쉽고 유연한 조작과 다양하고 역동적인 화면구성에 초점을 맞춘 인터넷서비스 맞춤기술인 RIA(Rich Internet Aplication)기술들은 웹2.0기술중 사용자 편의성을 강조한 차세대 UI기술로 기대되고 있다. 본 논문은 평면적이고 순차적인 방법의 고급검색을 동적UI로 구현하고 사용자가 개인화 검색정보를 저장해서 검색에 활용할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 또한 사용자중심의 키워드 선호도를 통해 기존 웹 검색보다 개인화된 검색 결과물을 발견할 수 있는 검색구조를 설계하였다. 본 연구는 RIA 기술을 활용한 개인화 검색 관리자의 적용을 통해 검색된 페이지양의 감소를 입증하여 사용자에게 더욱 정제된 데이터를 제공하며 결론적으로 사용자들이 더욱 유연하고 편리한 방법으로 개인화된 웹 검색을 이용할 수 있음을 보였다.

차세대 웹 기술인 시맨틱 웹(Semantic Web)이 각광을 받음에 따라, 시맨틱 웹과 관련된 다양한 기술들이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 특히, 시맨틱 웹의 핵심 사례인 링크드 데이터(Linked Data)는 웹으로 접근 가능한 형태의 URI로 시맨틱 데이터를 표현하고 서로 연결함으로써, 오픈 데이터로서 상호운용성 극대화 및 데이터의 통합을 용이하게 한다. 이는 바이오인포매틱스 기술 발전과 결합하여 웹에서 바로 이용 가능한 많은 의학 링크드 데이터 생산과 이를 활용한 다양한 의학용어 검색 서비스 개발 결과를 가져왔다. 하지만, 기존 의학용어 검색 서비스들은 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 의학정보를 기반으로 서비스되기 때문에 다양하고 정확한 정보를 얻기 위해서는 많은 시간과 노력을 투자해야 한다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 척추 분야 의학 관련 링크드 데이터를 활용해 정확도가 높고 확장이 용이한 척추정보 검색 서비스를 제안한다.

Recently, semantic web technology, represented by ontology building, is being combined with web services technology, creating 'Semantic Web Services' as a new promising field in information retrieval research. Accordingly, many brokering and matchmaking agents are being developed and used in the field. However, literature review revealed that most models do not take QoS(Quality of Services) into consideration. In this study, a QoS-augmented matchmaking algorithm is developed based on service availability, response time, maximum transaction amount, reliability, accessibility and price as critical QoS items. A prototype for Intelligent Semantic Web Services System is developed using publicly available data. Performance test was conducted and reported at the end.

The advancements in the infusion of broadcasting and communication and the radio frequency identification technology have made the next generation mobile communication service technology be recognized as an important technology in many different fields and demanded systems of practical service using the technology. Designed in the study was a multimedia platform that would increase the utilization efficiency of limited frequency resources, which made an important part of the next generation mobile communication technology using the radio frequency identification technology, search for vacant frequencies not generating interfering signals to the old frequency users, and consider the growth of infused and complex services. In order to implement the platform, the investigator applied STI as a research model to maximize the functions of a service system and improve reliability. And also suggested IDMA of information required for platform building to maximize the functions of a service system.

월드와이드웹 (WWW) 기반의 전자상거래는 주로 데이터베이스를 기반으로 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 그러나 월드와이드웹 기반의 전자상거래는 단순 키워드 검색에만 의존하고 있다. 이러한 검색은 데이터베이스 자체로는 의미적인 정보를 효과적으로 처리하기에는 많은 문제점이 있다. 1999년 말에 의미적인 정보를 효과적으로 처리하기 할 수 있는 시맨틱 웹 이 제안되었다. 시맨틱 웹은 의미적인 정보를 담고 있는 지식베이스(Knowledge Bases)인 온톨로지를 기반으로 하고 있다. 그러나 온툴로지의 생성은 많은 부분을 휴리스틱에 의존하고 있기 때문에 많은 시간과 비용이 소비된다. 따라서 우리는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 데이터베이스에서 온톨로지를 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 데이터베이스는 도메인을 잘 나타내고 있는 정보의 저장소이므로 데이터베이스로부터의 온톨로지 생성은 분석, 설계 등의 사전 작업이 필요하지 않아 시간과 비용의 소비를 줄 일 수 있는 장점이 있다. 우리는 데이터베이스에서 스키마를 추출, 뼈대그래프$^{1}$ 를 생성하고 개념그래프로 확장하여 도메인을 잘 나타낼 수 있는 온톨로지를 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하고 제안된 알고리즘을 통하여 온톨로지를 생성을 함으로서 제안된 생성 방법을 검증한다. 제안한 방법으로 생성된 온톨로지는 단순 키워드 검색에서 의미적인 검색을 할 수 있는 시맨틱 웹 서비스의 기반이 되므로 의미적 검색이 가능한 전자상거래 서비스를 구축하는데 시간과 비용의 소비를 줄임으로 차세대 전자상거래의 초석이 된다.

TV-Anytime은 차세대 디지털 방송을 위한 표준으로 기존의 방송시스템에서 방송 서비스 제공자가 사용자에게 방송 프로그램을 일방적으로 전송하는 것과는 달리 사용자가 다 채널 환경하에서 관련 메타데이터를 이용하여 채널을 직접 검색하고 검색한 정보를 저장하였다가 시간과 장소에 무관하게 사용하는 것을 목표로 한다 이러한 환경을 가능하게 하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 TV-Anytime 메타데이터를 저장 및 관리하고 검색하기 위한 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. TV-Anytime기반 메타데이터 관리 시스템은 메타데이터의 특성을 파악하여 일반적인 메타데이터 관리 방법보다는 TV-Anytime 메타데이터에 특화된 방법으로 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한, 사용자에게 보다 풍부한 질의를 제공하기 위해서 MPEG7을 추가하여 내용기반 검색을 가능하도록 할 뿐만 아니라, XQuery를 검색을 위한 질의어로 사용하여 시스템간의 상호운용성을 보장하였다.

The rapid growth of the Internet has stimulated the development of various new applications and services, and the service providers and the Internet users now require different levels of service qualities rather than current best-effort service which treats all incoming packet equally. Therefore, next generation routers should provide the various levels of services. In order to provide the quality of services, incoming packets should be classified into flows according to pre-defined rules, and this should be performed for all incoming packets in wire-speed. Packet classification not only involves multi-dimensional search but also finds the highest priority rule among all matching rules. Area-based quad-trie is a very good algorithm that constructs a two-dimensional trie using source and destination prefix fields. However, it performs the linear search for the prefix length, and hence it does not show very good search performance. In this paper, we propose to apply binary search on length to the area-based quad-trie algorithm. In improving the search performance, we also propose two new algorithms considering the priority of rules in building the trie.

Rich Internet Application(RIA) is one of the Web 2.0 technologies and is expected to be a next generation user interface technique which allows flexible and dynamic manipulation for Web searches. This paper addresses a personalization mechanism for advanced Web search using RIA for abundant user interactions. We devised a dynamic and graphical user interface instead of previous text-based searches and a client side application for storing personal preference information. In this research, we implemented the graphical personalized search manager using Yahoo web search API and widget, and demonstrated its effectiveness by performing some experiments with various query terms and representative predicates.

In the 21st knowledge society, libraries should consider OPAC redesign and functional performance improvement by using new web related technology. This paper studied and analyzed case studies of Web 2.0. Library 2.0, domestic and international web portals and libraries. Based on the research, this study implemented Open API and RSS reader and proposes its utilization plan as a next generation OPAC 2.0 service model which can improve OPAC search results and search service.
