A Study on Pre-school Teachers' Perception of 7 Guidelines of Safety Education: Using IPA Methodology (유아교사가 인식하는 유치원 안전교육 표준안에 대한 연구 : IPA기법을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the difference between the importance perceived by pre-school teachers and their actual performance in regards to the 7 Guidelines of Safety Education set out by the Ministry of Education, and through the analysis, to identify the items that need priority support and those that need long-term improvement efforts for exemplary safety education for young children. For this, mean average and standard deviation were calculated and paired sample t-test conducted, and IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) matrix method was performed to analyze the priority and long-term support items and improvement needs. The study results show differences in all areas and all items in the 7 Guidelines of Safety Education by the MoE in the pre-school teachers' perceived importance and actual performance. Areas and items that are identified to be in need of priority support for exemplary safety education in pre-schools; 2 items under 'Violence and Personal Safety' area and I item under 'Substance and Internet Addictions' area. Areas and items that are identified to be in need of long-term improvement efforts are; 6 items under 'First Aid and Emergency Treatment' area, 1 item under 'Violence and Personal Safety' area, 3 items under 'Workplace Safety Culture' area, 3 items under 'Substance and Internet Addictions' area and 1 item under 'Disaster and Safety' area.

More effective application of importance-performance analysis in the case of cyber lecture (중요도-실행도 분석의 효율적 활용에 대한 연구 - 온라인 수능강의에 대한 사례 연구)

  • The importance performance analysis is a simple and condensed analytic method for decision making based on the level of performance or satisfaction. Many researches already have witnessed usefulness of the importance performance analysis, but it also has some drawbacks from the statistical points of view. In this article, some additional techniques dealing the importance performance analysis are introduced and it is shown that these techniques would turn out to be very informative. The importance performance analysis uses the arithmetic average as the main statistic, but by the use of the median, the frequency and the cluster analysis it is shown that the importance performance analysis can be carried out with more crucial information. In addtion to that, it is demonstrated that the combination of the analytic hierarchy process and importance performance analysis could enable more reliable decision making.

  • Recent rapidly growth in nanotechnolgies is promised novel benefits through the exploitation of their unique industrial and biomedical applications. In addition, these nanomaterials and nano-consumer products have increased in quantity per year, and thus their uncontrolled release into the environment is anticipated to grow dramatically in future. Many papers for cytotoxicity of nanomaterials have been already reported, and thus government supports has funded to various research topics for nanosafety. Herein, we analyzed the importance and performance of nanosafety researches and tried to show the research direction where we have to go.

  • Recently, as the awareness of the necessity of entrepreneurship education has spread in secondary education, the competency of educators in the field of education has become more important. This study tried to derive the priority of education needs by exploring the competency of educators to practice entrepreneurship education and the result from analysis of the difference in importance and performance. For conducting the analysis, this study conceptualized entrepreneurship education competency based on the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) model and developed a questionnaires to measure those competencies. Using TPACK and developed questionnaires, a survey was conducted on 217 secondary school teachers who were interested in entrepreneurship education, and derived the difference between importance-level and current-level was analyzed with a t-test. As a result of the study, for all sub-factors of TPACK, the mean of importance-level was higher than the mean of current-level, indicating that educational prescription was required. Also, as a result of analysis of Borich's requirements and The Locus for Focus Model, it was found that the factor with the highest priority in education was CK(Content Knowledge). Based on the results of study, implications for strengthening competencies for entrepreneurship educators were derived.

Kindergarten Teachers' Perceptions on Classroom-wide Positive Behavior Support Strategies: Importance-Performance Analysis (학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원 전략에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식: 중요도와 실행도 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of kindergarten teachers on classroom-wide positive behavior support strategies. Method: A total of 94 kindergarten teachers participated in the study, and the survey data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, paired-t test, and IPA analysis. Results: The results of this study showed that the differences between kindergarten teachers' perceived importance and performance were statistically significant. In addition, categories in the first quadrant were expectations defined, expectations taught, responses to behaviors, and organized and predictable environment. Categories in the third quadrant were monitoring and decision making, management, and support. Category in the fourth quadrant was family involvement. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, the study discussed how to activate classroom-wide positive behavior support strategies in kindergarten.

  • This study is to understand sure the primary crime prevention has been incidence as a social problem intended for parents through the analysis of the Crime Prevention Design (CPTED) CPTED element of recognize elements that target crime prevention strategy to effectively help students be and an object of the present invention is to provide a policy suggestion haryeoneunde proposed basic data required for orientation. To achieve the study objectives such as the core framework in this study IPA: Importance-Performance Analysis) also was selected. Subjects of study in 2010 Gyeongju Elementary parents name and were 203 first research group investigating the secondary school population of the region in 2014 to nomadic parents of 297 people sampled selection. Questionnaire that use by this study applies "Important-Performance Analysis : IPA" technique that Martilla & James(1977) presented and analyzed awareness for CPTED elements of strategy for student's crime prevention to elementary school pupil students' parentse. It was the first group, 0.886, 0.920, 0.895 and 2nd group 0.880, 0.906, 0.878 that reliability of (Cronbach' s ${\alpha}$) the importance, and believability of run chart was the first group, 0.880, 0.917, 0.878 and 2nd group, 0.735, 0.840, 0.830. Analysis of Major Management Factors Affecting Crew Productivity in Road Bridge Construction Site Using IPA (IPA를 이용한 도로교량 골조공사의 작업조 생산성 관리요인의 중요도 및 실행도 분석)

  • Crew productivity in the construction industry is an important indicator of soundness and efficiency of work process, since all works in a site are conducted as groups of people. A survey was conducted in order to reveal importance and performance of major management factors affecting crew productivity in road bridge construction site using IPA. As a result of the analysis, it was found that 'Construction equipment' and 'Human resource related' factors among five major-categories are most important but with low performance. Furthermore, from another analysis with 27 factors of sub-categories, it is revealed that factors needed sustained attention are four, namely 'Just-in-time machinery delivery', 'Formation of a crew members', 'Skill of workers', and 'Site control and management', whereas those needed much more improvement are five, such as 'Machinery performance', 'Clearity of Design', 'Clearity of shop drawing', 'Timing of work instruction and approval', and 'Clearity of work instruction'. Findings from this study will enable road agencies as well as road construction experts to enhance crew productivity in a site.

  • Since a government policy greatly affects markets and firms, an evaluation on government's policies is recognized as a critical issue. In Korea, two major policy plans on CM(Construction Management) include the Construction Industry Promotion Plan and the Construction Technology Promotion Plan from which Government's CM policies can be understood. The objective of the study is to analyze and discuss CM firm's perception and evaluation toward the Government's CM policies of the two plans based on the Gap analysis. The paper identified that the CM firms perceive that the Government's CM policies properly deal with key issues of the industry. However, they evaluate that the execution of the policies has been overall under-performed. As a way forward, the Government needs to improve on the execution plan and performance measurement rather than to develop new policy agenda.

  • This study uses the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) on viewing motivation for the revitalization of Korean creative musicals. The IPA is the evaluation techniques to simultaneously compare and analyze relative importance and achievement of each attribute for multi-attribute models. This analysis uses the discerning method by displaying the matrix that includes the factors about which customers care and customer satisfaction on each factor. The customer satisfaction is determined by customer expectation for each attribute and its implementation level. This study, through this method, exams the importance and satisfaction level on attributes of viewing motivations for Korean creative musicals.

A Study on the Development Strategies of University Students in Sports Colleges by Evaluating Core Competencies (스포츠계열 대학생들의 핵심역량 평가에 따른 발전방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance and performance of core competencies recognized by Korean sports students and to identify directions and methods for strengthening the competence of sports students in the future direction of future society. The results of analysis of 309 students of sports major students are as follows. First, the importance of core competencies recognized by college students in sports was in the order of self - management capacity, interpersonal capacity, communication capacity, comprehensive thinking ability, resource information technology utilization capability, and global capability. Second, the students' performance of their core competencies evaluated by sports college students was in the order of interpersonal competence, self-management competence, communication competence, comprehensive thinking ability, global competency, and resource information technology utilization competency. Third, the difference between the importance of core competence and the degree of performance was found to be significant in all areas, and the areas of great difference were total thinking, communication ability, resource information technology utilization capacity, self-management capability, Relationship competence. While college students in sports college have relatively high level of interpersonal competence, self-management competence and communication ability, comprehensive thinking ability, resource information technology utilization capacity and global competency are weak. Therefore, It will be able to be reborn as the talent required by society. Therefore, universities need to cultivate competitive sports talent through innovation of curriculum and capacity of faculty, and it should be recognized that this can be linked to the competitiveness of universities.
