  • 본 논문은 한국산 박새의 소리를 이용한 위도에 따른 지리적 변이에 관한 논문이다. Note types은 2 음절에서는 low note가 16개, high note에서는 18개 type을 나타내었고, 3음절의 secondary-high note에서 11개의 유형을 나타내었고, low note에서는 대체로 Nm VFV type을 많이 사용하였고, high note에서는 특이하게 모든 sitedptj M type을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 위도에 따른 지역적이 변이는 해안지역이 내륙지역보다 더 많이 나타났고(MANOVA , p<0.001) , factor 별 공유정도는 phrase와 phraserks duration, low note의 frequency range, high note의 frequency range에서는 차이를 보였고 (ANOVA, p<0.05), 다른 factor들에서는 대부분 factor의 유형이 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

Reproductive Ecology and Genetic Variations in the Sea Urchins Anthocidaris crassispina and Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus in the Cheju Coast (제주연안에 서식하는 보라성게 Anthocidaris crassispina와 말똥성게 Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus의 지역별 번식생태학적 특성과 유전적 변이의 비교)

  • Genetic variabilities of local populations of Anthocidaris crassispina and Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus were analysed by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique with phenotypic variabilities in timing of gonadal maturation, reproductive output and size of individuals in Cheju. H, pulcherrimus, collected from 4 locations during March 1997, indicated that Daepo individuals were significantly smaller than that at Hamdok, Wimi site A and Wimi site B (ANOVA, p>0.001). Gonodal-somatic index (GSI) of the Wimi site B population was significantly higher than that of three other locations (ANOVA, P>0.0001). An ANOVA test conducted on test size of A. crassispina, harvested from six different locations of Cheju during June 1997, indicated that the size of individuals from Pophwan was significantly smaller (P>0.0001) than that from five other locations. GSIs of urchin m Wimi and Hanlim were significantly higher than that from Pohwan and Oedo (ANOVA, p>0.0001). Genetic similarity, calculated from k13 primer analysis of total DNA, among the six different populations of A. crassispina varied from 0.67 to 0.92, and the values for H. pulcherrimus from 0.60 to 0.73; thus there was no genetic variation among different populations of the same species. Therefore, the populations are genetically homologous and the observed phenotypic variabilities were possibly associated with water temperature and food.

Interregional Variant Factor Analysis of Hypertension Treatment Rate in COVID-19 (코로나19에서 고혈압 치료율의 지역 간 변이요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze regional variation factors of hypertension treatment rate in COVID-19 based on the analysis results based on ecological methodology. To this end, data suitable for ecological analysis were collected from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's regional health statistics, local government COVID-19 confirmed cases, National Health Insurance Corporation, Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service's welfare statistics, and Korea Transport Institute's traffic access index. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS Statistics 23 for regional variation and related factors in hypertension treatment rate, and geographical weighted regression analysis was conducted using Arc GIS for regional variation factors. As a result of the study, the overall explanatory power of the calculated geo-weighted regression model was 27.6%, distributed from 23.1% to 33.4% by region. As factors affecting the treatment rate of hypertension, the higher the rate of basic living security medical benefits, diabetes treatment rate, and health institutions per 100,000 population, the higher the rate of hypertension treatment, the lower the number of COVID-19 confirmed patients, the lower the rate of physical activity, and the alcohol consumption. Percentage of alcohol consumption decreased due to COVID-19 pandemic. It was analyzed that the lower the ratio, the higher the treatment rate for hypertension. Based on these results, the analysis of regional variables in the treatment rate of hypertension in COVID-19 can be expected to be effective in managing the treatment rate of hypertension, and furthermore, it is expected to be used to establish community-centered health promotion policies.

  • Based on the number of employees and sales of tourism establishments in Chungnam ares for the period from 2009 to 2013, this study analyzes the regional growth characteristic of tourism industry using dynamic shift-share analysis. The data used for this analysis are obtained from "The Census on Basic Characteristic of Tourism Establishments". This study decomposes characteristics of Chungnam Area tourism industrial structure into three components: national growth effect, industrial mix effect and regional share effect. The results help to well understand the development and the competitive situation of Chungnam area tourism industry.

  • 지금까지 필기 변이를 완화하기 위한 다양한 비선형 정규화 방법들이 제안되었으며 실제 인식 시스템에서 상당한 인식률 개선 효과를 나타내었다. 그러나, 필기 한글 인식에 있어서는 필기 변이 외에도 문자간의 높은 유사도로 인해 높은 인식률을 얻는데 어려움을 겪고 있다. 한글과 같이 문자간 유사도가 높은 언어를 효과적으로 인식하기 위해서는 필기 변이를 흡수하는 것뿐 아니라, 유사 문자간의 차이를 정확히 찾아내어 그 차이점을 부각시키는 것이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 유사 문자간의 차이점을 부각시킬 수 있는 비선형 정규화 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 비선형 정규화 방법들이 영상의 지역적 복잡도를 균일화 함으로써 정규화를 수행했던 것에 반해, 제안하는 방법에서는 유사 문자쌍의 구분에 있어 지역적 공헌도에 기반하여 영상을 정규화한다. 즉, 유사 문자쌍 구분에 공헌도가 높은 지역은 확대하고 그렇지 않은 지역은 축소한다. 그 결과, 문자간에 서로 상이한 지역을 강조 함으로써 유사 문자쌍에 대한 구분력을 높인다. 실험 결과, 제안하는 방법으로 정규화된 영상에서는 유사 문자쌍의 차이점이 확대되었으며, 문자쌍의 구분 성능 또한 향상되었다.

A Study on Variation and Application of Metabolic Syndrome Prevalence using Geographically Weighted Regression (지리적 가중 회귀를 이용한 대사증후군 유병률의 지역별 변이에 관한 연구 및 적용 방안)

  • In this study, regional variations and factors associated with prevalence of metabolic syndrome were grasped using GWR (geographically weighted regression) and methodologies for the efficient management of metabolic syndrome were then set up to resolve health inequalities. Based on the National Health Screening Statistical Yearbook published by the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), community health survey (KCDC) and other governmental institutions, indicators of social structural and mediation factors related to the regional prevalence of metabolic syndrome were collected. First, the existence of indicators to measure variations in metabolic syndrome were confirmed with the collected data by calculating the EQ (extremal quotient) and CV (coefficient of variations). The GWR, which is able to take spatial variations into consideration, was then adopted to analyze the factors of regional variations in metabolic syndrome. The GWR analysis revealed that severity and management of the main causes need to be prioritized in accordance with the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. Consequently, the order of priority in management of regional prevalence of metabolic syndrome was established, and plans that can increase the effectiveness of management of metabolic syndrome were confirmed to be feasible.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze temporal and spatial variations of atopic dermatitis and to identify major factors. Data utilized in the study were collected by the Community Health Survey, KOSIS and so and on from 2009 to 2013. This study was analyzed using descriptive statistics and Geographically weighted regression model. As a result, regional diagnosis rate of atopic dermatitis was increased by 5 years, and difference related to geographic location was so large. The regional characteristics that contribute to the diagnosis of atopic dermatitis were as follows: older adults population ratio, ratio of basic living security received people, depression experience rate, high risk drinking rate, number of wastewater discharge business, number of tobacco retail business, number of fast food restaurant business. This study is meaningful in that it provided basic data on health policy direction and provided information on prioritization of health business in each region.

Identification of Polymorphisms in CAST Gene Associated with Economic Traits in Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae) (한우(Bos taurus coreanae)의 CAST 유전자 내 변이지역 탐색 및 경제형질과의 연관성 분석)

  • A number of studies have shown that the calpain system is important in normal skeletal muscle growth. An increased rate of skeletal muscle growth can result from a decreased rate of muscle protein degradation, and this is associated with a decrease in activity of the calpain system, due principally to a large increase in calpastatin (CAST) activity. The CAST gene, mapped to BTA 7, is considered a candidate gene for beef tenderness and muscle growth. The present study used comparative sequencing of five novel polymorphisms located within exon 20 and 22 of the bovine CAST gene in Hanwoo: exon20- 109737G/A, 109749T/C, 109823T/C, exon22- 116151G/A, intron- 109926G/A. The association of the CAST SNPs with economic traits was studied. The 109926G/A showed a significant effect only on the longissimus muscle area (LMA, p<0.05) in Hanwoo. 109926G/A with the genotype GG had a significantly higher effect on LMA (75.35) than the genotype AA (69.6, p<0.05). Also, the 116151G/A showed a significant effect only on weight at 18 months (W18, p<0.05). 116151G/A with the genotype GG had a significantly higher effect on W18 (428.54) than the genotype AA (408.87, p<0.05).

Effect of Sequence Variation in Mitochondrial DNA D-loop Region on Milk and Milk Fat Production in Holstein Cows (Holstein의 유량과 유지방 생산에 미치는 Mitochondrial DNA D-loop 영역의 염기 서열 변이 효과)

  • This study was performed to analyze the sequence variation in mtDNA D-loop and their effects on milk and milk fat production in Holstein cows. The analyzed sequences were compared with previously published sequences from other cattle breeds (GenBank J01394). PCR was performed to amplify a total of 964 bp between nucleotide 15758 and 383 within D-loop region of mtDNA using specific primers. Thirty five polymorphic sites by nucleotide substitution were found in mtDNA. The frequencies of positions at 106, 169, 16057, 16231 and 16255 nt with high levels of sequence polymorphism were 0.090, 0.555, 0.055, 0.090 and 0.050, respectively. The substitution effect at 169 nt was found significant on milk production, and substitution effect at 16118, 16139 and 16302 nt was highly significant (p<0.1) on milk fat production. Polymorphism of mtDNA sequence in D-loop region might be useful for the analysis of cytoplasmic genetic variation and associations with the other economically important traits and maternal lineage analysis in Holstein cows.
