  • 최근 연료 가격의 상승으로 자동차용 연료에 벤젠, 톨루엔 등을 혼합한 가짜휘발유가 많이 유통되고 있다. 가짜휘발유는 벤젠, 톨루엔 등의 방향족물질을 혼합하거나 경유, 등유 등을 혼합하여 사용한다. 방향족 화합물이 많이 함유된 휘발유를 장기간 사용할 경우 차량의 고무부품을 팽윤시켜 연료의 누출 등에 따른 화재 발생의 가능성이 높으며, 톨루엔은 열함량이 작기 때문에 연소효율 저하로 연비를 악화시킨다. 또한 자동차 연료의 조성은 배출가스에도 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가짜휘발유 사용에 따른 배출가스 영향을 정확히 파악하기 위해 휘발유 중 방향족 함량이 다른 세종류의 연료를 사용하여 배출가스 및 연비에 대한 영향을 조사하였다.   • The car-dependent traffic system based on highly advanced industrialization and economic growth causes various urban problems including traffic jams, energy consumption, air pollution, noise, car accidents and other issues. Particularly in urban areas, air pollution from motor vehicles is worse than pollution from past industrialization. In this study, therefore, the authors grasped car exhaust reduction effects by using microsimulation and those traffic policies that could make cars flow smoothly, reducing the air pollution in urban areas through analysis on profitability. As a result, the weekday-based car using system has been found most effective as it does not need investment cost. However, this system may be socially unacceptable, as it requires the government to change driver behavior. Therefore, the government needs to first reach a consensus with the citizens regarding this system. This system will also be effective with other alternatives. As a follow-up study, the authors will research citizens' perceived impacts of car exhaust on air pollution through a study on preference and grasp the possibility of applying these study results to real traffic policies.

  • According to reports in EU and USA, Aromatic ingredient in diesel estimated the causative agent of air pollution. Because reduction of total aromatic and Poly-aromatic compound content are decreasing environmentally harmful emissions HC, NOx, PM. It is necessary to investigate correlationship between automotive technology and fuel quality in Korea. This study examines emission effect of two representative domestic vehicles(2.2 L for emission of Euro 4, 5) and five kinds of domestic diesel fuel (total aromatic compound content 26, 28, 30 wt% and poly-aromatic compound content 3, 5 wt%). Finally, Environmental impact assessment was studied between vehicle and diesel fuel.

  • Recent international environmental regulations are focused on reducing pre-contamination and on sustainable development prior to the usage stage of a product. The Environmental Performance Declaration is being used as a tool for quantifying the environmental performance of products, to reduce contamination in advance, and for advertising the results of railway vehicles in Europe. In this study, a life cycle assessment of the tilting train was conducted, the first such case study in Korea, according to the ISO 14025 standard and Korea EDP (Environmental Declaration of the Product) rule. As a result of the LCA, the life cycle carbon emission of the tilting train was determined to be $3.54{\times}10^7kgCO_2eq.$ which is higher than that of a European train. Also, the amount of $CO_2$ emission of the Mcp and car body is higher than that of the other car and bogie.

Analysis of Emission Gas Characteristics for Gasoline Vehicles using the Inspection Results of Car Emission (운행차 배출가스 정밀검사 결과를 이용한 가솔린 차량에 대한 배출가스 특성 분석)

  • In this study, the following conclusions could be obtained from the analysis of emissions contribution rates and features for contaminated emissions by 13,456 gasoline vehicles passed in the vehicle load test (ASM-idle) under the inspection year 2013 to 2017. It was confirmed that the contamination of the CO, HC, NOx by the displacement is reduced on over 3L engine. As a result of comparing the exhaust gas in the low speed idle mode and the AS2525 mode, the exhaust gas in the low speed idle mode was measured high. It is estimated that if ISG function is applied, emissions from idle condition will be reduced. NOx emissions were reduced when the engine power was above 200HP. It has been confirmed that the amount of exhaust emissions are significantly reduced for vehicles manufactured after 2004. As a result of analyzing the exhaust gas according to the season, it is judged that there is a correlation between HC and NOx according to the ambient temperature. The concentration of exhaust emission in vehicles with high accumulated distance increases, which is considered to be the result of aging of the vehicle.

  • Despite the increasingly stringent automotive emissions regulations, the impact of vehicle emissions on air pollution remains large. In addition, since the issue of emission of more exhaust gas than the exhaust gas measured in the test room when the vehicle passing the exhaust gas regulation standard is run on the actual road, many countries studied and introduced gas regulations about Real Driving Emission using Portable Emission Measurement System. At present, Korea regulations restrict the number of NOx and PN in diesel vehicles. In the case of gasoline vehicles, there is no regulation on emission gas, but there is a problem of continuing automobile exhaust gas problems and a large amount of gasoline GDI vehicle's PN emission. So research and interest are increasing due to this problem. In this study, characteristics of exhaust gas depending on changes of ambient temperature were analyzed among various factors affecting exhaust gas measurement of gasoline vehicles. As a result, at the low temperature test, the lower the ambient temperature, the more the exhaust gas was emitted. At ordinary temperature test, no specific tendency was observed due to changes of ambient temperature.

  • 우리가 살아가고 있는 환경을 보호하고 쾌적한 생활을 영위하기 위하여 우리나라도 미국, 일본, 유럽의 일부국가들과 같은 Off-road 차량의 엔진에 대한 규제 입안의 필요성이 대두되게 되었으며, 본 연구는 국내의 건설장비와 농업용 기계에 대한 배출량과 대기오염 기여도를 산출함으로써 향후에 시행될 이들 규제안의 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • 지구온난화와 환경오염을 줄일 수 있는 하나의 방안으로 고연비의 경유를 사용하는 운송수단이 각광을 받아왔으나, 입자상 오염물질 및 질소산화물 배출량의 증가 등 경유 차량의 이용에도 문제점이 드러나고 있다. 주요 선진국들이 이와 관련한 규제를 강화함에따라 이에 대응할 수 있는 기술 개발이 요구되는 가운데 녹색 기술 개발을 이끄는 국가핵융합연구소는 플라즈마를 활용한 경유 차량의 후처리장치 개발을 추진하고 있다.

A study on the emission characteristics of greenhouse gases according to the vehicle technology, fuel oil type and test mode (차량기술, 연료 유종 및 시험모드 특성에 따른 온실가스의 배출특성 연구)

  • Concerns about an air pollution are gradually increasing at home and abroad. The automotive and fuel researchers are trying to reduce emissions and greenhouse gases of vehicles through a research on new engine designs and innovative after-treatment systems using clean fuels (eco-alternative fuel) and fuel quality improvements. In this paper, we stduy the emission characteristics of greenhouse gases on seven vehicles using gasoline, diesel, and LPG by legal test mode in domestic and abroad.(Urban mode, Highway mode, rapidly acceleration and deceleration, using air conditioner, low temperature condition) Regardless of fuels, most of the greenhouse gases tend to show the worst results in cold FTP-75 mode. In the case of A vehicles (2.0 MPI) and B vehicles (2.4 GDI) using a gasoline fuel, the factors that increase greenhouse gases are in order of a rapidly acceleration and deceleration, using air conditioner, low temperature condition. But G vehicles(LPLi) have different emission characteristics from another vehicles. In the case of A vehicles (2.0 w/o DPF) and B vehicles (2.2 with DPF) using a diesel fuel, the factors that increase greenhouse gases are in order of a rapidly acceleration and deceleration, using air conditioner, low temperature condition. However, the factor of F vehicles are in order of low temperature condition, using air conditioner, rapidly acceleration and deceleration. In conclusion, it will be an effective method to apply different technologies of emission reduction for each fuel.

  • As the interest on the air-pollution is gradually rising up at home and abroad, automotive and fuel researchers have been working on the exhaust emission reduction from vehicles through a lot of approaches, which consist of new engine design, innovative after-treatment systems, using clean (eco-friendly alternative) fuels and fuel quality improvement. This research has brought forward two main issues : exhaust emission and PM (particulate matter) particle emissions of gasoline vehicle. Exhaust emission and PM particle of automotive had many problem that cause of ambient pollution, health effects. In addition, researcher studied the environment problems of the MTBE contained in the fuel as oxygenate additives. The researchers have many data about the health effects of ingestion of MTBE. However, the data support the conclusion that MTBE is a potential human carcinogen at high doses. Based on the oxygenated fuel additive types (MTBE, Bio-ETBE, Bio-ethanol, Bio-butanol), this paper discussed the influence of oxygen contents on gasoline fuel properties and evaporative emission characteristics. Also, this paper assessed the acceleration and power performance of gasoline vehicle for the fuel property.
