavioral characteristics between the primary and secondary search, the influence of the primary search results on Online databases. Data is collected by surveying the professional and end-user searchers in 33 online information service centers. 262 valid responses out of 308 questionaire are analyzed by the t-test, ANOVA, $\chi^2-test$ using SAS program. The major findings are as follows : (1) Preparatory searches(the levels of expectation, the degree of question comprehension), search results(the number of output documents, precision ratio, recall ratio, degree of satisfaction) are significantly different between the primary and secondary searches on Online Databases. But the number of search terms, Boolean logics, files, systems, relevant documents are not significantly different between the primary and secondary searches. (2) The results of the primary search affect the secondary searches. The number of output documents in the primary search affect the modification of search strategies and objects in the secondary searches. The number of relevant documents affect the variation of search scopes in the secondary searches. The precision ratio affect the change of search strategies and scopes in the secondary searches.
