  • 본 연구는 고속으로 회전하는 축류압축기(송풍기)의 설계 및 운전에 기초가 되는 축류회전 익렬에서의 유동계산과 유동측정, 그리고 고속회전에 따른 진통해석과 안전진단을 위한 이상 진단 시스템개발에 관해 연구한 것이다. 따라서 회전날개의 진통해석, 선회실속시의 회전날개의 진통해석, 전 체계의 동력학적 해석, 그리고 회전축의 비틀림 진동 및 선회진동의 제어로 나누어 수행하였다. 또한 각각의 연구에 대하여 수치해석과 실험을 병행하여 이론해석과 설정한 모델의 타당성을 검증하였다.

A Study on the Vibration Analysis for the Composite Multi-axial Optical Structure of an Aircraft (항공기용 복합재료 다축 광학 구조의 진동해석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a dynamic model is proposed for multi-axis optical structure of an aircraft. Modal analysis, sine-wave analysis, and random vibration analysis are done using a multi-body dynamic program for the multi-axis optical structure. By applying Al 6061-T6 and two types of CFRP to the camera module, x, y, and z responses are found and compared according to each axis excitation. The results will be used for reducing the weight of the camera module.

  • In this study, structural optimum design was applied to the girder of magnet over head crane. The optimization was carried out using ANSYS Code for the deadweight of girder, especially focused on the thickness of its upper, lower, side and reinforced plates. The weight could be reduced up to around 15 % with constraints of its deformation, stress, natural frequency and buckling strength. The structural safety was also verified by the buckling analysis of its panel structure. It might be thought to be very useful to design the conventional structures for the weight save through the structural optimization.

  • The numerical investigation for the effects of blasting-induced vibration on adjacent dam and pore water pressure fluctuation was conducted through solid-water coupled analysis under dynamic loading. The stability of dam was examined by peak particle velocity of core. Pore water pressure distributions were calculated by steady state flow analysis using coupled analysis on ground water and blasting-induced vibration. The influence of pore water pressure and the effective stress distribution in the ground were also investigated. Furthermore, effective stress alteration was examined by applying Finn & Byrne Model to monitor the generation and dissipation of pore water pressure.

  • This paper presents the new linear notion device so called \"inch-werm\" which gets large displacement by incrementally summing small displacements of PZT actuators. Dynamic stiffness of inch-worm is generally low compared to its driving condition due to the requirement of inch-worm like small size and light weight. This low stiffness may degenerate the positional precision of inch-worm. An inch-worm is realized using three PZT actuators, a monolithic moving device and a guide way frame. Finite element method and experimental approach are used to analyse the static and dynamic motion of the designed inch-worm. Command reference input is shaped to reduce the residual vibration of inch-worm. The practical feasibility of inch-worm is also examined by running tests.ing tests.

  • The stabilities of a pinned-pinned straight pipe conveying fluid are investigated by complexification-averaging method. The flow is assumed to vary harmonically about a constant mean velocity. Instability conditions of a governing equation are analytically obtained about parametric primary, secondary and combination resonances. The resulted stability conditions show that instabilities exist when the frequency of flow fluctuation is close to one and two times the natural frequency or to the sum of any two natural frequencies. In case that the fluctuated flow frequency is close to the difference of two natural frequencies, instabilities does not exist.

Transmissibility Effect Evaluation of Buildings Near Railroad Areas (철도인접지역 건물에 대한 진동전달율의 영향성 평가)

  • For train vibration influence assessment of newly constructed buildings in building design levels, 4 train measured vibration acceleration responses were used to compare with TR theory values and suitability of TR values was proposed. Through this TR method, construction planned grounds located near railroad areas were selected and ground vibration measurement was conducted. Through natural frequency by MIDAS, vertical acceleration response, and ground frequency from measured vibration response, TR was calculated and vibration prediction was conducted. As a result of comparing acceleration response estimate applying TR and measured value of train vibration acceleration response, it was found that it was in 3.61%~37.1% of margin of error. Clear peak of 7.19~10.61Hz in KTX, Gyungeuisun, and cement train were confirmed.

Hospice and Palliative Care for the Terminal Patients with Colorectal Cancer (말기 대장직장암 환자의 호스피스 완화의료)

  • Purpose: Colorectal ranter is the 4th leading cause of cancer death in Korea and the prevalence is increasing continuously. This study was aimed to figure out the problems through the clinical consideration about terminal colorectal ranter patients who had died in hospice unit. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records in 78 patients with colorectal ranter who had admitted, received palliative care, and died in a hospice unit between April 2003 and November 2006. Results: The median age of patients was 59.6 years with 45 men (58%) and 24 women (42%). The median survival in hospice and palliative care was 36 days. The median hospitalization was 22 days. The most prevalent reason for admission was pain (38 patients, 49%), and the most common symptom was also pain (70 patients, 90%). Forty eight patients (62%) took analgesics before hospice referral. Twenty seven patients (65%) of 45 patients with intestinal obstruction have been performed palliative procedures. Median survival of patients with palliative procedure was higher than that of no palliative procedure group (47 days vs 19 days, P-value=0.005). Conclusion: The duration of hospice and palliative care was not enough to care the terminal colorectal cancer. Therefore, we suggest that proper education and information should be provided to physician, patients and their family members for effective hospice and palliative care.

  • We provide the reader with a brief introduction to the neurobiology of neuropeptides. Several comprehensive reviews of the distribution and neurochemical, neurophysiological, neuropharmacological and behavioral effects of the major neuropeptides have recently appeared. In reviews of the large number of neuropeptides in brain and their occurance in brain regions thought to be involved in the pathogenesis of major psychiatric disorders, investigators have sought to determine whether alternations in neuropeptide systems are associated with schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcoholism and neurodegenerative disease. There is no longer any doubt that neuropeptide-containing neurons are altered in several neuropsychiatric disorders. One of the factors that has hindered neuropeptide research to a considerable extent is the lack of pharmacological agents that specifically alter the synaptic availability of neuropeptides. With the exception of naloxone and naltrexone, the opiate-receptor antagonists, there are few available neuropeptide- receptor antagonists. Two independent classes of neuropeptide-receptor antagonists has been expected to be clinically useful. Naltrexone, a potent ${\mu}$-receptor antagonist, has been used successfully to reduce the need for alcohol consumption. And cholecycstokinin antagonists are now in development as a new class of anxiolytics, which would be expected to be free from tolerance and physical dependence and lack of sedation. In this review, we deal with these two kinds of neuropeptide system, the opioid system and cholesystokinins in the brain. The role of opioid systems in the reinforcement after alcohol consumtion and that of cholesystokinins in the pathogenesis of anxiety will be discussed briefly. As we know, the future for neuropeptides in psychiatry remains bright indeed.
