  • The international community reached an implicit consensus that knowledge management will be the core of our civilization in the next millenium. This dissertation is to view the knowledge management from the point of information science rather than from the standpoint of the business management, which has been the trends of our academic circle so far. The underlying reason is simple, knowledge is the center of the knowledge management and other factors like humans, organization and culture are merely peripheral elements required to apply knowledge in a more appropriate and efficient manner. This paper looks at knowledge-sharing system as the heart of knowledge management emphasizing significance of the procedures such as validation and valuation and knowledge management processes. Adding to this, I dare to say the term 'Information technology Infrastructure' should be changed into'Information Infrastructure' since knowledge itself and how to express them play a more important role in knowledge management than the information technology does.

Impact of Success Factors of Knowledge Management on Management Performance in Agribusiness Cluster (지식경영성공요인이 농산업클러스터 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향 -순창장류산업 클러스터를 중심으로-)

  • In the Knowledge-based economy, it is inevitable for companies to implement knowledge management(KM in short) to improve management performance. In order to better understand the KM, it is necessary to examine the relationship between success factors of KM and KM performance in agribusiness sector. This study empirically analyzes the impact of success factors of Knowledge Management on companies' management performance in agribusiness cluster. From the survey data of 43 companies located in Sunchang fermented soybean products Industrial cluster, the study finds that four factors- learning culture, network, knowledge sharing and knowledge creating- influence management performance in a positive way. It also examines whether Industrial cluster strategy functions as a moderator between KM success factors and companies' performance. Furthermore, this study concludes that Sunchang fermented soybean Industrial cluster has not reached to the final stage of KM and suggests elements for further improvements.

  • The college and university is a knowledge-centered organization, and 'knowledge' is the important strategic resource. Although this organization composed entirely of the knowledge worker that is able to use the knowledge in the most efficient and effective method, our university is not enough to manage the knowledge as strategic advantage. So, we need to implement knowledge management system under knowledge community centered in students, faculty and staff. The well-designed knowledge community can produce a new value and profit that can develope the university organization. We used to the portal technology defined as a personalized, single point of access through a web browser to various information located inside and outside of an university Knowledge portal supporting the activities of knowledge community will improve the knowledge transfer in student's learning activity, the knowledge creation in faulty's research activity, the knowledge sharing amount the various communities, and the accumulation of a process knowledge in operation and management. Eventually, a redesigned knowledge portal-based system will create a new value of university.

  • 한 개인의 연구정신과 학문적 편력을 드러내보이는 '개인문고'는 책과 지식의 진정한 소유형태가 사유가 아니라 공유에 있다는 인식을 모범적으로 시사한다는 점에서 보다 더 활성화되고 장려돼야 한다. 그러나, 도서관들의 개인문고 유치를 위한 노력은 아직까지는 대체로 기증자를 '기다리는' 수준에 머물고 있다는 지적이다.

  • 급변하는 도서관 내외의 정보 환경 변화에 따라 미래 도서관은 지식 수집과 정보 제공이라는 본연의 역할을 더욱 강화하는 방향으로 나아갈 것인지, 아니면 디지털 기술과 인터넷을 통한 정보 공유가 도서관 무용론으로 이어질 것인지 그 어느 때보다 커다란 도전에 직면해 있다 할 것이다. 기존의 도서관 장서가 전자책(e-book), 전자저널 등 디지털 매체로 대체되고 있으며, 디지털도서관 프로젝트에 의한 자료의 접근환경이 변화하는 상황에서 미래 도서관에서 장서의 변화를 조망하고 그 대응 전략을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • There are growing interests for knowledge-based information to build up competitiveness both in public and in private. Construction industry compared to other industries, shows strong knowledge usages in products and process. R&D investment over the construction industry has been decreased since economic crisis (IMF), so technology status of domestic construction industry has gap of 4.6 years with developed countries. Information infra also lowers in use of information and investment than other industries. In case of knowledge management, usage of information technology and vision establishment show high status but knowledge sharing and evaluation stay in low level. For the administration of knowledge-based information, there are needs of continuous R&D investments, educations for inspiring employees to knowledge share, systems for knowledge estimation and evaluation, and organizational culture.

  • The purpose of this study is to study the laws of storage and utilization in various perspectives in order to maximize the storage of knowledge and to use stored knowledge. In other words, it analyzes the relationship rules in five viewpoints of 'human and knowledge', 'human and goods', 'the law of exact intersection with humans', 'human architecture formation process', 'human and knowledge' This course studies how to maximize the relationship rules between knowledge storage and utilization through knowledge management, intuition, rapid decision-making, and understanding of various knowledge. In order to maximize the value of knowledge in the organization, the knowledge management system obtained in this way systematically organizes various information about the knowledge creation of the members and distributes it to all employees to use it for their work. As an information management infrastructure, To effectively manage the various knowledge and know-how accumulated in the organization and to share them with each other.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the mechanism of Acquisition of Customer Knowledge through Web Site at Global Electronic Commerce Times in Korea. The major findings of this paper is that the models of inter-business alliance network for EC based on contents, types of participating company, categories of business of participating company, modes of alliances, and concentrated industry or function are various and complex. Therefore all companies should know this result and reflect in their business strategy.
