  • 차량 전 후방의 센서 감지 기법은 주행 중 차량 충돌을 예측하고 이를 운전자에게 알려줌으로써 사고를 예방하는 시스템이다. 안전운행을 위한 센서의 감지 기법과 센서 알고리즘에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으며 특히 센서 감지 효과가 매우 중요한 과제중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 이러한 센서 감지 효과에 관심을 가져 초음파 센서 회전을 이용한 센서 감지 정보 분석을 통하여 감지 효율성을 높이고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초음파 센서 배치와 회전 실험의 결과를 통해 안전운전을 위한 센서의 배치와 회전정도를 제안한다.

Relationship between Comfort and Safety of Sitting Posture of a Driver during Vehicle Crash (차량 충돌시 운전자의 앉은 자세와 안전 사이의 관계)

  • Safety and comfort are importance concepts for designers of vehicle seats and instrument panels. There have been a lot of researches on comfortable sitting postures, however, relatively a few researchers have tried to find a desirable driving posture in consideration of both comfort and safety. This study investigates a relationship between comfort and safety of sitting posture of a driver. Since a seat is closely related to comfort, the angular data of comfortable sitting posture were obtained through the correlation between the seat and the driver. In order to acquire the data of safe sitting posture, computer simulations were performed for various seatback angles. Based on comparing and analyzing the data obtained, the optimal sitting posture is suggested for both comfort and safety aspects.

  • Unattended Train operation(UTO) requires higher safety target than other systems, since all train operations are automatic. The system provider to deliver without accident or failure, and the operator to transport passengers without accident by putting all trains supplied, including them, into service. Safety rates without such failures can be represented as indicators of RAMS, among which availability is continuously controllable to achieve the target, with a clear target. Availability is often required by the licensee from the initial stage of the project to demonstrate that the request for proposal (RFP) is usually specified and to maintain separate availability targets at the operational stage. In particular, unlike unmanned operation light rail in complex systems, simple formulas are often presented to facilitate verification at each stage. This paper presents this method of usability calculation in an integrated manner at all levels and analyzes the existing usability values to ensure reliability of the availability formula for integrated use in unmanned light rail systems.

A Study on the Prevention Measures of Human Error with Railway Drivers (열차 운전 종사자를 대상으로 한 인적오류의 개선 방안 연구)

  • In this study, the causes of human error were identified through the survey of the drivers of the three organizations: Seoul Metro, Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, and Korail. It was started with the aim of finding and eliciting causes in various directions including human factors, job factors, and environmental factors. The Cronbach alpha value was 0.95 for the reliability significance of the stress-induced factors in the operational area. The significance probability for organisational factors was shown to be 0.82, and the significance of the sub-accident experience and the driving skill factors in operation was 0.81 In addition, the analysis results showed that stress-induced in the field of driving is higher than the human factors in the reliability analysis. The results of the analysis confirmed that the reliability of the organizational and operational stress-induced factors was higher than other causes. In order to reduce urban railroad accidents, this paper suggests a method for operating safe urban railroad through the minimization human errors.

  • In spite of the recent enforcement of policies to reduce traffic accidents, pedestrian safety accidents on the back road continue to occur. In this paper, we propose a device design to prevent traffic accidents capable of measuring distance and wireless communication to quickly notify pedestrians of the vehicle's approach in a safety blind spot. The accuracy of vehicle and pedestrian distance measurement was tested using ultrasonic and radar sensors with a wide sensing range, and the possibility of responding to accidents that could provide safety for pedestrians in emergency situations was verified through a wireless communication connectivity test between target boards.

  • Airport GIS is a comprehensive information system to improve security and efficiency of airport. At the initial stage to make it real, the current status of domestic and international regulations along with relevant standardization bas been reviewed. Gimpo Airport becomes a test-bed to get some ideas about how to bring the airport GIS into workflow by building service model and basic design based on current status and demand analysis of the airport. The 6 service models primarily brought into the project are as follows: (1) Local vehicles safety management in airside, (2) Intelligent traffic control between flights and vehicles at main cross points, (3) Dynamic safety management against FOD in airside and breakage on pavement, (4) Special support vehicle management such as deicing remotely controlled, (5) Response and support for fire vehicles and ambulances of signatory institutions in emergency. The upcoming research topic aims at drawing a specific design and building integrated system in the future.

  • It is a research study to look at the satisfaction of disabled persons are using a specific transportation system, and displays to see what effect the quality of life and the acceptance of disability. The survey of disabled persons in a moving vehicle assistance support Jeju vulnerable road users, using the final 81. Analysis, STS reason to use that vehicle wheelchair lift is the most common response, STS safety-related satisfaction was highest in the wheelchair. However, satisfaction of convenience associated with the use of the procedure was the lowest. The more stable satisfaction of STS is high, a positive impact on the quality of life(satisfaction and the food, clothing and housing)was confirmed. Therefore, in order to increase the satisfaction of STS and to improve the quality of life, it is necessary to improve the utilization procedures and safe operations and additional support of the wheelchair lift car to ensure rights of mobility.

  • In order to support secure communication in VANET(Vehicular Ad hoc Network), messages exchanged between vehicles or between vehicle and infrastructure must be authenticated. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical anonymous authentication system for VANET. The proposed system model reduces the overhead of PKG, which is a problem of previous system, by generating private keys hierarchically, thereby enhancing practicality. We also propose a two-level hierarchical identity-based signature(TLHIBS) scheme without pairings so that improve efficiency. The proposed scheme protects the privacy of the vehicle by satisfying conditional privacy and supports batch verification so that efficiently verifies multiple signatures. Finally, The security of the proposed scheme is proved in the random oracle model by reducing the discrete logarithm problem(DLP) whereas the security proof of the previous ID-based signatures for VANET was incomplete.

Crashworthiness Evaluation of Bridge Barriers Built with Hot-dip Zinc-aluminium-magnesium Alloy-coated Steel (고내식성 용융합금도금강판 적용 교량난간의 충돌성능 평가)

  • This paper proposes road safety facilities applying Hot-dip zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy-coated steel sheets and coils to reduce the loss of function caused by the corrosion of steel in the service state. Vehicle crash simulations and full-scale crash tests were carried out to provide reliable information on evaluating the crash performance with the products of road safety facilities built with hot-dip zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy-coated steel. From the results of the simulations and full-scale crash tests, the impact behaviors evaluated by the three-dimensional crash simulations considering the strain-rate dependency in a constitutive model were similar to those obtained from the full-scale crash test results. The full-scale crash test results met the crashworthiness evaluation criteria; hence, the proposed bridge barrier in this paper is ready for field applications.

Efficient Implementation of FMCW Radar Signal Processing Parts Using Low Cost DSP (저가형 DSP를 사용하는 FMCW 레이더 신호처리부의 효율적 구현 방안)

  • Active driving safety systems for vehicle, such as the front collision avoidance, lane departure warning, and lane change assistance, have been popular to be adopted to the compact car. For improving performance and competitive cost, FMCW radar has been researched to adopt a phased array or a multi-beam antenna, and to integrate the front and the side radar. In this paper we propose several efficient methods to implement the signal processing module of FMCW radar system using low cost DSP. The pulse width modulation (PWM) based analog conversion, the approximation of time-eating functions, and the adoption of vector-based computation, etc, are proposed and implemented. The implemented signal processing board shows the real-time performance of 1.4ms pulse repetition interval (PRI) with 1024pt-FFT. In real road we verify the radar performance under real-time constraints of 10Hz update time.
