Micro-vibration Isolation Performance Verification for the Passive Vibration Isolator using SMA Mesh Washer (SMA 메쉬 와셔를 적용한 수동형 진동절연기의 미소진동 절연성능 검증)

  • Fly-wheel, Gimbal antenna, CMG, Spaceborne cyrocooler generate micro-vibration during their on-orbit operation as well as implementing their own function. To comply with the mission requirement of high resolution observation satellite, additional technical efforts have been required to isolate the micro-vibration derived from such payloads by applying the vibration isolator. In this study, we proposed a passive isolator using SMA mesh washer, which guarantees the structural safety of both micro-vibration disturbance source and itself under harsh launch vibration loads without an additional holding mechanism and the micro-vibration isolation performance on orbit environment. To verify the micro-vibration isolation performance of the proposed vibration isolator, we performed the micro-vibration isolation measurement test using the dedicated micro-vibration measurement device proposed in this study.

  • 압전 구동기는 여러 가지 적용에 있어서 높은 응답 속도와 큰 힘, 작은 크기 둥의 장점을 가지고 미세 구동에서 독보적인 위치를 차지하고 있다. 하지만, 히스테리시스, 크? 등의 압전 소자 자체의 비선형성과 이의 구동을 위한 증폭기 등의 한계로 압전 소자의 동적인 특성은 비교적 열악한 것으로 알려져 있다. 특히, 구동 속도가 빨라질 수록 히스테리시스 곡선의 모양이 달라게 되어 구동 궤적의 정확한 예측이 어려우며, 증폭기의 최대 발생 전류가 충분치 않을 경우 압전 구동기가 지령치를 따르지 못하게 된다.(중략)

  • Micro-vibration induced by on-board equipments such as fly-wheel and cryogenic cooler with mechanical moving parts affects the image quality of high-resolution observation satellite. Micro-vibration isolation system has been widely used for enhancing the pointing performance of observation satellites. In general, the micro-vibration isolation system requires a launch locking mechanism additionally to guarantee the structural safety of mission payloads supported by the isolation system with low stiffness under launch environment. In this study, we propose a passive launch and on-orbit vibration isolation system using shape memory alloy mesh washers for the micro-vibration isolation of spaceborne compressor, which does not require the additional launch locking mechanism. The basic characteristics of the isolator were measured in static and free vibration tests of the isolator, and a simple equivalent model of the isolator was proposed. The effectiveness of the isolator design in a launch environment was demonstrated through sine vibration, random vibration and shock tests.

  • Pulse tube-type spaceborne cryocooler is widely used to cool down the infrared sensor of observation satellites. However, such cryocooler also generates micro-vibration which is the one of main sources to seriously affect the image quality during its on-orbit operation. Therefore, to comply with the mission requirement of high resolution observation satellite, additional technical efforts have been required.   • Micro-vibration induced by on-board appendages that have mechanical moving parts has always been treated as an useless objective that has to be isolated, in order to comply with a high-resolution mission requirement of the observation satellite. In this study, we proposed a tuned mass damper energy harvester combined with a conventional passive vibration isolator for exhibiting dual functions of both electrical energy harvesting and micro-vibration isolation. The feasibility of the proposed dual-function complex system has been demonstrated through the comparison with numerical simulations, based on the results of basic characteristic tests, and experiments of the harvested power and micro-vibration.

  • Parametric study on the lever type dynamic anti-resonance vibration isolator (DAVI) is executed to introduce the system in the path of vibration transmission for the vibratory response attenuation. The effects of inertia and location of the lever on the system performances are investigated using FEA. The effects of other parameters such as ratio of lever lengths, ratio of masses and the location of pivot are studied with analytical approach. According to the results, all the parameters except lever location affect the system response in their own ways. Consequently, the optimal lever type DAVI for translational or rotational system can be efficiently designed by selecting system parameters using the procedure introduced in this study.

Experimental Investigation on Vibration Control Performances of the Piezoelectric Hybrid Mount (압전 하이브리드 마운트의 진동제어 성능에 대한 실험적 고찰)

  • A hybrid mount featuring rubber element and piezoelectric actuator is devised to reduce vibration when starting a vehicle engine. As a first step, a passive mount adopting rubber element is manufactured and its dynamic characteristics are experimentally evaluated. After evaluating dynamic characteristics of the manufactured inertial piezoelectric actuator, the proposed hybrid mount is then established by integrating the piezoelectric actuator with the rubber element for performance improvement at non-resonant high frequencies. A mathematical model of the established active vibration control system is formulated and expressed in the state space form. Subsequently, sliding mode controller (SMC) is designed to attenuate the vibration transmitted from the base excitation. Finally, control performances of the proposed hybrid mount are evaluated such as transmissibility in frequency domain and time responses.

  • 이 논문은 금속성 돌기물에 의한 불평등전계중에서의 비진동성과 진동성 임펄스전압에 의한 SF$_{6}$ 가스의 절연파괴 특성에 대해 기술하였다. 절연파괴전압-시간특성을 가스압 0.1-0.5MPa의 범위에서 정.부 극성의 전압을 인가하여 측정하였으며, 그리고 50.ohm.분류기를 통해서 전구방전 전류를 관측하였다. 가스압력에 의한 리이더 진전시간의 의존성도 측정하였다. 스트리머 코로나에 의해 발생하는 공간전하에 의한 국부전계강화는 시험갭의 전기적 절연파괴에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 절연파괴는 초기 스트리머 코로나로부터 발단되어, 국부전계강화에 의한 리이더진전으로 이루어진다.

Development of Pipe configuration of Air Conditioner Compressor for Vibration Isolation (진동절연을 위한 에어컨 압축기의 파이프 배열기술 개발)

  • Rubber mounts so called grommets and pipes are two major paths of vibration transmission from a compressor, an important vibration source in an air conditioner, to the whole unit. A procedure of configuring the suction and discharge pipes of the compressor was developed in this paper so as to reduce the vibration transmission through the pipes as well as the grommets. Through investigating the effects of shapes and connecting disrections of pipe elements on vibration transmission, a guideline to configure the pipe layout, which enables to reduce vibration transmission, was proposed. The initial pipe layout by the guideline was optimized with the objective function, minimization of boty vibration transmission and the cost, and with the constraints to yield the final dimensions of the pipes. The procedure not only minimizes the transmitted force to the circumferential devices but enables to eliminate rubber blocks or dampers, which are generally used to avoid resonances of the pipe system.
