In order to disperse the traffic in the congestion area, ITS related techniques have been studied advancing. However, the cost of setting up and managing In is considerable to recently improve the problem or In, various traffic analysis technique are problem using low cost RFID. In this paper, the method of RFID-Reader location selection, which is a core technique to analyze traffic amount and traffic context is proposal. In order to systematically utilize traffic related road information, GIS is used for the proposal method. In addition, a rule-based model using O/D data that is the important information for selection the location of traffic observation.

  • This study is to analyze collection factor of food wastes using GIS. For calculation of collection crews and equipment, It was measured velocity(43m/min), moving coefficient(1.9), moving distance(17,200/day), collection rate(0.313kg/day) on the basis of S2Dong. Moving coefficient was able to analyze straight distance of S2Dong using GIS and other areas were also applied to analyze straight distance of each area using same method. At N autonomous district, 10 persons of collection crews were necessary, but collection of food wastes by four forces resulted to be 11 persons of crews necessary. 7 vehicles were necessary, but 8 vehicles were needed by same reason.

Impacts of Delivery Vehicle Routing on Different Inventory Strategies and Network Configurations (재고전략 및 네트워크 구성에 따른 배송차량의 운영특성 연구)

  • Recently, interest in supply chain management is rising along with the increasing oil prices and traffic congestion. In particular, people started studying the issue, but realized that advantageous strategies for suppliers and retailers are not always advantageous to a carrier. Therefore, in this study the atuhors set up a simulation scenario to understand delivery vehicle routing problems under various inventory policies, namely Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) and network configurations. First, the authors made a virtual supply chain. Then they analyzed characteristics of delivery vehicle routing under various inventory policies (EOQ and POQ) and network configurations. As a result, the POQ inventory policy decreases the number of vehicles, the number of drivers, and the service time of vehicles. Also, the centralized network increases the load factor of vehicles and decreases the service time of vehicles. In other words, the centralized network and the POQ inventory policy are better for the carrier. These results show a savings of 15,556,806 won ($13,389.10) in a month: a reduction of 17%.

An Efficient Dynamic Path Query Processing Method for Digital Road Map Databases (디지털 로드맵 데이터베이스에서 효율적인 동적 경로 질의어 처리 방안)

  • In navigation system, a primary task is to compute the minimum cost route from the current location to the destination. One of major problems for navigation systems is that a significant amount of computation time is required when the digital road map is large. Since navigation systems are real time systems, it is critical that the path be computed while satisfying a time constraint. In this paper, we have developed a HiTi(Hierarchical MulTi) graph model for hierarchically structuring large digital road maps to speedup the minimum cost path computation. We propose a new shortest path algorithm named SPAH, which utilizes HiTi graph model of a digital road map for its computation. We prove that the shortest path computed by SPAH is the optimal. Our performance analysis of SPAH also showed that it significantly reduces the computation time over exiting methods. We present an in-depth experimental analysis of HiTi graph method by comparing it with other similar works.

The Effect of the Gust of Wind on Safety of Driving Vehicles in Higher Speed Freeways (강한 바람이 고속도로 차량 주행 안전성에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Despite vehicle instability problems caused by gusts of wind on freeways located in mountain or seaside areas, current national highway design standards overlook their detrimental effects, and if higher design speed freeways being proposed now by the government are in operation, the strong effect of the gust of wind becomes a highway alignment design issue. This paper presents the vehicle movements and their resulting safety effects by checking vehicle sliding and overturn based on vehicle dynamic analysis for the case when a gust of wind blows to vehicles negotiating curves on higher speed freeways. In this analysis, vehicle types, curve radii, motorist responsive time to vehicle driving path changes, and vehicle speeds are systematically arranged to get vehicle sliding and overturn values in each different conditions. The results showed that there were little overturn possibilities when wind speed would stay in 50m/sec with higher than 600 meter curve radii. Interestingly it was also found in sliding checks that, although being safe at less than 15.0m/sec wind speed levels, there appeared the need of vehicle travel prohibitions when the wind speed could exceed 25.0m/sec level. The findings in this research is of information in future higher speed freeway designs, and particularly useful when designing freeways passing frequent gust wind areas.

  • 최근 GPS를 이용한 위치기반서비스(LBS)는 일상생활의 큰 변화를 가져왔다. 이러한 LBS 중에서도 가장 흔히 접할 수 있는 것이 차량 항법용 장치인 네비게이션이다. 초창기의 네비게이션이 단순히 목적지까지 가기 위한 가장 짧은 도로를 안내해 주는 것이 목적이었다면 최근에는 TPEG과 같은 실시간 교통 상황 안내, 이용자 선호도를 고려한 경로탐색, 에코 드라이빙과 같은 좀 더 높은 수준의 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 하지만 현재의 차량항법 시스템은 교통상황 안내 이외에는 현실적인 도로상황 반영이 어렵고 시간대별 통행량의 차이가 큰 국내 교통상황에 대한 고려가 미흡하다. 또한 교통정보 수집장치가 설치되지 않은 도로는 교통상황 안내마저도 제공되지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 임베디드 DBMS를 이용하여 과거 통행이력정보를 저장하고 활용할 수 있도록 도로망 DB스키마를 정의하였다. 그리고 이를 탐색경로의 소요 시간 산출에 활용하여 실제적인 도로상황을 고려한 경로안내 방법을 제안한다. 실제주행이력은 네트워크 데이터의 링크단위로 관리되며 저장된 주행이력은 경로탐색에 필요한 정보인 진입시각, 진출시각, 요일, 통행횟수로 관리된다. 이렇게 단말기에 저장된 주행이력은 중앙DB를 통해 사용자간 공유가 가능하고 향후에는 실시간 동기화를 통해 더욱 신뢰도 높은 경로탐색에 활용될 수 있다.

CAN Data Compression Using DLC and Compression Area Selection (DLC와 전송 데이터 압축영역 설정을 이용한 CAN 데이터 압축)

  • Controller area network (CAN) was designed for multiplexing communication between electronic control units (ECUs) in vehicles and thus for decreasing the overall wire harness. The increasing number of ECUs causes the CAN bus overloaded and consequently the error probability of data transmission increases. Since the time duration for the data transmission is proportional to CAN frame length, it is desirable to reduce the frame length. In this paper, a CAN message compression method is proposed using Data Length Code (DLC) and compression area selection algorithm to reduce the CAN frame length and the error probability during the transmission of CAN messages. By the proposed method, it is not needed to predict the maximum value of the difference in successive CAN messages as opposed to other compression methods. Also, by the use of DLC, we can determine whether the received CAN message has been compressed or not without using two ID's as in conventional methods. By simulations using actual CAN data, it is shown that the CAN transmission data is reduced up to 52 % by the proposed method, compared with conventional methods. By using an embedded test board, it is shown that 64bit EMS CAN data compression can be performed within 0.16ms and consequently the proposed algorithm can be used in automobile applications without any problem.

  • 기존의 전동차 주행 상태 및 고장 상태에 대한 정보는 전동차가 기지 입고시 검수요원이 직접 IC 카드를 가지고 차량으로 가서 다운받아 분석을 하는 방식이다. 이러한 방식은 많은 시간 소요로 인해 검수 인력이 비효율적으로 운영될 수 있으며 검수원의 체계적인 정보 분석이 어렵게 된다. 또한 한정된 메모리 용량으로 인한 정보유실이 발생할 수 있다. 전동차가 기지 입고시 수작업으로 했던 전동차 운행 데이터를 자동으로 무선을 통해 검수사무실로 보낼 수 있도록 함으로써 검수요원의 운행 정보 분석이 빠른 시간에 이루어지도록 하고자 하며, 대용량의 메모리로 이용하여 필요한 정보를 장기간 보관하여 기존 시스템의 단점을 보완하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 무선 전송을 위한 열차의 주행상태 및 고장상태의 정보를 저장하는 VME System과 연결된 개발 보드와 무선 전송된 데이터를 수신하는 서버장치 그리고 데이터 전송 위한 프로그램으로 구성되어 있는 열차 종합정보 전달 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

지중선의 변천과 추세

  • 지중선은 가공선에 비해 공급신뢰성이 높고, 설비보안에 유리하며, 도시미관을 저해하지 않는 장점이 있지만 공사비가 가공선의 12-20배 정도 고가이어서 공사에 막대한 투자비가 소요되기 때문에 가공선건설이 곤란한 도심지역을 제외하고는 지중선건설을 지양하고 있다. 그러나 국가경제가 성장함에 따라 국민생활권이 도심지로 집중하면서 도시가 와밀해졌고 이로 인해 도심부하가 급증하여 오히려 지중선건설은 날로 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 지중선건설에는 막대한 투자재원 확보외에도 사업에 어려움이 많은데 그중에 대표적인 것이 지중토목설비를 적기에 건설하는 것으로서 이 어려움은 앞으로의 차량증가에 따른 도로혼잡과 함께 더욱 심화될 전망이며 이에 대한 근본대책 마련이 시급하다. 이상과 같은 관점에서 볼 때 향후 지중선분야 기술은 케이블 compact화 및 저손실 대용량 케이블 및 신공법 개발에 주력해야 할 것이다. 특히 막대한 투자비를 들여 건설한 지중선은 그 수명기간동안에 고장없이 고품질의 전력을 수용가에 공급하는데 이상이 없어야 하며, 이는 설비운영의 과학화를 통하여 지속적으로 케이블 성능을 보존하므로서 가능하다고 하겠다.

Comparative Analysis on the Effectiveness of Modern Roundabouts and 4-legged Signalized Intersections (회전교차로와 4지 신호교차로 효과에 관한 비교분석)

  • The roundabout was developed in the United Kingdom to rectify problems associated with these traffic circles. In 1966, the United Kingdom adopted a mandatory "give-way" rule at alt circular intersections, which required entering traffic to give way, or yield, to circulating traffic. However, the roundabout used in United States or Europe do not common use in Korea. The purposes of the study is to comparatively analyze the effectiveness of roundabout. In pursuing the above, this study designs the scenarios which can reflect the directional traffic volumes, and analyzes the average control delay of roundabout and 4-leg signalized intersection by SIDRA. The main study results are as follows. First, when the entering traffic volume are less than 2,000pcph, the single-lane roundabout is analyzed to be more effective than 4-leg signalized intersection. Second, when the entering traffic volume are less than 3,200pcph, the double-lane roundabout is evaluated to be more effective than 4-leg signalized intersection. Third, which is installed left and right turn lane at intersection, area for the roundabout is analyzed to be less than that for general intersection area.
