A Study of the Effect on the Level of Knowledge Management for Information Sharing and Knowledge Exchange in Information Center (정보공유와 지식교류 향상을 위한 정보센터의 지식관리 수준에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • Information center represents an important source which seems very well suited for knowledge management investigation. Information center is knowledge intensive and the use of advanced technology may transform the knowledge of business processes for delivering an unique capabilities in an organization. To exam knowledge management, organization culture, importance of knowledge, and support of information technology were identified as potential predictors of knowledge management support in information center. Three hypotheses have been tested with 43 database management specialist surveys. This study presents that the level of information sharing and knowledge exchange is significantly influenced by the extent support of information technology.

  • As the world is rapidly changing into a knowledge-based information society, there is surprisingly increasing a great deal of knowledge. For this reason, various information systems have been constructed and operated to manage efficiently toward educational information resources. However, many different code systems are generally used for the lack of a standard management system. These different code systems have become significant factors hindering the efficiency of information co-ownership and practicability between each system. In this study, the author designed the Standard Data Code Management System and explored an efficient management program toward educational information resources.

  • National Knowledge and Information Resources of KADO(Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion) were distributed to the several data centers. The metadata for the resources was the conceptual level recommended standard. It was not for the integration, but the retrieval. So it is not easy to integrate to the central metadata DB or connect metadata among the data centers. In this paper, we analysed the metadata of the several data centers and provided the integrated standard model for the central metadata DB.

  • 우리 경제가 작금의 IMF 구제 금융체제를 조기에 극복하고, 21세기 선진국 경제체제로의 도약을 위해서는 글로벌 환경변화에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 산업의 국제경쟁력 제고가 절실하며, 특히 산업파급 효과가 크고 부가가치의 실현가능성이 높은 정보통신 산업 분야에서의 기술적/사업적 경쟁우위의 확보가 중요하다고 하겠다. 또한 선진국을 중심으로 전개되고 있는 지식기반 경제의 확립을 통한 지속적인 발전 및 세계적인 확산, 지식자원을 기반으로 한 국가 및 개별기업의 경쟁력 제고, 개인·산업·국가 수준의 네트워크 구축을 위한 제휴전략의 확대 등과 같은 새로운 페러다임의 형성에 효율적으로 대처하기 위해서는 제조업을 중심으로 한 대기업-중소기업이란 이분법적 구조에 따른 보유수준위주의 경쟁자원의 개념을 뛰어넘는 새로운 개념으로서, 벤처기업의 육성 및 지식자원의 ‘창출-변환-확산’을 통한 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있는 효율적인 방안의 마련이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구원에서는 정보통신 기술 집약형 중소기업의 지식자원 확충을 통한 경쟁력 제고를 위한 방안 마련의 일환으로 전문 인력의 투입(지식창출), 전문 인력의 관리/유지시스템(지식변환), 전문인력 양성제도/정책(지식자원 확산인프라)의 3 측면에서 문제점과 개선점에 대한 분석, 및 효율적 정책방안을 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to make out a draft for the standard classification of the National Knowledge and Information Resources. As the result of the Study the standard classification system of the national knowledge and information resources, named "Knowledge Classification 'KC' is suggested. KC consists of 3 classification systems classification by subject, type of resources and type of media. The classification by subject has 12 main classes, and each main class has divisions. Main classes consist each of major discipline or group of related disciplines. The type of resources is classified by 10 types of content, likewise numbered 0-9, and the media of knowledge are classified by 8 types. likewise 0-7. In the Practice the notation always consists of 2 characters and 2 digits. The first character designate main class and the second character designate division. The first number designate the type of resources and the second number designate the type of media.

  • This study developed a user experience factors for the evaluation of knowledge and information resource system from the user experience perspectives, which is emerging as a new analysis standard in the field of information media and information service research. Based on the analysis criteria selected through literature analysis, 'system perception factor' and 'user experience factor' were derived as factors influencing the use of information systems through an experimental study based on the user experience sampling method. As a result, the user experience factors of final knowledge and information resource system includes nine user experience factors, 55 detailed user experience factors, and 138 system perception factors. This study is significant in that the abstract concept 'user experience' was derived and presented as a practical, concrete, measurable factor through experiments. The derived user experience factors should serve as a basis for measuring user experience perceived by users of the knowledge and information resource system.

  • 한국데이터베이스진흥센터는‘지식정보자원관리사업’을 통해 구축된 지식정보 DB의 품질을 점검해 보기 위해, 매월 1종의 DB를 선정해 품질을 평가하고, 그 결과를 2005년도‘DB 서비스 평가’기획 시리즈로 연재한다. 특히 이번 기획 평가는 사용자 관점에서 DB품질을 조명해 보는 만큼, 지식정보 DB의 활용도 극대화를 위한 실천적 대안 마련에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

  • A lot of accumulated data of many quantity exist within a institution or an organization, but most data is remained in form of standardization as each institution or organization. There are difficulty in exchange and share of information. New concept of knowledge information resource management to overcome this disadvantage was introduced, and the digitization of knowledge information resources to share and manage accumulated data is been doing. Specially, in science technic or education scholarship it, the tendency that importing XML to process necessary data to exchange and share of knowledge information resources structurally, and limitation of back for search and indexing or reusability is happened according as expression of great many mathematics used inside electron document of these sphere is processed to nonstructural data of image or text and so on. There is interest converged in processing of mathematics that use MathML to overcome this, and we require the solution to be able to process MathML easily and efficiently on structural document. In this paper, designed and implemented of XML document editing system which easy structural process of electronic document for knowledge information resources, and create and express MathML easily on structural document without expert knowledge about MathML.

  • In the knowledge society the main resource is knowledge, and the role of library to manage knowledge and information is very important. Therefore it is necessary to knowledge and information management that provides on demand service to user. The purpose of this research is to design model for web-based help-desk knowledge management system. This study used Qualitative methods as interviews and surveys through BBS and e-mail on information service in the university libraries. Here the investigated component factors are followings Q/A service user's education service to use the library, user's online reference service, e-mail service, FAQ service electronic service(BBS), lecture and research service for faculty, my library, SDI service, and open data service. This study was financially supported by Chonnam National University in the program, Post-Doc. 2002.
