A Study on Stability Assessment of Vehicle and Track on Transition between Conventional and Zero-Longitudinal Resistance Rail Fastener (일반체결구/활동체결구 접속구간 차량 및 궤도 안정성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, assessed are the stability of vehicle and track according to vertical support stiffness difference on the transition between conventional and zero-longitudinal resistance (ZLR) rail fastener on bridge. For this, the spring constants of rail fastener have been determined according to different load ranges - KTX load (with or without impact factor) and test load of EN standards - from results of laboratory test on rail pad, the stability analysis of vehicle and track has been performed according to numbers or installation length of ZLR fasteners using vertical vehicle-track coupled model to consider train-track interaction. The analysis results reveal that only the wheel load variation slightly exceed the limit value when 2 ZLR fasteners are used with spring constant determined within the EN test load range, but, in all other cases, all evaluation items are satisfied. Thus, it can be said that the stability of vehicle and track will not be degraded by ZLR fastener.

  • For the commercialization and standardization of autonomous vehicles, demand for rigorous safety criteria has been increased over the world. In Korea, the number of extraordinary service permission for automated vehicles has risen since Hyundai Motor Company got its initial license in March 2016. Nevertheless, licensing standards and evaluation factors are still insufficient for operating on public roadways. To assure driving safety, it is significant to verify whether or not the vehicle's decision is similar to human driving. This paper validates the safety of the autonomous vehicle by drawing scenario-based comparisons between manual driving and autonomous driving. In consideration of real traffic situations and safety priority, seven scenarios were chosen and classified into basic and advanced scenarios. All scenarios and safety factors are constructed based on existing ADAS requirements and investigated via a computer simulation and actual experiment. The input data was collected by an experimental vehicle test on the SNU FMTC test track located at Siheung. Then the offline simulation was conducted to verify the output was appropriate and comparable to the manual driving data.

  • Five bases for of highways are sight distance, vehicle stability, driver comfort, drainage and aesthetics. Among these bases, the sight distance is the most critical one in the highway alignment design. It is certain that highways and drivers' observation actions are 3-dimensional in nature. But, the highway alignment design and the sight distance analysis have been performed on 2-dimensional planes because of various constraints and complexity of calculating 3-dimensional sight distance. The purpose of this study is to derive a model for determining exact available sight distance in 3-D combined horizontal and vertical alignments. Application of the model is illustrated using numerical examples. The proposed model should be useful in quantifying the criteria for 3-D highway alignments.

  • In this paper, Glass Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic (GFRTP) for automotive headlight source module was fabricated by compounding and injection molding using PPS (Poly Phenylene Sulfide) resin with glass fiber which has three cross section (round type, cocoon type, flat type). Tensile, flexural, impact properties were investigated on effect of cross section, glass fiber contents. And it was observed flatness, dimensional stability, fluidity depending on glass fiber cross section. As a result, flat glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic's mechanical properties were most excellent. Also, dimensional stability and flatness showed better results when using flat glass fiber.

Evaluation of Traffic Vibration Effect for Utilization of Abandoned Mine Openings (휴·폐광산 채굴 공동 활용을 위한 교통 진동 영향 평가)

  • In this study, the effect of repeated traffic vibration on the long-term stability of mine openings is analyzed for re-utilization of abandoned mine galleries. The research mine in this study is an underground limestone mine which is developed by room-and-pillar mining method, and a dynamic numerical analysis is performed assuming that the research mine will be utilized as a logistics warehouse. The actual traffic vibration generated by the mining vehicles is measured directly, and its waveform is used as input data for dynamic numerical analysis, As a results of dynamic numerical analysis, after 20,000 repetitions of traffic vibration, the mine openings is analyzed to be stable, but an increase in the maximum principal stress and an additional area of plastic zone are observed in the analysis section. As shown in the changes of displacement, volumetric strain, and maximum principal stress which are measured at the mine opening walls. It is confirmed that if the repeated traffic vibration is continuously applied, the instability of the mine openings can be increased. Authors expect that the results of this study can be used as a reference for basic study on utilization of abandoned mine.

  • This study, developed a dynamic hard shoulder running(HSR) algorithm that includes ending speed and minimum operation time in addition to the starting speed for HSR, and presented an operation plan. The first stage of the algorithm was red, which means vehicles are prohibited from HSR. The second stage is red/amber, in which drivers are notified of HSR, and operators are given time to check whether there is any obstacle to HSR. Stage 3 is green, which vehicles are permitted for HSR. Stage 4 is amber, in which a signal is given to drivers that the end of HSR is imminent. In addition, a minimum time is applied to green and red, but if congestion is severe, red is terminated early to prevent congestion from worsening. The upstream and downstream traffic flow is managed stably through main line ramp metering and lane number matching. The operating standard speed reflects the characteristics of vehicles and drivers, and based on simulation results, 7090 was selected as the optimal operating standard speed considering traffic flow and safety aspects. Therefore it is desirable to apply the travel time divided by the minimum speed of the HSR link as the minimum operating time in order to ensure continuity of traffic flow

  • 구조물의 동적부하에 대한 동적변형 응답을 정확히 예측하고, Over Design이나 Under Design이 아닌 합리적인 설계방안의 개발은 중요한 과제이다. 동적강도해석이나 소음 승차감과 같은 진동 및 충격에 기인하는 제반 문제를 복잡한 구조물을 대상으로 합리적으로 처리하기 위한 Dynamic Design Analysis는 높은 신뢰성의 추구와 더불어 필요불가결한 기술이 되고 있다. 동적해석 방법으로는 현재 유한요소법이 널리 사용되고 있으며 여러 종류의 범용 프로그램들이 보급되어 있는 실정이다. 그러나 특히 동적문제에 있어서는 형상이나 거동이 복잡한 구조물의 경우, 또는 차량의 차체와 같이 많은 장착물이 부착된 경우에는 유한요소법의 적용이 곤란하여, 지금까지 대처할 수 있는 유용한 방법이 없었다. 따라서 비교적 용이하고 간단하게 적용가능한 진동실험을 기초로 한 구조물의 동적 응답해석 및 설계 방안의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 진동시험으로 얻어진 부분구조물의 응답특성과 결합특성으로부터 결합 후의 응답특성을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 전달함수합성이론을 기초로하여 프로그래밍 package화 한다. 그리고 평판구조물에 대하여 진동시험과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 개발된 방법의 타당성을 검증한다. 또한 실제 차량에서 차체만의 진동시험과 엔진의 자유진동시험에 의한 시험데이터로부터 차체와 엔진이 마운트 결합된 후의 진동특성을 예측한다. 진동시험시에 입력과 출력에 노이즈가 필연적으로 혼입되어 주파수응답함수의 크기(magnitude)와 위상(phase)을 왜곡시킨다. 특히 위상의 왜곡은 복소수연산을 하는 전달함수합성법의 결과에 중요한 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 데이타 획득시 입력과 출력의 시간지연으로 생기는 위상왜곡을 보정하는 방법을 제시하고, 그 개선 정도를 조사한다.는 소견의 확실도로서 가능성을 표현한 것이다. 예를 들면, 진동진폭 스펙트럼상에 2X 성분이 상당히 크게 나타나 정렬불량의 가능성이 0.7 정도라고 판정하는 것 등은 이러한 수치적진리치를 이용하는 방법이다. 그러나 상기의 수치적 표현만으로는 확실도를 한개의 수치로서 대표하게 하는 것은 진단의 정밀도에 문제가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 언어적진리치가 도입되어 [상당히 확실], [확실], [약간 확실] 등의 언어적인 표현을 이용하여 애매성을 표현하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 간이진단 결과로부터 추출된 애매한 진단결과중에서 가장 가능성이 높은 이상원인을 복수로 선정하고, 여러 종류의 수치화할 수 없는 언어적(linguistic)인 정보ㄷㄹ을 if-then 형식의 퍼지추론으로 종합하는 회전기계의 이상진단을 위한 정밀진단 알고리즘을 제안하고 그 유용성을 검토한다. 존재하여도 모우드 변수들을 항상 정확하게 구할 수 있으며, 또한 알고리즘의 안정성이 보장된 것이다.. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS.   • The Personal Rapid Transit(PRT) system has been highly interested in future transportation developments due to its on-demand and optimized door-to-door transport capability. However, the major impediments to the commercialization of PRT are the high cost for construction of infrastructures as opposed to the small transport capacity and difficulty in defining the role of PRT in building a balanced transportation system. In this study, the vertical transfer device for the PRT vehicle is developed to provide more flexible and better compatible urban mobility services between means of transportation, which is expected to meet particular demands in a particular environment. This apparatus was initially designed based on the basis of vertical circulating conveyors with steel chains, which is frequently used in logistics. Its advantages are capable of the non-stop loading and reduced head-way time. Most importantly, it was intensified by the additional idea to ensure the stable and reliable transfer of the PRT vehicle fully loaded with passengers. The 1/10-scale prototype was successfully tested to demonstrate a fundamental mechanism of vertical transfer and identify unexpected user requirements prior to a real manufacturing process.

  • 수소경제로 가는 길목에서의 압축천연가스에 수소를 첨가한 수소-압축천연가스(HCNG)는 자동차 연료로서의 뛰어난 효과로 인해 미국, 캐나다, 유럽 등에서는 강화되고 있는 자동차의 배출가스 규제에 대해 만족할 수 있는 차세대 천연가스 자동차의 대안으로서 관련 기술개발과 실증사업에 주력하고 있다. 향후 수소시대의 도래에 즈음하여 HCNG의 사용은 수소사용에 대한 인식 향상과 아울러 수소사용을 안정적으로 공급할 수 있는 토대를 마련하고 수소제조 등 여러 분야에서 기술개발을 할 수 있는 부가적인 효과가 있다고 하겠다. 따라서 최근 국내에서 시내버스와 청소차등에서 천연가스 차량의 보급이 확대되고 있고, 충전소도 점차 확대되고 있는 상황에서 HCNG 연료의 적용가능성을 확인하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선진국과 국내의 기술개발 현황을 소개하고 향후 우리에게 필요한 과제가 무엇인지를 생각해보는 기회를 갖고자 하였다.

A Path Control Model to Evaluation Handling Characteristic of Vehicles (조종안정성 평가를 위한 경로제어모델)

  • In this study a path control scheme of simulation models of various vehicles to evaluate their handling characteristic is developed. Based on the forward target method, path deviation error is estimated and the required steering effort to reduce the error is computed by Ziegler-Nichols PID control rule. Velocity control model is also included in the proposed path control scheme to achieve the desired velocity. The path control scheme is implemented on a full vehicle model to perform ISO test procedures, such as steady state cornering, lane change, and sinusoidal input, etc. Through the simulations of ISO test procedures and comparison with actual tests, effectiveness and validity of the path control model is demonstrated.
