This paper deals with the development of manually operated die used for the manufacture of octagonal boxes into two sets of automated die. In particular, theoctagonal boxes are used fur the switch boxes intended fur the cable conduit of buildings or f3r wiring connection. Manufacturing these boxes requires forming the materials using the primary press before they undergo 2nd through 6th processing by the press machine including the four sides of the octagonal outlet box and bending. Such complicated process hikes up labor cost, slows down production, and results in defect rate of $10\%$ or higher; hence the overall rise in manufacturing cost. Moreover, workers avoid this type of work due to the roar and vibration coming from the press and the risk of accident. To eliminate such phenomenon, a CAM die made by integrating five sets of die into one set of die and an automatic conveyor system were developed. As a result, unmanned work was realized with only two units of press and two sets of die; thus solving the problem of work being avoided and saving on manufacturing cost.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the predictors of blood and body fluid exposure (BBFE) in multifaceted individual (sleep disturbance and fatigue), occupational (occupational stress), and organizational (hospital safety climate) factors, as well as infection prevention behavior. We also aimed to test the mediating effect of infection prevention behavior in relation to multifaceted factors and the frequency of BBFE. Methods: This study was based on a secondary data analysis, using data of 246 nurses from the Shift Work Nurses' Health and Turnover study. Based on the characteristics of zero-inflated and over-dispersed count data of frequencies of BBFE, the data were analyzed to calculate zero-inflated negative binomial regression within a generalized linear model and to test the mediating effect using SPSS 25.0, Stata 14.1, and PROCESS macro. Results: We found that the frequency of BBFE increased in subjects with disturbed sleep (IRR = 1.87, p = .049), and the probability of non-BBFE increased in subjects showing higher infection prevention behavior (IRR = 15.05, p = .006) and a hospital safety climate (IRR = 28.46, p = .018). We also found that infection prevention behavior had mediating effects on the occupational stress-BBFE and hospital safety climate-BBFE relationships. Conclusion: Sleep disturbance is an important risk factor related to frequency of BBFE, whereas preventive factors are infection prevention behavior and hospital safety climate. We suggest individual and systemic efforts to improve sleep, occupational stress, and hospital safety climate to prevent BBFE occurrence.

The police have a responsibility to ensure the safety such as the Public peace and order, life and property of the people. Therefore the police system is to be provided in the organization and functioning. And the policemen should live correctly in public or private living. The police shall perform the duties matching the expectations of the people. But in reality the poloce disappointed, so the people were often to be angry. In this paper, I want to derive the core values of the police as a way to get the confidence of the people by analyzing the code of ethics, the moral of the police institution and the great acts of policemen. Core values are the most important values as the basis for action a nd the most important foundation that make up the organizational culture. Core values of korean police are justice and the spirit of sacrifice, honor.

Ambulances are an important element of pre-hospital emergency medical services, and also an important space for improving the work efficiency of paramedics. Paramedics use the interior environment to maximize the capabilities of the space, but ambulances need to be improved to help with the responsibilities of paramedics. A Seamless space was constructed in accordance with the placement of first-aid emergency medical equipment and drugs, and a patient room was loaded in the interior space of an ambulance. This study was to improve the treatment space of an ambulance to improve the efficiency of work by paramedics The new design provides safety and efficiency for emergency medical services through planning of interior storage suitable for the duties of paramedics and through identification and analysis of the problems in the environment.

It is naturally to be expected that the stress of seafarers has some specific characters compared to other workers who are labouring on land. Because the physical rigors of working and living at sea has been endured as a part of job. The excessive stress caused by shipboard life, their jobs, can weaken the health status and court the work related accidents. Also it will be the immediate causes of marine accidents such as collision, sinking etc. In this paper, a questionnaire survey was undertaken to find out the approximate quantity and source of seafarer's occupational stress. And the heart rate of deck officers on duty was measured to develop a profile of correlation between the stress and the work.

Communication problems have been regarded as one of the biggest causes in trouble in many industries. This led to extensive research on communication as a part of human error analysis. The results of existing researches have revealed that maintaining a good quality of communication is essential to secure the safety of a large and complex process system. In this paper, we suggested a method to measure the quality of communication during off-normal situation in main control room of nuclear power plants. It evaluates the cosine similarity that is a measure of sentence similarity between two operators by finding the cosine of the angle between them. To check the applicability of the method to evaluate communication quality, we compared the result of communication quality analysis with the result of operation performance that was performed by operators under simulated environment.

Although agriculture has a long history, there has beena lack of consideration and interest in farmers. This paper considered the present condition of agriculture on anergonomic perspective using a literature review and suggestsdirections for afuture study to improve the work efficiency and safety-health of farmers. The results showed that the literature could beclassified 4 categories; the design of agriculture equipment, safety-health, safety management, and product design. The safety-health category contained the majority of papers with product design category containing the minority. In future, a study ofproduct liability probability, the design of a work and rest time, and clothes design against cold will be needed.

The purpose of this study is to make people acknowledge the danger of the air terror and provide measures to prevent a recurrence of the accident and find required security. Also, the air terror is categorized into aircraft and airport and take steps to come up with preventive measures against the air terror by finding a countermeasure and precaution. The following steps should be checked to take precautionary measures against the air terror. major security crackdown and the need for a further security check should be conducted to prevent terrorists from boarding the aircraft, security around the airport needs to be tightened up by training the airport workers and promoting emergency situations, airport sheriffs and armed guards should be on patrol for the safety of the cabin, new measures of efficient security for in and around the airport and its facilities should be set up to tighten up security of baggage.

Our nation has experienced remarkable growth over the half a century. Nonetheless, there is still much room for improvement in the area of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). In particular, frequency and severity of industrial accidents did not considerably improve compared to the economic and social progress we made. The main objective of this research is to analyze what plans and actions are required for companies to promote industrial safety by 1) fostering functional competencies of EHS staffs and 2) effectively and proactively responding to rapidly changing EHS environment. For this research, EHS staffs from five large companies in Korea were surveyed. Most respondents indicated that one of key expertise required by EHS staffs is capabilities to effectively deal with changes to various domestic and international EHS-related laws and regulations. Furthermore, a predominant number of respondents commented that it is imperative for EHS staffs to have a broad knowledge of business management. As for internal issues that EHS staffs encounter within their organizations, many pointed out that their EHS vision is not sufficiently shared throughout the organization, and that the rules of leadership are critical in solving this issue. On the other hand, the survey respondents also raised an issue of limited EHS-related investments due to slow economy. As a solution, they proposed ways to align EHS organization's performance with the company's performance. Based on this survey, issues and solutions for EHS organizations were identified. Results of this research can benefit companies that plan to newly establish or further expand EHS organization.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to standardize the process code of the work environment measurement database (WEMD) for the construction of a job-exposure matrix (JEM). Methods: The standard process code (SPC) was reclassified based on process similarity and drawing upon the code used in the existing K2B. It was supplemented through review by industrial hygiene experts. In addition, an index word database related to SPC was created and used for SPC search. A pilot evaluation project was conducted by experts to evaluate the validity of the newly reclassified standard process code. Results: A total of 70 final SPCs were developed, including 31 processes related to the construction industry. Using the Shiny program, we developed a standard code finder that can be used on the web (https://kscf.shinyapps.io/scf_app/). As a result of the pilot evaluation, it was determined that it was easier to search for standard codes than previous codes, so it was highly utilized. Conclusions: It is expected that JEM construction using industry-process information drawing on WEMD data will be possible using the 70 newly standardized process codes.
