Chronic Varus Instability of the Hallux Interphalangeal Joint in College Taekwondo Athelete - A Case Report - (대학 태권도 선수의 족무지 지간 관절의 만성 내반 불안정성 - 1례 보고-)

  • Forefoot injuries are common in runners or martial art athletes, but due to the anatomical stability, collateral ligament injury of the hallucal interphalangeal joint has been rarely reported. We report a college Taekwondo athlete with chronic varus instability of the hallucal interphalangeal joint due to chronic lateral collateral ligament rupture. The patient had been treated with lateral ligament reconstruction and achieved good clinical outcome.

Moment Equations for Long-Span Soil-Steel Box Culverts (장지간 지중강판 박스컬버트의 휨모멘트 식)

  • This paper studies the moment equations in the 2000 Canadian highway bridge code(CHBDC) for soil-steel box structures, which are applicable to the span less than 8m. Finite element analyses carried out for soil-steel box structures having spans of 3-12m using the deep corrugated steel plates under three construction stages; backfill up to the crown, backfill up to the cover depth, and live loading. The coefficients of moment equations are newly proposed based on the results of numerous finite element analyses considering various design variables, such as span length, soil depth, backfill conditions. The validity of the proposed coefficients in the moment equations of the 2000 CHBDC is investigated by the comparison with the existing coefficients and numerical results of finite element analyses. The comparisons show that the moments of the 2000 CHBDC give good predictions for the span less than 8m, but underestimate for the span greater than 8m, whereas the proposed moments give good estimates of numerical results for the spans of 3-12m.

Change of Bending Properties of 2×4 Larch Lumber According to Span Length in the Four Point Bending Test (4점 휨 시험에서 지간 거리에 따른 2×4 낙엽송 제재목의 휨 성능 변화)

  • This study was conducted to confirm an effect of span length on bending properties of larch dimensional lumber in the four point bending test. The size of specimen in this study was 38 (width) ${\times}$ 89 (depth) ${\times}$ 3,600 (length) $mm^3$, and average air-dry density and moisture content of the specimens was $543.5kg/m^3$ and 10.5%, respectively. Visually graded No. 1 dimensional lumbers of 248 were divided by two groups to compare modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE). One group was tested in the four point bending test with span length of 1,650 mm, and other was tested with span length of 3,000 mm. While MOE was not different according to span length in 5% significance level, MOR was different in accordance with span lengths and was in inverse proportion to change of span length. Fifth percentiles of MOR in span length of 1,650 and 3,000 mm were 28.65 and 25.70 MPa, respectively. It was confirmed that the difference between MORs in each case increased as normalized rank increased. This is because of size effect in Weibull weakest link failure theory. Therefore, KS F 2150, in which there is only regulation about span to depth ratio of 15 or more, is needed to be revised to contain a method considering size effect for MOR. From the method, various results of bending test with different size of lumber could be used to determine design value of lumber.

Resonance Phenomenon according to the relationship between Span Length of the Bridge and Effective Beating Interval of High-Speed Train (교량의 지간장과 고속전철하중 유효타격간격 사이의 관계에 따른 공진현상)

  • Resonance of the bridge can be occurred with the coincidence between a natural frequency of the bridge and a crossing frequency of moving loads which is determined from the speed and effective beating interval of the vehicle. In case of the railway bridge, the effective beating interval of the vehicle is fixed under the passage of specific trains. In the present study, resonance and cancellation of the bridge subjected to moving high-speed train are analyzed with the variations of span length. A steel-concrete composite railway bridge is idealized by the combinations of plate elements and space frame elements. High-speed train is idealized with moving constant forces and a 3-dimensional full modelling. From analyzing dynamic responses of D.M.F of vertical displacement, maximum vertical acceleration of the slab, and end rotation according to the variations of span length of the bridge, design criteria of span length of the bridge which satisfies dynamic safety is discussed.

Concrete Shear Strength of FRP Reinforced Concrete Beam (FRP 보강근을 사용한 콘크리트 보의 콘크리트 전단강도)

  • This study is to develop equations that consider the elastic modulus ratio of FRP bar and steel reinforcement, shear span to depth ratio, and flexural reinforcement ratio of FRP bar, to determine concrete shear strength of FRP reinforced concrete beams without shear reinforcement. As experimental parameters, 2 types of FRP bar, 3 types of shear span to depth ratio, and 3 types of flexural reinforcement were used. Experimental results for two of shear span to depth ratio were quoted from previous study to evaluate effect of shear span to depth ratio in more detail. Shear strength correction factors needed for evaluating concrete shear strength were proposed from regression analysis using above experimental results. Equations suggested from this study and other codes were examined and compared with 31 experimental results available in the literature. From this comparison, it could be known that the equation suggested from this study gives the most approaching result to experimental results.

  • 이 연구는 1988년 5월 초순부터 6월 중순까지 일본 북해도 대학 토마코마이 연습림에서 산림시업에 의한 산림구조가 다른 두 지역에서 산림환경구조와 번식조류군집과의 관계를 밝히기 위하여 이루어졌다. 조사지간의 차이를 밝히기 위한 정량적인 서식지분석과 조류군집을 평가하기 위한 세력권 도시법과 길드분석을 하였다. 우점수종은 신갈나무, 일본목련, 산벚나무, 고로쇠나무 등이었다. 임층의 피도는 상중층은 비간벌지가, 하층은 간벌지가 높았다. 조사지에서 34종의 조류가 관찰되었고 21종이 세력권을 확보하였다. 황금새, 산솔새, 박새, 섬참새, 동고비, 쇠박새가 우점종이었다. 조사지간에 번식조류의 종수는 동일하였으나 조류군집구성은 달랐다. 수동영소길드 조류 종수와 쌍수는 비간벌지에 많았으나, 지면영소길드 조류는 간벌지에서 많았다. 그리구 수관층영소길드는 조사지간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 적정한 간벌과 같은 산림시업은 모든 산림조류에 부적당한 것이 아니고 관목, 지면 영소길드와 나무와 관목, 지면채이길드에 유리한 것으로 생각되었다. 또 산림시업이 수동과 수관영소길드에 큰 영향을 미치지 않았다.

The Shear-Properties of Reinforced Concrete Beams without Web Reinforcement (복부보강이 없는 철근콘크리트보의 전단특성)

  • 본 논문은 전단철근을 갖지 않는 비교적 짧은 지간의 철근콘크리트 보에서 전단특성을 규명하고 균열전단강도와 극한전단강도를 예측하기 위한 것으로 총30개의 보를 4 series로 나누어 실험을 수행하였다. 실험의 변수는 콘크리트의 강도, 전단지간-유효높이의 비, 인장철근량등이며, 실험과정을 통해 파괴형상, 처짐, 전단강도등을 측정하였다. 실험결과로부터 콘크리트의 강도가 커지고 철근량이 많아질수록, 그리고 전단지간이 짧아질수록 철근콘크리트 보의 균열 및 극한전단강도가 증가됨을 밝혔다. 또한, 실험성과를 회귀분석하여 균열전단강도와 극한전단강도 추정식을 제안하였다. 제안된 추정식에 의한 계산값과 실험성과를 비교 검토하여 그 상관성을 확인하였다.

Morton's Neuroma (Interdigital Neuritis) (모턴씨 신경종(족지간 신경염))

  • Morton's neuroma is a common cause of forefoot pain, and is also known to be a entrapment neuropathy rather than a true tumor. Precise physical examination is necessary to differentiate from other diagnoses of similar symptoms. If proper conservative treatment modalities fail for this neuritis, neurectomy of interdigital nerve is generally performed, with the results of up to 80% of patient's satisfaction. However the failure rate of 2% to 35% should be improved by proper diagnosis and careful surgery.

  • 본 연구에서는 각 수요지간의 시간이 확률적으로 주어지는 경우의 TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem)를 다루고자 한다. 현실적으로, 도심의 교통 체증 등으로 인해서 각 지점간의 걸리는 시간은 시간대별로 요일별로 심한 변화를 일으키기 마련이다. 그러나, 현재까지의 연구 결과는 수요지간의 경과시간이 확정적으로 주어지는 경우가 대부분으로, 도심물류 등에서 나타나는 현실적인 문제를 해결하는데는 많은 한계가 있다 본 연구에서는 문제의 해법으로 강화학습기법의 하나인 Q학습(Q-Learning)과 Neural Network를 활용한 효율적인 알고리즘을 제시한다.
