$NH_3$-SCR 반응기 내에서의 $NH_3$/NOx 및 SCR 촉매 온도가 DeNOx 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of $NH_3$/NOx ratio and Catalyst Temperature on DeNOx Performance in the $NH_3$-SCR reactor)

  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology is well-known to be effective for the reduction of NOx emission. So car manufacturers has adopted Ures-SCR system to be satisfied with emission regulation. This paper discusses the effective of $NH_3/NOx$ ratio and SCR catalyst temperature in the $NH_3$-SCR reactor on DeNOx performance. So it is shown the characteristic of NOx conversion and ammonia slip using the $NH_3$ instead of Urea-Solution. From the result of this study, it is found to optimize $NH_3/NOx$ ratio to have the best case of high NOx conversion and low ammonia slip at variable SCR catalyst temperatures. Lastly, it is also found the characteristics of NOx conversion and ammonia slip with compared with Urea.

  • The experimental study was carried out for the diffusion flame characteristics of second stage combustor with the variations of temperature and supplying rate of hot exhaust gas from first stage combustor. It also examined the flame structure and NOx formation of the second stage combustor in which the fuel(natural gas) is supplying into the mixture of oxygen hot exhaust gas from first stage combustor. The results show that the increasement of temperature and flow rate of exhaust gas lead to increase the NOx up to 30ppm with 19% $O_2$ condition

소형 선박 디젤엔진의 질소산화물 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on NOx Reduction for a Small Marine Diesel Engine)

  • Air pollutants from a small marine diesel engine are increasing and the IMO(International Marine Organization) regulation asked for its reduction. In this study, NOx reduction technologies such as improvement of various cooling systems are applied to the small marine diesel engine. The various cooling systems are a intercooler, a heat exchanger for engine coolant, and an exhaust manifold by water cooling. These systems are tested on an engine dynamometer and a exhaust gas analyzer by a marine diesel engine test regulation. Test results are shows that the small marine engine are satisfied the IMO NOx regulations; Tire II.

  • It becomes necessary for engine manufactures to verify whether lots of engines on test bed during shop test are in compliance with NOx Technical Code for marine diesel engines more efficiently on the basis of engine group test concept which contains parent engine and member engines since all the engines are not needed to take NOx measurement. In addition, it becomes more obliged to consider parameters which affect NOx emission level and describe these parameters in NOx technical file as engine information and settings to define engine operation range with tolerance to make sure the engines are still in compliance with NOx emission limit on board after shop test. During preparation of engine group test for 4-stroke marine diesel engines, we evaluated NOx emission value under different engine operating conditions and found that there are certain parameters, for example, Charge air temperature and Max. cylinder pressure which have influence on NOx emission level. The NOx emission shall be satisfied with NOx technical code by means of controlling such parameters.

연소배가스 중 질소산화물(NOx) 제거를 위한 생물학적 기술 (Biological Removal of Nitrogen Oxides from Combustion Flue Gases)

  • 연소배가스에 존재하는 질소산화물의 제거를 위해서는 촉매 환원, 흡수, 흡착 등 화학적 기술이 적용되고 있는데, 장기적으로는 환경친화적이고 에너지 소모가 적은 생물학적 공정의 개발 및 이용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 연소 배가스에 존재하는 질소산화물을 제거하기 위한 생물학적 공정의 기술동향을 살펴보고 각각의 장단점을 고찰하였다. 질산화와 탈질 기작을 이용하는 박테리아 시스템과 광합성 미세조류를 이용하는 시스템으로 구분하여 기술의 원리와 현재의 기술 수준을 논하였다. 두 경우 모두 처리속도를 높이기 위해서는 불용성의 일산화질소를 일단 적절한 흡수제에 고농도로 포집시킨 후 미생물에 의하여 분해 또는 고정하는 방향이 바람직하며, 배가스 중 $CO_2$와 NOx를 동시에 고정이 가능하고 별도의 탄소원이 요구되지 않는 미세조류의 활용이 기대된다.

디젤엔진의 질소산화물 저감을 위한 Urea SCR 시스템 특성 분석 (II) (Characterization of SCR System for NOx Reduction of Diesel Engine (II))

  • The Effect of Space Velocity(SV) on NOx conversion rate was performed to develop NOx reduction after-treatment system. SV is calculated from engine exhaust gas volume and SCR catalyst volume. Found the Urea injection duty of maximum efficiency for NOx conversion if increase SV, NOx Conversion rate is down. Especially, when SV is more than $110,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate decrease suddenly. Same case, if SV is lower than $40,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate is down. Also, the characterization of Urea-SCR system was performed. Three candidate injectors for injecting Urea were tested in terms of 속 injection rate and NOx reduction rate. The performances of SCR catalytic converter on temperature were investigated. The performance of Urea-SCR system was estimated in the NEDC test cycle with and without EGR. It was found that nozzle type injector had high NOx conversion rate. SCR catalytic converter had the highest efficiency at the temperature of $350^{\circ}C$. EGR+Urea-SCR system achieved NOx reduction efficiency of 73% through the NEDC test cycle.

  • The present study examined the possibility of NOx reduction in the high temperature industrial furnaces, duct burner of gas turbine cogeneration and two-stage gas turbine combustor. The experimental study was carried out for the non-premixed flame of second stage combustor with the variations of oxygen concentration in the hot exhaust gas of first stage combustor. It also examined the flammability range, temperature and NOx, $CO_2$, $O_2$formation in the combustor with respect to oxygen concentration in which the fuel(natural gas) is supplying into the hot exhaust gas. The results show that the inner temperature of flame reaches 1,20$0^{\circ}C$ at EGR $O_2$23% and that 15ppm of NOx at EGR $O_2$15.5% increases up to 60ppm at EGR $O_2$23%. It is believed that Fenimore's prompt NOx mechanism is more influential on the NOx formation than Zeldovich's thermal NOx mechanism does.

저 NOx2단 선회 분무식 노즐 개발 및 실기적용 연구 (A Study for Development and Application of a Low NOx 2-staged Swirl Atomizer)

  • A study of low NOx atomizer was carried out to reduce nitrogen oxides(NOx) in a liquid fuel burner flame. The basic concept of NOx reduction in this atomizer is the fuel 2-staging combustion which is generated by a single atomizer forming two different stoichiometric flames. Two orifices swirl atomizer was selected and modified to realize this concept, and it was tested to obtain the design process of low NOx atomizer. These experiments were achieved to find out the relationship between the injection pressures and the flow rate, spray angle and drop size of swirl atomizer as well as to confirm the NOx reduction concept in real plant(power boiler). In comparison between experimental and theoretical results, the correct discharge coefficient and spray angle were obtained. In real burning test, NOx reduction rate was reached to above 27% of the case using conventional swirl atomizer.

  • 최근 자동차 수요증가 및 산업용 보일러 둥 급증하는 추세이며 이로 인한 대도시 대기오염 문제는 위험수위에 도달해 있다. 이러한 산업용 보일러, 화력발전소등 고정배출원과 자동차에서 발생하는 배기가스에는 인체에 유해한 일산화탄소(CO), 질소산화물(NOx), 황산화물(SOx)등이 다량 함유되어 있다. 유독성 가스중 질소산화물(NOx) 저감방법에는 특히 선택적 촉매환원법(Selective Catalytic Reduction, SCR)이 가장 널리 적용되고 있다. SCR법은 촉매하에서 NH$_3$, CO, 탄화수소(메탄, 에탄올, 프로판 등)의 환원제를 사용하여 NOx를 $N_2$로 전환하시키는 기술이다. (중략)

TiO2를 이용한 질소산화물 제거 특성 평가 (Evaluation of nitrogen oxide removal characteristics using TiO2)

  • 대기오염물질 중 미세먼지는 심각한 사회적 환경문제로 인식되고 있다. 미세먼지의 원인 물질 중 하나인 질소산화물(NOx)은 석탄화력발전소의 연소공정에서 주로 발생하므로 효율적인 NOx 제거가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 선택적 촉매 환원법(Selective Catalytic Reduction, SCR)을 이용한 NOx 제거에서 $TiO_2$ 광촉매의 NO 제거효율을 연구하였다. NO 제거효율을 평가하기 위해 발열제가 내장된 $Al_2O_3$ 기판 표면에 $TiO_2$ 촉매와 인산염의 접착 바인더를 혼합하여 도포한 후 제조된 기판을 열처리하면서 실험을 수행하였다. 온도에 따른 촉매의 NO 제거효율을 평가하였고, 촉매의 물리화학적 특성을 위하여 XRD, SEM, TG-DTA, BET 분석을 수행하였다. NOx 제거 효율은 시간에 따른 온도변화($250^{\circ}C{\sim}500^{\circ}C$)로 20분에서 제거효율은 58.7%~65.9%이며, 30분에서 63.7%~66.0%로 나타났다. 질소산화물 제거용 SCR로 사용되는 $TiO_2$$300^{\circ}C$가 제거효율이 가장 효율적인 것으로 판단된다.
