Most traffic information that drivers receive while driving are stored in their short-term memory and disappear within a few seconds. Contemporary modeling approaches using a dummy variable can't fully explain this phenomenon. As such, this study proposes to use utility functions of real-time in-vehicle traffic safety information (IVTSI), analyzing its safety impacts based on empirical data from an on-site driving experiment at signalized intersection approach with a limited visibility. For this, a driving stability evaluation model is developed based on driver's driving speed choice, applying an ordered probit model. To estimate the specified utility functions, the model simultaneously accounts for various factors, such as traffic operation, geometry, road environment, and driver's characteristics. The results show three significant facts. First, a normal density function (exponential function) is appropriate to explain the utility of IVTSI proposed under study over time. Second, the IVTSI remains in driver's short-term memory for up to nearly 22 second after provision, decreasing over time. Three, IVTSI provision appears more important than the geometry factor but less than the traffic operation factor.

말모둠은 특성에 따라서 여러 성격을 나타내게 된다. 하지만 말모둠의 특성을 자동적으로 알아내는 방법은 간단하지 않다. 중요 단어를 가지고 있으면 말모둠에서 통계적으로 많은 부분에 적용시켜 말모둠의 특성을 파악할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 말모둠에서 나타나는 동사류 단어들의 빈도를 분석한다. 또한, 사람이 직접 중요도를 평가한 사전의 단어들과 말모둠에 나타나는 단어들을 비교해서 통계적 차이점을 알아보고, 그 차이점을 통해 앞으로 연구할 일에 대해서 토론한다. 간단한 실험을 통해 사람의 평가한 중요도 점수의 효용성도 알아본다.

본 연구에서는 감성공학적 분석 방법론을 고안하여 직물 디자인 분야에 적용하고 그 효용성을 규명하였다. 방법론을 개발하기 위한 기초자료로서 직물 디자인요소와 이와 관련된 감성어휘를 수집하고 직물디자인요소계층도를 구축하였다. 수립된 직물디자인요소계층도상의 디자인요소에 관한 상대적인 중요도를 조사하여 디자인 요소별 가중치를 산출하고, 특정 디자인에 대하여 총체적인 감성수준과 디자인 요소별 감성수준을 측정한다. 측정된 요소별 감성수준을 Analytic Hierarchy Process 기법으로 종합한 감성수준을 비교한 결과 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 이 분석 방법론은 사전정보와 기술요소정보를 유기적으로 결합한 기반이 될 수 있는 합리적, 과학적인 개발 방법론을 제시하였다는데 큰 의의를 갖는다.

최근 인공위성 영상자료의 해상도가 높아짐에 따라 영상을 통해 얻을 있는 정보의 양이 증가하고 있다. 영상의 식별력이 증가함으로써 영상에서 얻을 수 있는 정보량이 증가하지만 그와 함께 정보의 질이 향상되었다고 판단하기는 어렵기 때문에 지형과 영상의 정밀보정은 매우 중요하다 특히, 광학센서 기반의 인공위성 자료는 영상자료의 공간해상도 뿐만 아니라 촬영시기, 지형형태 둥 많은 내ㆍ외부 조건에 따른 특성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 특성은 표고가 높은 지형에서 더욱 크게 영향 받는다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Kompsat EOC 및 Spot-5 등 다양한 광학위성 센서에 대한 지형효과 특성을 위성의 기하정보 등록방법에 따라 분석함으로써 자료 이용의 효용성 제고에 기여하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 항만 전 항로의 위험도를 평가할 수 있는 새로운 해상교통안전평가모델을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여, 항만을 일정간격으로 나누어, 통항 선박의 분포를 바탕으로 구간별 위험도를 계산할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 본 모델의 효용성을 검증하기 위하여, 오사카항만 전 항로 위험도 평가를 실시하였다. 계산 결과에 따라, 오사카 항만 전 항로에 해당하는 위험도를 표시하고, 이를 이용하여 위험지도를 제시하였다. 위험 지도를 실시간 표시함으로써, 항만 내 항로 및 특정 구역의 위험도를 파악할 수 있었다. 이는 VTS 관제 센터와 같은 항만 관리 측면에서 중요한 자료로 활용될 뿐만 아니라, 새롭게 설계될 항로의 위험도 계산 등에 활용될 것으로 예상된다.

The concept of customer utility, which affects customer's adoption, is important to understand the process of technology diffusion and substitution regarding multiple generation technology. This research defined the concept of attribute-based customer utility and developed a model for measuring attribute-based customer utility. Based on the literature review and modeling, we provided the definition and a model regarding customer utility and the accuracy of the model is verified through a case study of the semiconductor industry. Customer utility for a multiple generation technology needs to consider changes by generation, or time within the same generation, and is defined as the summation of both technological and economic utilities. In addition, we can model the measurement of customer utility after converting technological and economical attributes into utilities. This research is valuable in understanding not only customer utility as a driver of customer adoption, but also for establishing technological strategy after forecasting diffusion and substitution paths based on customer utility.

기술이 급속도로 발전하고 과거 자연 독점을 이루고 있던 많은 서비스 산업의 규제가 완화되면서 경쟁이 더욱 치열해지고 있다 기존 기업들은 신규 시장 진입 기업들을 방해하기 위하여 진입장벽을 높이기도 하고 기존의 인프라를 이용하여 더욱 뛰어난 기술력을 선보이기 위하여 노력한다 하지만 대부분의 서비스 기업들의 경우 이동통신 산업처럼 새로운 서비스가 시장에 진입하게 되면 많은 사람들의 관심이 늘어나고 이로 인해 기존 서비스가 시장에서 퇴출되는 둥의 어려움도 가지고 있다. 또한 독과점 형태를 이루고 있던 기업들은 시장 진입 기업에 대해 방심하고 있다. 갑작스러운 경쟁 체제에 미숙한 대응 방안으로 인하여 더욱 어려움을 겪기도 한다 반면에, 소비자의 경우 신규 서비스 초반 많은 관심을 가지고 이용 서비스를 신규 서비스로 옮기기도 하지만 서비스 품절, 이용용이성, 유용성에 의하여 지속적으로 이용하기도 하고 다시 기존 서비스를 이용하기도 한다. 따라서 경쟁 체제에서의 시장 환경에서 고객 만족도를 높여 결과적으로 고객 충성도를 높이는 전략은 기존 기업뿐만 아니라, 신규 진출 기업에게도 매우 중요한 과제가 되고 있다. 최근 유료방송시장의 기술이 발전하고 IPTV라는 새로운 서비스가 출시됨에 따라 기존의 Cable TV 는 시장 점유율이 잠식당하고 있다 IPTV 의 유료방송 시장으로의 진출로 인해 Cable TV 의 많은 가입자들이 IPTV 로 이용서비스를 옮기는 것을 방지하기 위하여 고객 만족을 높여 결과적으로 고객 의 충성도를 높여 기존 고객의 이탈을 방지하기 위한 전략이 필요하다. 유료방송서비스 외에도 많은 서비스 산업 내에서 경쟁이 치열해지면서 기존 기업들이 고객의 이 탈을 방지하기 위하여 고객 만족도를 높이는 방안에 대한 연구가 필요하다 본 연구에서는 유료방송 시장을 분석하여 서비스 산업에서 고객만족을 높이기 위한 방안에 대하여 연구해보고자 한다. 기존 연구의 서비스 품절, 이용용이성, 유용성에 대한 연구를 기초로 하여 고객 성향, 신규 서비스의 효용성이라는 변수를 추가하여 분석한 결과 고객 성향 및 신규 서비스의 효용성이라는 변수도 역시 고객 만족도와 고객 충성도에 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

In this research, we seek to identify an effective operation management strategy of telecommunication systems. In order to develop operation management strategies, we implement a quantitative techno-economic analysis. We evaluate related issues and factors, and apply the developed method to PSTN switching systems. In the proposed techno-economic modeling, we apply a well-known factor analysis technique-analytic hierarchy process-to evaluate PSTN operation management strategies. Then, we implement a decision analysis methodology to evaluate the cost of proposed strategies. We evaluate the proposed methodology by using available real data of the PSTN system. The primary impact of this research will be realized in helping PSTN operator select the best operation management strategy of PSTN system.

This study uses Conjoint Analysis to study optimal port operations at the newly built International P assenger Terminal (IPT) at Inchon Port, Korea. The perceptions of users, operators, and the Incheon Port Authority are compared and analyzed. The results of user Conjoint Analysis showed that rent calculation method was the most important factor in the NIPT operation plan, followed by establishing automation and the size of the site area. For the Incheon Port Authority and operators, the rent calculation method turned out to be the most important factor for NIPT operation plans. It was followed by establishing automation and the site area. Utility results showed the "investment cost preservation method" to have the highest rent calculation utility, "yard automation" as the priority, and "43,000 pyeong-48,000 pyeong" as the optimal site area.

Recently in the field of information design use of multimedia Including animation has been rapidly increased. And its application is expanding in the field of design nevertheless relevant research in this field is scant. In particular research on which characteristics contribute to improvement for effect of information communication is negligible. Until now designers' interest was mainly focused on visual perfection of screen such as diversity and originality. Actually the aspect of recognition of design was mostly overlooked. But considering ultimate purpose of Information design is accurate communication of information thus there should be more endeavor for research on man's visual recognitive faculty and memory in order to Improve power of communication of information for the purpose of reducing confusion of user before its originality and diversity. For this reason this author in this treatise attempted to examine possible impact of multimedia in information design on recognition of user and communication based on theory of effectiveness of media and also attempted to identify how maximize its effect under different circumstances. Theories on effectiveness of media can be summed up as that well- advanced information of multimedia should be analysed from diverse standpoints on relevancy to tasks and recognitive relevancy rather than its simplification from the standpoint of richness of media. For optimal interface design unnecessary recognitive load should be eliminated and information should be structured by laking maximum advantage of working memory of limited quantity. Also there will be need for selection of proper media and suggestion of expressive method to enable building accurate and successful mental image. In this treatise this author attempted to contribute to designer's decision making in future through examining theories on effectiveness of media in connection with the question of which information technology should be used in order to heighten effect of information communication appropriate to information design.
