Students' intuition in formal proof should be expressed as symbols according to the deductive process. The symbol will play a role of the mediation between the intuition and the formal proof. This study examined the evolution process of intuition mediated by the symbol in geometry proof. According to the results first, symbol took the great roles when students had the non-formed intuition for the proposition. The signification of symbols could explain even the proof process of the proposition with the non-expectable intuition. And when students proved it by symbols, not by figure nor words, they could evolute the conclusive intuition about the proposition.
With the recent emphasis on evidence-based research and practice, the field of music therapy has called for rigorous reviews of the scientific data and for therapeutic rationales for research procedures. The purpose of this study was to review studies that used a rhythm task as a therapy intervention in terms of whether they provided a rationale for the components related to the intervention. The components included activity rationale, music rationale, intervention validity, intervention format (individual or group), intervention development (contour), duration, and intervention provider. A total of 41 studies were selected: 22 studies were implemented by music therapists and 19 by professionals in other related fields. In terms of seven assessment categories, only 10 studies were found to report more than four items which are related to a rationale of interventions. The 10 studies identified were further examined to determine if their intervention rationale differed depending on whether the study included a researcher-formulated intervention or an existing music therapy protocol. Of the 10 studies, six used a researcher-formulated rhythm intervention, and four used an existing music therapy protocol. Those studies that used an existing music therapy protocol also provided a clear rationale for music selection, whereas those that used a researcher-formulated rhythm task tended to provide an activity rationale. The results of this study suggest that researchers need to be clearer about their interventions and provide an evidence-based rationale for why and how they use a rhythm task.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of smart phone video educational program on disease-related knowledge and anxiety in patients with coronary artery disease. A quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pre-post test design. A smart phone video educational program was developed and offered to the experimental group. Participants were drawn from a inpatient ward. Twenty eight were selected for the experimental group while 30 were assigned to a control group. The results of this study were as followed: Disease-related knowledge in the experimental group showed a significant increase after smart phone video education compared with the control group. But the score of anxiety did not show a significant difference between experimental and control group. Thus, it is necessary to develop interventions considering both educational and psychological factors at the same time for the patients with coronary artery disease.

The aim of this study was to provide basic data that could give a positive effect for both new dental hygienists and dental institutions by identifying the impact of one the job training on the organizational socialization, targeting 162 new dental hygienists who currently worked in dental clinic. The data were analyzed using the chi-squire, independent-samples t-test, hierarchical regression analysis. It was shown that the characteristics and contents of a duration of inservice training for new dental hygienists, difficulty, satisfaction, and details of on-the-job training affected organizational socialization by 26.1%. The factor that had the greatest impact on the organizational socialization was dental hygiene service training, followed by guidance of hospital service regulations. This study was significant in that it applied the concept of organizational socialization to the dental hygienists. The future study on the more effective and systematic training program will be needed to help new dental hygienists be socialized more effectively in the new organization.

Objectives: This study was performed to assess the effects of nutrition support for the elderly in rural communities. Methods: The data for this study were obtained from 148 aged over 65 years in G district(70 intervention group and 78 control group). General characteristics, physical health status, food intake, dietary habits, knowledge of nutrition and nutrition risk factors of the subjects were examined by individual interview. The participants were divided into two groups through the first questionnaire of nutrition: nutritional intervention group(nutritional intervention and education of nutrition) and control group(education of nutrition alone). Results: Nutritional intervention group showed significant increase of energy intake to 87.4% from 71.0% and of most nutrients except vitamin A and niacin after intervention. After nutritional intervention program, depression index was significantly decreased and changes of food habits, self-efficacy and conviction indices were significantly increased. Conclusions: This study showed that the nutritional intervention serving foods for short-term intervention period was very effective in improving the nutritional status. In addition, it suggested that it was not enough for nutritional improvement of the elderly to provide public health education or counseling alone, therefore, for achieving its goals, it should be needed proper nutritional supply to them.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group occupational therapy including education regarding depression, anxiety, and activity participation in people with dementia. Methods : Nineteen people with dementia were randomly assigned to experimental(n=10) and control group(n=9). The participants in experimental group conducted occupational therapy including education, whereas the control group occupational therapy only. Pre- and post- assessments were applied using Korean form of Geriatric Depression Scale(K-GDS), Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAM-A), State Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI-X-1), and Korean Activity Card Sort (K-ACS). Results : When comparing the differences between pre- and post- of the intervention, the depression and anxiety of occupational therapy group including the educational program decreased statistically(p<.05). Conclusion : This study has shown that occupational therapy including education has significant effects on reducing depression and anxiety in people with dementia. In the future, it will be necessary to develop an intervention program to strengthen the psychological and emotional aspects of people with dementia, and various studies in the field of occupational therapy focusing on care giver education should be conducted.
This study is to identify different patterns of childhood's smart media literacy and to predict factors relating to smart media literacy behaviors. Also, the purpose of the present study is to examine parents' and teachers' mediation of childhood's smart media literacy. The data were collected from 400 elementary students in Korea and we presented two patterns of smart media literacy : perception literacy, critical literacy. The results showed positive relationships between perception literacy and parental active and passive mediation. And a teacher's active and passive mediation was positively associated with children's perception literacy. In addition, the results of this study showed that parental active and passive mediation also affected the critical literacy. It was found that there were significant differences in sociological characteristics like in gender, school year, spending time, a double income family on smart media literacy. This suggests that a parent's active and passive mediation may lead to activate children's smart media use.
The purpose of this study were to analyze effects of VR-based intervention on daily living skills and class attitudes of students with intellectual disabilities. To do this, 30 students with intellectual disabilities in the second and third grades of middle school were selected for this study and placed three group. A group took part in a class using only VR program, B group participated in experience activities program, and C group got in the intervention program that combine VR program and experience activities on daily living skills. Intervention programs were conducted 4 times in a week for 4 weeks from the fourth week of July to the third week of August and a class time of each class was 50 minutes. Evaluations were carried out in pre- and post-test. The Evaluation data were analyzed by One-way ANOVA and scheffe'. In Result of study, daily living skills of C group was improved more higher than other groups and class attitudes of C group was improved more higher than group B. These results showed that the intervention combining VR program and direct experience activities was more effective than the other methods.

This study is a literature analysis study that analyzed program intervention research papers to understand the characteristics of lifestyle intervention programs to prevent cardiovascular disease. The final 18 papers were selected by applying search terms such as "cardio-cerebrovascular disease" and "intervention" through electronic databases such as Pubmed. As for the criteria for selecting program participants in the study, physiological criteria were mainly used, and there were many programs that mediated physical activity and eating habits. Education was the most widely used intervention type, and there were many studies that combined and applied several interventions. During the intervention period, long-term interventions averaged more than 22 weeks, and biophysical indicators were most frequently used as effect indicators for measuring the intervention effect. Through this study, it is suggested that environmental and social support is needed to develop intervention programs considering the interrelationship of various lifestyle habits and maintain healthy lifestyle habits.
The purpose of this study was to review the literature on music intervention research with North Korean defectors, focusing on posttraumatic growth. Eleven research papers were searched and selected to examine their general characteristics, intervention content, and therapeutic basis of music interventions for North Korean defectors. The investigated variables were related to posttraumatic growth-related aspects in changes in individuals, intervention goals, measurement tools, outcomes depending on developmental stages of the participants. The analysis showed that music provided a safe and familiar environment, which facilitated voluntary participation. Through music interventions, it was confirmed that individuals were able to discover their inner strength, leading to improved adaptability in daily life; positive changes were experienced in the social and relational aspects; and confidence in the future was strengthened. By reviewing music interventions with North Korean defectors, this study can present implications for music interventions with people who have experienced trauma and require assistance in fostering posttraumatic growth.
