To examine the current states of community survey performance with its contents and methods, a questionnaire survey was made for 92 public libraries in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon area. 47 libraries(70%) have conducted community survey during last 5 years. The frequency has increased since 2001. Considering the content item as separate entity, the average is 1.7 times per library. The main purpose of the survey was to understand the resident's need and a questionnaire survey method was applied dominantly. Problems involved with the lack of budget, time, and the librarian's ability are identified as obstacles. Based on the analysis, recommendations such as acknowledgement, administrations and financial support, establishment of standards, education and train information are suggested to promote the community survey.

본 프로젝트는 1993년 6월부터 9월까지 태국의 International Community Maternal and Child Health Nursing Training Program에서 이루어진 것으로 17개국 참석자 중 8개국 참가자들이 태국의 권케지역(태국 북동부)중 한 농촌지역을 택해 1개월간의 가정방문과 Group Work을 통해 지역사회 진단후 진단내용을 근거로 사업계획을 시행한 것이다. 조사지역 -Ban Nang Loob Village-은 우리나라의 일차보건의료를 수행하는 가장 말단지역인 이(里)에 해당하며, 이 중 5세 미만의 영유아가 있는 어머니들을 조사대상으로 하였다. 조사가구는 75가구였으며, 자료수집도구는 일반적인 특성, 환경상태, 지역사회 조직, 모자보건에 대한 지식, 태도, 실천과 관련된 내용으로 총 52개 문항이었다. 자료수집은 면접과 관찰을 통해 이루어졌으며 면접은 통역을 위해 태국 권켄대학의 간호대학 교수들과 함께 시행하였다. 본인이 참석한 그룹에서는 모자보건사업 중 모성건강에 관한 조사만 이루어졌으므로 이 지면에 소개된 프로젝트는 모성건강문제에 국한된다. 본 조사에서는 3가지 모성 건강과 관련된 문제가 나타났는데 이를 문제의 정도, 심각성, 예방가능성, 지역사회의 관심정도로 점수화하여 총계를 낸 후, 가장 커다란 문제점으로 '모성의 임신과 산욕기 동안의 합병증에 대한 지식부족'이 제기되어 이를 기초로 Master Plan, Operational Plan, Time Frame, Budget이 제시되었다. 본 프로젝트에서 제시된 사업계획은 담당지역의 Health Center, 권켄 간호대학, 지역사회 주민조직의 협조로 지역주민의 모자보건사업 활성화를 위해 실제로 시행될 계획이다.

This study intended to look at the Library Living Lab to solve community problems. To this end, this study investigated cases outside of the country and investigated various aspects of Living Lab's application to solving community problems. In addition, a survey was conducted on residents of Chungju to find areas where libraries can contribute to solving problems in the community and investigate the need. As a result, residents generally responded that "Library Living Lab," in which libraries participate in living lab activities in various fields, is needed to solve problems in the community. It shows that the range of services and activities that the library can provide can be expanded to the community and can be an innovative measure for library services that can solve almost all problems in the community through the Library Living Lab.

사회경제구조의 변화에 따라 여성의 사회참여가 크게 증가되는 추세이다. 가정주부의 취업여부에 따른 식생활 양상을 파악하기 위해 2001 국민건강ㆍ영양조사-영양조사부문의 결과를 심층 분석하였다. 2001 국민건강ㆍ영양조사는 2001년 11월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 전국 200개 지역에서 약 4,000가구, 14,000명을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 본 연구에서는 전업주부가정의 3,482명과 취업주부가정의 2,731명의 가족에 대한 식품 및 영양소 섭취량 자료가 분석에 활용되었다.(중략)

This study is to explore how the stakeholder views the community needs in a different way in the local district of Korea. The researchers delivered the 3 independent questionnaires to the three types of the community people who are residents, social service providers, governmental officials in charge of local social services. An in-depth analysis was performed to identify the different perspectives of the stakeholder toward the community needs on the basis of the combined approach with the order ranking method and two independent sample T and Z tests. As the result, the three noticeable findings were discovered as follows: First, while the social service providers reported the community needs at the most serious level, the residents expressed the community needs at the least serious level. Second, the stakeholder showed more diverse opinions for the needs of the service activities than the community problem. Third, there was a difference among the stakeholder in the degree of consensus according to the two different analysis methods. The researchers discussed the implication of the major findings in relation to the community needs assessment, and suggested the practical recommendations to improve the activities of the community needs assessment for the community welfare planning in Korea.
