The Effect of Employee and Creditor Corporate Governance on Earning Management (종업원 및 채권자 기업지배구조가 이익조정에 미치는 영향)

  • In recent years, the definition of corporate governance is a stakeholder-oriented corporate governance that can meet the needs of sustainability management and corporate social responsibility. The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the effect of corporate governance on employees and creditors corporate governance on earnings management by using regression analysis. The results show that the corporate governance of employees and creditors plays a role in reducing the simultaneous profit management of discretionary accruals, which is the accrual of asset impairment loss, which is the accrual of negative I could confirm. The results of the empirical analysis show that stakeholder-centered corporate governance can play a role in controlling managers' behavior and market. In addition, the results of this study suggest that the responsibility of stakeholders as corporate governance is important for sustainable management of modern corporations where corporate social responsibility is important.

Self-tuning of Operator Probabilities in Genetic Algorithms (유전자 알고리즘에서 연산자 확률 자율조정)

  • Adaptation of operator probabilities is one of the most important and promising issues in evolutionary computation areas. This is because the setting of appropriate probabilities is not only very tedious and difficult but very important to the performance improvement of genetic algorithms. Many researchers have introduced their algorithms for setting or adapting operator probabilities. Experimental results in most previous works, however, have not been satisfiable. Moreover, Tuson have insisted that “the adaptation is not necessarily a good thing” in his papers[$^1$$^2$]. In this paper, we propose a self-tuning scheme for adapting operator probabilities in genetic algorithms. Our scheme was extensively tested on four function optimization problems and one combinational problem; and compared to simple genetic algorithms with constant probabilities and adaptive genetic algorithm proposed by Srinivas et al[$^3$]. Experimental results showed that our scheme was superior to the others. Our scheme compared with previous works has three advantages: less computational efforts, co-evolution without additional operations for evolution of probabilities, and no need of additional parameters.

A Study on the Individual Recognition with Skull Image Composition (두개골 영상합성에 의한 개인감정시스템 연구-II)

  • In this paper, a new superimposition scheme using a computer vision system was proposed with 7 pairs of skull and ante-mortem photographs, which were already identified through other tests and DNA fingerprints at the Korea National Institute of Scientific Investigation. At this computer vision system, an unidentified skull was caught by video-camcoder with the MPEG and a ante-mortem photograph was scanned by scanner. These two images were processed and superimposed using pixel processing. Recognition of the individual identification by anatomical references was performed on the two superimposed images. This image processing techniques for the superimposition of skull and ante-morterm photographs simplify used the previous approach taking skull photographs and developing it to the same size as the ante-mortem Photographs. This system using various image Processing techniques on computer screen, a more precise and time-saving superimposition technique could be able to be applied in the area of computer individual identification.

  • 콩은 중요한 식량 작물로 단백질, 기름 및 이차대사산물인 이소플라본을 다량으로 함유하고 있다. 이소플라본은 폴리페놀의 일종으로 일부 암을 예방하며 심혈관 질환을 완화하는 데에도 도움을 준다고 알려져 있다. 콩에 인위적으로 식물호르몬인 ABA를 처리할 때 이차대사산물인 kaempferol의 함량이 증가한다고 보고 되었다. 따라서 이 연구는 식물 생장조정제 처리가 콩잎의 이소플라본 함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구는 밀양 남부작물부 유리온실에서 수행되었으며, 콩(품종:선풍)은 와그너포트 1/2000에 1주 2본 파종하여 재배하였다. Ethephone(500, 1000, 2000 ppm)과 ABA(100, 200, 400 ppm)를 사용하였으며 각각 R2, R5, R7기에 처리하였다. 처리 후 잎을 5일 간격으로 3회 채취하여 이소플라본 6종과 쿠메스트롤의 함량을 분석하였다. 초고성능 액체 크로마토그래피(Acquity UPLC H-Class system, Waters)를 사용하여 분석하였다. 이소플라본 함량은 R5 단계에서 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, R2 및 R7 단계에서는 무처리와 유사한 수준을 보였다. ABA를 처리하였을 때 생장조정제 간의 차이가 에테폰보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 쿠메스트롤 함량은 처리시간에 따라 R7, R5, R2 순으로 높은 것으로 확인되었으며, 처리시간이 지날수록 함량이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 생장조정제 처리에 쿠메스트롤 함량은 ABA보다 에세폰 처리 시 더 높은 경향을 보였다.

Forecasting hierarchical time series for foodborne disease outbreaks (식중독 발생 건수에 대한 계층 시계열 예측)

  • In this paper, we investigate hierarchical time series forecasting that adhere to a hierarchical structure when deriving predicted values by analyzing segmented data as well as aggregated datasets. The occurrences of food poisoning by a specific pathogen are analyzed using zero-inflated Poisson regression models and negative binomial regression models. The occurrences of major, miscellaneous, and overall food poisoning are analyzed using Poisson regression models and negative binomial regression models. For hierarchical time series forecasting, the MinT estimation proposed by Wickramasuriya et al. (2019) is employed. Negative predicted values resulting from hierarchical adjustments are adjusted to zero, and weights are multiplied to the remaining lowest-level variables to satisfy the hierarchical structure. Empirical analysis revealed that there is little difference between hierarchical and non-hierarchical adjustments in predictions based on pathogens. However, hierarchical adjustments generally yield superior results for predictions concerning major, miscellaneous, and overall occurrences. Without hierarchical adjustment, instances may occur where the predicted frequencies of the lowest-level variables exceed that of major or miscellaneous occurrences. However, the proposed method enables the acquisition of predictions that adhere to the hierarchical structure.

Development of Sag and Tension Sensitivity Estimation Method for Configuration Control under PPWS Erection in a Suspension Bridge (현수교 PPWS 가설중 형상관리를 위한 PPWS 새그 및 장력민감도 산정법 개발)

  • Main cable of a suspension bridge is the important member which shows the overall structure integrity at bridge completion. Configuration of main cable is a free hanging state at cable erection completion and is different from that at bridge completion supporting the dead loads such as hanger, girder, and so on. Accordingly, the configuration control under cable erection is considerably significant because the configuration at cable erection completion has direct influence on that at bridge completion. That is performed by sag adjustments at center, side span and tension adjustments at anchor span. The former needs the sag sensitivity which represents the control quantity of strand length corresponding to that of sag. The latter requires the tension sensitivity which shows the change of strand tension according to that of strand temperature. In this study, the fundamental equations of cable were derived with the assumption of either catenary or parabola shape, the differential-related equations using chain rule on horizontal tension were drawn from those and finally the estimation methods of the sag / tension sensitivity were proposed from both those. The nonlinear numerical analysis flow charts of sag sensitivity based on the catenary equations were proposed and the sag sensitivities grounded on the differential-related equations were compared with the results using them for various parameters of sag change. Also, considering the combinations of sag change parameters, the calculation method of the final variation for the cable sag was suggested. For the real suspension bridge under construction with PPWS method, the sag/tension sensitivity were estimated considering the construction conditions like the change of PPWS length, PPWS temperature, bridge span, etc.. We hope that this study will be a systematic guideline for the configuration control under main cable erection and improved highly by field verification in the real bridge site.

A Study of Job Recognition for Record Manger using the IPA (IPA를 활용한 중앙행정부처 기록전문직 직무인식에 관한 연구)

  • The study aims at understanding records professions' job areas and conducting the Importance Performance Analysis. Under the perception which it is necessary to analyze records professions' job for securing their roles and identity, this study conducts a job analysis and categorizes records professions' job into 4 duties, 19 jobs and 78 job elements. The 4 duties includes records management, records office operation, records management infrastructure, and records information services. Furthermore, it researches jobs' importance and performance using the IPA. Accordign to the analysis, the jobs which rank at top of the importance and performance list are jobs concerning appraisal and disposal. The jobs which ranks at bottom are jobs related to services. In general the current 'one man records office system' is not appropriate to carry out all the records management business. In this context, it is necessary to lighten records profeesions' workload through the job adjustment in government institutions.

  • OC-SVM(One Class Support Vector Machine) avoids solving a full density estimation problem, and instead focuses on a simpler task, estimating quantiles of a data distribution, i.e. its support. OC-SVM seeks to estimate regions where most of data resides and represents the regions as a function of the support vectors, Although OC-SVM is powerful method for data description, it is difficult to incorporate human subjective importance into its estimation process, In order to integrate the importance of each point into the OC-SVM process, we propose a fuzzy version of OC-SVM. In FOC-SVM (Fuzzy One-Class Support Vector Machine), we do not equally treat data points and instead weight data points according to the importance measure of the corresponding objects. That is, we scale the kernel feature vector according to the importance measure of the object so that a kernel feature vector of a less important object should contribute less to the detection process of OC-SVM. We demonstrate the performance of our algorithm on several synthesized data sets, Experimental results showed the promising results.

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal camera placement using agent-based simulation. To derive importance of space and to cover the space efficiently, we accomplished an agent-based simulation based on classification of space and pattern analysis of moving people. We developed an agent-based camera placement method considering camera performance as well as space priority extracted from path finding algorithms. We demonstrate that the method not only determinates the optimal number of cameras, but also coordinates the position and orientation of the cameras with considering the installation costs. To validate the method, we compare simulation results with videos of real materials and show experimental results simulated in a specific space.

시민단체에서 바라본 에너지 상대개격 체계 조기개편의 필요성

  • 2003년 2월 14일 한국 사회는 중요한 사회적 합의를 이루어냈었다. 그해 1월 11일에 구성된 '경유차 환경위원회'에서 총 8차계의 회의를 거쳐 최근 급증하고 있는 경유 다목적차(RV), 운행중인 화물트럭, 버스 등 경유차로 인한 대기오염이 국민의 건강을 크게 위협하고 있어 더 이상 방치할 수 없는 문제임을 깊이 인식하고, 경유차로 인한 대기오염을 근원적으로 줄여나간다는 원칙아래, 경유 승용차 배출허용기준 조정방안을 포함해서 몇 가지의 대기오염 저감 대책을 수립, 추진한다는 것이었다. 그 대책을 요약하면 다음과 같다.
