  • This study uses a structural equation model for the turnover intention of female nurses performing shift work at a tertiary hospital. Data collection was conducted from November 11 to December 20, 2015, and 283 samples were included in the final analysis. As a result, 12 of the 19 hypotheses of the final model were supported. It was confirmed that external employment opportunities, nursing professional value, nursing organizational culture, job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and burn out accounted for 47.8% of the turnover intention. Burn out(+) and organizational commitment(-)had direct effects on turnover intentions, and nursing professional, relationship-oriented nursing organizational culture, and job stress showed indirect effects. Therefore, in order to reduce the turnover intention of female nurses working in shifts at tertiary hospitals, it is necessary to prevent burnout, increase organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. For this purpose, measures to strengthen relation-oriented nursing organizational culture and nursing professional intuition are required. In terms of hospital manpower management, the institutional arrangements of hospitals that enable flexible working hours adjustment, mutually respectful relationship-centered organizational culture, education, and policy support to reinforce nursing professional intuition, and the institutional system of hospitals to work with pride should be implemented.

  • This research introduced the concept of 'alternative attractiveness' derived from the social exchange theory to the research model predicting turnover intention among salesforce. By doing so, we tried to broaden the understandings of relationship between salesperson job attitude and salesperson behavior. We collected and analysed the data from the survey on the 178 salespeople employed at the life insurance companies. We found the alternative attractiveness to be a significant antecedent of the turnover intention. Specifically, the more attractive the alternative the greater the intention of turnover. However, we also found that the salesforces are less attracted to the alternative if they are more satisfied with their jobs. Finally, this research can be a seminary work with the relational perspective for the studies of salesforce management.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of perceived job insecurity on job crafting behaviors among employees from two different cultures: Jamaica and South Korea. Growth needs strength was also examined as a moderating variable on the job insecurity/job crafting relationship. This study collected 102 data samples from working individuals from Jamaica and 98 from South Korea. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and the hierarchical regression analysis were used in order to analyze the data. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0. Our research results indicated that perceived job insecurity has a significant effect on employees job crafting behaviors. The relationship between perceived job insecurity and job crafting behaviors differs based on culture. In addition, employees growth need strength moderates the relationship between the two variables. Although this study has some limitations, it contributed to the stress-coping literature by showing that individuals will engage in coping behaviors when they perceived job insecurity in the organization. In addition, culture and individual drive or need for growth plays an important role in how individuals cope with perceived stress or uncertainty.

  • In this paper, we wanted to look at the effects of person-organization fit and person-job fit of social welfare officials on the job enthusiasm, but also examine the mediated effect of organizational committment. The study found that person-job fit has a positive effect on the job enthusiasm of public officials in charge of social welfare, and that the mediating effect of organizational committment is also partially covered. However, person-organization fit does not have a direct impact on job enthusiasm, but has been shown to have a full mediated effect through organizational committment. As a result of these studies, social welfare officials are judged to lack consistency and affinity within the organization, while their individual abilities, purposes, and demands are in line with their duties and job enthusiasm for their duties. Therefore, it is necessary to provide support at the organizational level and to create a sense of unity in order to enhance the job enthusiasm of public officials in charge of social welfare.
