The study aims at identifying catalogers' perception of competencies in cataloging. The study focuses on cataloging and classification knowledge, library systems, materials, metadata formats, authority control, foreign language, computer skills, and interdependence and personal skills. It discusses the gap between previous studies and catalogers' perceptions of competencies required for the job. It provides implications for cataloging education. It has values in that the study as an exploratory study urges continuous studies to identify how catalogers' perceptions are changed according to information environment. It will be a base to develop job descriptions for catalogers.

최근의 통계에 따르면 국내의 인터넷 인용율은 2000년도에 44.7%, 2001년도에 56.6%, 2002년도에는 55.2%로 아이슬랜드(60.8%), 스웨덴(57.3%)에 이어 세계에서 세번째로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인구 100명당 PC보급율 또한 미국(62.5대), 덴마크(57.68대)에 이어 한국(55.58대)이 세계3위를 기록해 명실상부한 정보화 선진국임이 입증되고 있다. 따라서 잘 발달된 infrastructure을 이용하는 기술개발은 초고속정보이용을 가능케하고 있다. 근래에 들어 인터넷을 기반으로 기본적인 활용인 문자, 음성 및 영상 전송 등의 데이터 전송뿐만 아니라, 근래에는 인터넷을 통한 remote control 및 monitoring system에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존의 증류공정은 DCS(Dispersion Control System)로써 공정상태(온도, 압력, 유량, 레벨, 순도등)를 Control room까지 선로를 통하여 신호전달이 이루어지고 있다. 따라서, 제한된 지역에서만 I/O(Input/output)이 이루어지고 있다. 이로 인해 안전감시시스템의 효율성이 떨어지고 있는 게 사실이다. 본 연구에서는 PC기반의 프로그램을 바탕으로 인터넷을 이용한 remote control 및 monitoring system을 개발함으로써 close Network에서 Open Network으로 발전시켰다. 여기서 local plant의 안전시스템 알고리즘은 그대로 Server system에 도입하였으며 사용자의 실정에 맞게 손쉽게 설정을 할 수 있도록 확장성을 높였다. 이는 PC기반의 시스템을 구축함으로써 가능하게 된 것이다. 또한, 웹 상에서의 무차별적 접근으로부터 보호하기 위하여 감시 대상의 성질에 따라 프로그램상에서 차별적 접근형식을 택할 수 있으며, control room의 indicator들과 controller를 프로그램상에 그대로 이식시킴으로써 감시자에게 충분한 정보제공 및 원격제어가 가능하도록 하고있다.

인터넷을 이용한 사이버 거래가 빠른 속도로 증가함으로써 기업에게 있어 인터넷 쇼핑몰 구축은 더 이상 선택사항이 아닌 필수 사항이 되었다. 하지만 현재 사이버 거래 수준은 전통적 상거래 수준에 못 미칠뿐더러 거래 항목에 있어서도 매우 제한적인 것이 사실이다. 앞으로 사이버 거래는 계속적으로 증가하리라 전망되지만 제품의 특성 혹은 고객의 기호에 따라 전통적 상거래도 그 영역을 차지하며 함께 양립하여 발전할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존의 상거래 시스템에 사이버 거래기능을 추가하는 모델을 제시한다. 먼저 지리적으로 멀리 떨어져 있는 유통망의 정보화를 위하여 인터넷 기술을 이용하고 공급체인(Supply Chain) 전체에 걸친 동기화를 위해 TOC(Theory of Constraint)의 DBR(Drum-Buffer-Rope) 스케줄링을 응용한다. 모든 생산 및 유통의 흐름 속도가 최종 분배 센타에 접수되는 고객의 요구에 따라 이루어지게 함으로써 공급체인 전체에 걸친 동기화를 이룰 수 있고 지속적인 버퍼 관리를 통하여서 재고의 절감은 물론 미출고의 발생도 최소화할 수 있다. 만약 분배 센타에 재고부족 현상이 일어날 경우에는 공급체인 상의 능력제약자원(Capacity Constraint Resource . CCR)을 찾아 개선 활동을 수행하며 공급체인의 흐름 속도를 능력제약자원에 맞추어 조절한다. 분배 센타에서 대리점 혹은 사이버 고객으로의 배송은 부분적 분할납품 Partial Transshipment : PT) 전략을 적용한다. 즉 각 분배 센타가 관리하는 수요지 중 인접한 지역을 부분적 분할납품 전략 적용 수요지로 선택하고 사이버 거래를 통해 생성된 물류가 부분적 분할납품 전략 적용 수요지에 분배되게 함으로써 각 분배 센타의 재고 완충역할을 수행하게 한다. 이에 따라 안전 재고 및 역 배송을 최소화 할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 미 출고로 인한 손실을 최소화하며 고객의 서비스를 일정하게 유지시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

UN has decided to observe the year 1999 as the International Year of Older Persons (IYOP). Since that year, older persons should have equal access to information in order to function effectively in an information society for all. Public library should be a important access point for older persons, and above all, be a leading ole to bridge digital devide in the regional community. There are, however, few policies or guidelines for public library services to older persons in Korea. This is a time fur developing these ones at the national level. In this study, the draft for public library services to older persons is suggested.

Today is the Information age which Internet service acts a most important Information Source. So the Power Line Communication has been achieved to offer Internet service for Last-Mile area. And Research is achieved to frequence range from 30MHz to 80MHz for High-speed communication service. But, Power Line is not suitable for communication, So, electric wave is generated from flow of communication information. And the electric wave is interfered with Wireless Communication Service using the same frequence range. In this paper, a Notch Filter for reduce of interference between Power Line Communication and Wireless Communication Service is proposed. The proposed emulator is developed using TMS320C6416T DSP board of Texas Instruments.

Home Networking is the last connection point for global information and telecommunication infrastructure establishment. Information infrastructure has been constructed to matured extent so far, and then the enhancement of data transferring performance and high speed capacity in houses tame to the problem to solve as the last communicating area. In addition, to hold such communicating rapacity in houses, the customer premises technology is important as the framework. In this paper, introducing various home networking technologies, prospect of premise technology is reviewed.

While South Korea's wire and witless communications attain a world-wide level in the latest information-oriented society, North Korea's communications infra get fared with underdeveloped situation even not to meet a basic telephone demand as the 70's in South korea. The exchange and cooperation between the Sout h and North' korea's in the formation & telecommunication field implies the important point that makes ready for the reunification of North and South as the core of the exchange and cooperation in an economic and society, other field. Therefore a communications satellite as the infrastructure for the network construction preparing the reunification can be the most suitable plan for the communication infrastructure in korea's area be cause it is easy to build a network and gets an advantage to service all area of south anti north korea at a n/time.

In this paper, we calculated a 3 steps and 8 steps dynamic Notch Filter to consider the bandwidth of interference signals based on ETSI standard for reduce of interference between Power Line Communication and Wireless Communication Service. And we applied a Notch Filter and verified the application performance from Spectrum and BER.

Grid is a new Information Technology (IT) concept of "super Internet" for high-performance computing: worldwide collections of high-end resources - such as supercomputers, storage, advanced instruments and immerse environments. The Grid is expected to bring together geographically and organizationally dispersed computational resources, such as CPUs, storage systems, communication systems, real-time data sources and instruments, and human collaborators. The term "the Grid" was coined in the mid l990s to denote a proposed distributed computing infrastructure for advanced science and engineering. The term computational Grids refers to infrastructures aimed at allowing users to access and/or aggregate potentially large numbers of powerful and sophisticated resources. More formally, Grids are defined as infrastructure allowing flexible, secure, and coordinated resource sharing among dynamic collections of individuals, institutions and resources referred to as virtual Organizations. GRID is an emerging IT as a kind of next generation Internet technology which will fit very well with Agrometeorological services in the future. I believe that it would contribute to the resource sharing in AgroMeteorology by providing super computing power, virtual storage, and efficient data exchanges, especially for developing countries that are suffering from the lack of resources for their agmet services at national level. Thus, the establishment of CAgM-GRID based on existing RAMINSII is proposed as a part of FWIS of WMO.part of FWIS of WMO.
