This study is a study on 11-story apartments that increase the event of fires in old apartments where building-related laws and regulations are not retroactively applied. As a result of analyzing the risk of installing fire doors in Improvement Scenario 2-4, assuming that fire doors are installed as basic scenario 1 in the existing situation where fire doors are not installed at the entrance of direct stairs. In basic scenario 1, the visible distance to the entrance of the direct staircase due to the spread of smoke was 260 seconds. Improvement scenarios 3 to 4 with fire doors installed open 300 seconds after the fire was recognized, and when the fire doors were installed at the entrance of the direct stairs, the visibility to the entrance of the statistics team was less than 600 seconds. In this case, the visibility was 600 seconds at the time of installation of the fire door, and scenarios 3 to 4 increased 56.6% compared to scenario 1, lowering the risk of evacuation by more than 50%. In order to eliminate the risk of non-installation of direct statistical groups that increase the risk of smoke spread, building-related laws such as the Fire Fighting Act shall be retroactively applied when installing a direct stairway entrance or balcony folding evacuation system. The improvement caused by the installation of fire doors has numerically proven the necessity of fire doors during evacuation, and the importance of maintaining fire doors can be grasped.

AREX (Incheon Airport Railway Express) operates trains between Seoul and Incheon Airport. One type of trains stops on every 10 stations, and another only on the two end-stations which called an Express train. The passengers traveled on express trains are very small since there are only two stops, Seoul and Incheon Airport Stations. The passengers of express trains will be more attracted if the express train stops on the intermediate stops (Gimpo station) since Line #9 and Line #5 are connected to from Gangnam. An on-board survey was conducted to predict the potential demand in case the express train stops at the Gimpo station. Further the costs required to improve platforms of the station were estimated to figure out the economic feasibility against the demand increases. It analyzed 938 increases for the case of intermediate stopping on the same travel time condition and 1,299 increases for the case of extra stop with decreased travel time. The study concluded the latter case appears desirable in the stance of long-term while both cases are economically feasible.

There are many kinds of motors operating by rated voltage which is constant. In this paper, the characteristics of separately excited direct current motor is analyzed when its terminal voltage is varied as its load current. As for this source, direct current generator of a series field is used, and it is driven at constant speed by a primemover. The induced voltage of the generator is propotional to its load current but it saturates as its load current is large. The charateristics of motor is studied by analog computer because of the nonlinearity of generator. The results are as follows: (1) The load current and the rotor speed of motor increase as the load of motor increases. But the speed of rotor decreases for the influence of the saturation of the iron of generator field when its load current is large. (2) Decreasing the inertia of motor and increasing the inductance of the armature circuit improve the stability of motor and the region of stable state. (3) By changing the field current of the motor, the speed and the direction of rotor can be controlled in wide range.

Purpose: The goal of this research is to create a numerical analytic database that may assist fire prevention managers and building officials in prioritizing items that need to be addressed in order to improve evacuation safety performance while working within a constrained budget and time frame. Method: It was carried out utilizing the CFD Tool, a quantitative evaluation approach, to assess evacuation safety. One direct staircase-type apartment houses and one corridor-type apartment were chosen to make it. Result: In the fire compartment category, Apartment A's evacuation time was around 130 percent longer than that of sprinkler facilities. Conclusion: Fire prevention managers and building officials feel that starting with a single level and implementing "dwelling unit separations" will increase evacuation safety, and that maintaining fire compartments and sprinkler systems at all times will be effective. Because of the limited characteristics of smoke propagation in corridor-type apartments compared to direct staircase-type flats, it is thought that fire extinguishing equipment should be addressed.

Now operating lines of many urban railway are currently in progress in the Seoul, but the inadequate consideration of links between different lines could create inconvenience as the public transport. This paper is studied about the connection service design of urban-railway convinced for other metropolis railways forms and propose the base pilot plan of the railway network linking system in Seoul Metropolis.

For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test to 120 km/h for estimating the running safety of express train in Incheon International Airport. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon International Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

The Incheon International Airport Express(I'Rex) is the railroad that connects Incheon International Airport, Gimpo Airport and Seoul Station. I'Rex is now under construction, and it will be connected to Gimpo Airport by 2007, to Seoul Station by 2010. However, there has been no discussion on how th connect different routes of railway Systems. Therefore it seems likely that rail passenger demand will be lower than that of limousine bus. Therefor, this paper proposes 4 effective connecting methods for I'Rex - (1) Shuttle transport, (2) Short-distance connecting transport (Inside I'Rex, Seoul Subway Line 9, 'Han-River line') (3) Mid-distance connecting transport (Jung-ang, Tae-baek, Young-dong line) (4) Long-distance connecting transport (Korean Train Express (Korean high speed railroad)) These methods can increase the connectivity of I'Rex with existing railroads and the competition power of I'Rex against a highway.

청각의 중요성은 새잠스럽게 말활 필요도 없고 농아가 말못하는 것은 누구나 다 알 수 있는 사실입니다. 그러나 음을 하나하나 습득하고 단어를 하나하나 반복하면서 언어습득을 시작하는 유년기에 있어서 청각은 더욱 독특한 역활을 합니다. 조국에 돌아와서 일하기 시작한지 일년이 조금 넘었으나 최초부터 우리 연구소에 찾아오는 어린이가 구주제국보다 훨씬 연소하고 또 수가 훨씬 많은 데 놀랐습니다. 그 중 대다수가 조음장애라든가 언어지연입니다. 더욱 놀라운 점은 이러한 장애가 정상지능의 어린이에게 많은 것입니다. 일반상식으로 어휘력과 발표력이 부족한 어린이들은 정신지체아와 혼동하게 됩니다. 연구소에 진단받으러 오는 어린이들을 체계적으로 청각 검사를 한 결과를 슬라이드를 통해서 말씀드리겠습나다. 검사받은 어린이 중 50-60%가 청각에 이상이 있는 것이 발견되었습니다. 동반한 어머니들은 너무나 놀라서 "우리 아이는 검사를 받았어요! 모두 정상이라고 그랬어요" 이 엄마 말씀도 정당하고 전검사도 정당활 것입니다. 그러나 이러한 어린이들의 문제는 특수합니다. 즉 경도난청에다 또 일시적 난청이기 때문에 명시에 생활하는 데는 큰 지장이 없고 때에 따라서는 청각이 거의 완전히 회복되고 또 몇 주후에 감기가 들거나 하면 다시 난청이 되는 것입니다. 이러한 난청문제가 일년에 3-4번씩 반복되어 어린이가 만 3-4세가 되면 약 1년간 청확한 음을 청취못한 셈이 됩니다. 조석에 기온차가 대단한 계절, 난방의 발달로 인하여 실내는 영상 24도이고 문 한겹만 열고 나가면 영하 10도 그 차이는 34도, 거리로 나가면 일산화탄소를 뿜고 쾌주 하는 차량, 버스나 트럭에셔 나오는 연기는 키가 작은 어린이 코속으로 직통하고 에어컨 시스댐으로 난방.냉방하는 지하상가, 백화점, 지하철 기타 대건물에는 바이러스 만연의 적절한 곳이 됩니다. 생리적 저항력이 없는 어린이들은 이러한 공해와 생활조건의 제일희생자가 되는 것입니다. 엄마들이 "얘는 감기, 비염, 편도선을 달고 삽니다...." "얘는 코감기, 목감기 번갈아 가면서 하도 앓고 있어서 양약율 중지하고 현재 한약을 먹고 있습니다." 이러한 역경은 극복할 수 있는가\ulcorner 질병의 메카니즘은 어떻게 작용되는가\ulcorner 등등을 육미회 센타에서 체험한 사례를 가지고 말씀드리고자 합니다.

This article reviewed the status of military force on the DMZ(demilitarized zone) without any confidential problems after literature reviewing on a ceasefire agreement and these powerful military force is judged to be a very serious setback to peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula. Also it suggests the ways to reduce inter-korean military force based on the political and economic phenomenon to preparing for an era of reunification of the Korean Peninsula. The easing of tension on the inter-korean military force is an essential element in building infrastructure of peaceful reunification. From now on, both Seoul and Pyongyang might check inter-Korea exchange cooperation Project and reconcile their differences. Primarily, The troops of DMZ would be minimized by Modernization for Military confidence-building. Increasing North-South hotline as possible further, it could contributes to ease of tension in case of emergency. Political and economic plans should be presented that do not arise the military tension simultaneously with ensuring political and economic aspects in the North Korea's regime.
