A Genetic Algorithm for Materialized View Selection in Data Warehouses (데이터웨어하우스에서 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 구체화된 뷰 선택 기법)

  • A data warehouse stores information that is collected from multiple, heterogeneous information sources for the purpose of complex querying and analysis. Information in the warehouse is typically stored In the form of materialized views, which represent pre-computed portions of frequently asked queries. One of the most important tasks of designing a warehouse is the selection of materialized views to be maintained in the warehouse. The goal is to select a set of views so that the total query response time over all queries can be minimized while a limited amount of time for maintaining the views is given(maintenance-cost view selection problem). In this paper, we propose an efficient solution to the maintenance-cost view selection problem using a genetic algorithm for computing a near-optimal set of views. Specifically, we explore the maintenance-cost view selection problem in the context of OR view graphs. We show that our approach represents a dramatic improvement in terms of time complexity over existing search-based approaches that use heuristics. Our analysis shows that the algorithm consistently yields a solution that only has an additional 10% of query cost of over the optimal query cost while at the same time exhibits an impressive performance of only a linear increase in execution time. We have implemented a prototype version of our algorithm that is used to evaluate our approach.

Implementation of Electrical and Optical characteristics based on new packaging in UV LED (UV LED의 광효율 및 방열성능 향상을 위한 new packaging 특성 연구)

  • Ultra Violet(UV) is gradually being replaced with LED instead of general UV lamps. However, the light efficiency of UV LED is still lower than that of the general lamp, and the light efficiency is also low. Due to the current environment and technical problems of UV lamps, the LED replacements are gradually being made. In this study, a new package design and analysis were performed to increase the lifetime and performance of UV LEDs. A new packaging for UV LED were designed and implemented. The new packaging for UV LED was constructed to improve light efficiency. And the electrical and optical characteristics were analyzed respectively. To improve the optical efficiency in UV LED package, the Al has been used based on high reflectivity and applying the optimal lens focusing. Compared to the existing silver Ag, the light efficiency was improved by about 30% or more, and it was confirmed that the light output degradation characteristic was improved by about 10% in the newly applied optical device chip.

  • 본 연구는 컨조인트 분석기법을 이용하여 의자의 물리적 적합도를 분석, 평가하여 사용자가 선호하는 최적의 의자를 제시하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 컨조인트 분석기법은 Marketing 분야에서 주로 많이 쓰여온 분석 방법으로서 제품의 중요한 속성들을 찾아내어 다양한 종류의 제품들에 대한 고객의 선호도를 분석하는 방법이다. 이러한 컨조인트 분석기법은 제품개발과 평가의 측면에서 매우 큰 가능성이 있음에도 불구하고 마켓팅 이외의 분야에서는 거의 적용되자 않고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 의자의 물리적 적합성 연구에 이 컨조인트 분석을 이용하여 그 적용의 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 또한 이러한 적합성 연구에 컨조인트 분석기법이 타당한 분석기법인지 비교하기 위해 분산분석의 기법도 병행하여 실시하였다. 문헌 조사와 전문가 의견 수렴을 통하여 선행연구에서 추출된 의자의 물리적 적합도 요소인 안정성, 여유성, 적합성, 안락성등 4개의 적합도 요소를 채택하여 종속변수로 사용하였다. 또한 의자 자체의 설계 요소에 해당하는 휴먼인터페이스 요소(HIE)는 높이 조절 여부, 팔걸이 유무, Tilting 유무의 3가지 속성을 선택하여 독립변수로 사용하였다. 분석에 사용된 의자는 각 속성을 특징적으로 대표하는 8개의 의자들로서 구성하였고 63명의 피험자를 사용하여 실험하였다. 분석의 결과는 안정성에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 속성은 높이조절(HC)로서 남자와 여자 모두 높이조절 기능이 없을 때 안정성을 느낀다는 결과가 나왔다. 여유성에 영향을 주는 가장 큰 요인은 남자는 높이조절 기능이 있을 때, 여자는 팔걸이가 있을 때 여유성이 있다고 판단하였으며, 인체적합성에 영향을 주는 요인은 남자와 여자 모두 Tilting 기능이, 안락성에 영향을 주는 주요인은 남자는 Tilting 기능이 있을 매, 여자는 높이조절 기능이 있을 때인 것으로 나타났다.감, 강연성, 회복성, 수분특성, 밀도감이었으며, 요인들로 설명되는 누적분산값은 67.18%였다.주관적 평가의 결과와 객관적 평가 결과를 이용해 마직물의 태를 평가하는 산출식을 제시하였다. 태 평가치의 경우 16가지 특성치를 모두 넣는 방법과 stepwise 방법, 또 Kawabatark 사용한 순차적 군 회귀법의 세가지 방법의 회귀식 중 16가지 특성치를 모두 넣는 방법의 결정계수가 가장 높았다.tosterone농도는 107.7$\pm$12.0 pmol/l이었고, 남성의 타액내 농도는 274.2$\pm$22.1 pmol/l이었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 연구에서 정립된 EIA 방법은 RIA를 대신하여 소규모의 실험실에서도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.또한 상실기 이후 배아에서 합성되며, 발생시기에 따라 그 영향이 다르고 팽창과 부화에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. 더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea.   • As customer management rises by important issue in electronic commerce, virtue study about CRM have proceeded much. However, because existent researches were positive researches of most statistical base, There are some limitation that does not show dynamic change with CRM flow by flowing of time, and can not forecast propriety and future result about CRM strategy. Therefore, in order to overcome existent limitation on these CRM study, this study designed dynamic model which draws factors that compose CRM strategy of on-line shopping mall, and do based on technique in system dynamics so that can analyze dynamic change between these factors. Concretely, atomized customer focuses in the on-line shopping mall and does based on Permission marketing theory, and applied CRM of different level to atomized customers and know change of customer satisfaction measurement and discomfort degree accordingly. According to the result of Simulation practice, situation that achieve CRM strategy of different level by atomize customer more increase the customer satisfaction than situation that is not so. Dynamic pattern that presented in this study is expected that can verify validity about CRM achievement strategy of different level at each CRM point of contact & how Internet enterprise including on-line shopping mall is establishing CRM strategy reasonably.

  • In order to cultivate talented people with national economic influence in the rapidly changing 21st- century modern society, STEM(Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) education has been emphasized in advanced countries such as America and England. In South Korea, STEAM(Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) education is emphasized by adding Arts. The objective of STEAM education is to strengthen the interest and motivation of learners, to focus on experience, exploration, experimentation, to solve convergent thinking and real-life problems, rather than cramming method of teaching and memorization. This study identifiesan instructional design for converged English, the world's official language, and science which is found in nearly all disciplines. With the development of the 4th industrial revolution based on the PBL model, learners participate in their lessons voluntarily for problem-solving skills. The instructional design based on the ADDIE model consists of 5 procedures: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The goal of fostering talented people with national economic influence is also important, and the teacher in education must recognize the importance of STEAM education and an appropriate instructional design should be studied constantly.

  • Recently, with the increasing use of smart phones, security issues, such as safety and reliability of the use of the Android application has become a topic to provide services in various forms. An Android application is performed using several important files in the form of an apk file. On the other hand, they may be subject to unauthorized use, such as the loss of rights and privileges due to the insertion of malicious source code of these apk files. This paper examines the Android environment to study ways to define the threats related to the unauthorized use of the application source code, and based on the results of the analysis, to prevent unauthorized use of the application source code. In this paper, a system is provided using a third body to prevent and detect applications that have been counterfeited or forged illegally and installed on Android devices. The application provides services to existing systems that are configured with only the service server that provides users and applications general, This paper proposes the use of a trusted third party for user registration and to verify the integrity of the application, add an institution, and provide a safe application.

AN OVERVIEW OF REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING PROCESS (지역 교통계획과정의 개관)

  • This is to introduce and overview regional transportation planning processes in the southwest region of the State of Washington, USA. First, significant roles of Growth Management Act (GMA) of the State of Washington in transportation planning are examined. Major functions and roles of Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) as an MPO in the southwest region of the State of Washington, are reviewed mainly from the regional transportation planning perspectives by examining regional transportation planning programs and coordination among the state and local cities and counties. Finally, processes and roles of Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) are discussed. Regional transportation planning processes in a case of the southwest region of the State of Washington may be considered as a reference in regional transportation planning efforts in Korea.

Analysis of Cosmetics Research and Development Trends based on National Research and Development Projects (국가 연구개발(R&D) 과제 기반 화장품 연구개발 동향 분석)

  • This study aimed to scrutinize the evolution of cosmetics research and development (R&D) in Korea, utilizing data from nationally funded R&D projects, and to suggest strategies to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). A thorough analysis was performed on cosmetics-related national R&D funded project data from 2019 to 2023, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on annual trends, key organization, regional characteristics, major departments, and main functions and efficacy of R&D. The features revealed that the cosmetics industry, predominantly comprised of SMEs, is directing its efforts towards the development of a diverse range of functional products, with a recent shift towards the production of eco-friendly and sustainable materials. From a regional perspective, Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongbuk-do had the highest levels of R&D activities, demonstrating the significant R&D capabilities of these local industry. It provides a systematic comprehensive analysis based on national R&D funded project data, identifies recent trends in the cosmetics industry, and evidence for SMEs to strengthen market competitiveness and establish long-term strategies for sustainable growth. Therefore, the results of this study dispense significant information and insights not only to SMEs but also to policymakers, using critical foundational data for formulating and implementing policies to advance the cosmetics industry.

A Study on the Plan for Creating a Youth Entrepreneurship Education Environment (청소년 기업가정신 교육 환경 조성을 위한 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this research was educational needs of experts for revitalizing youth entrepreneurship education and creating effective conditions for such education. The subjects of the survey were chosen 100 teachers who had participated in entrepreneurship-related professional training for teachers were selected and surveyed. A total of 100 questionnaires were collected, of which 92 (92.00%) were used for the analysis. Eight were excluded as they were not properly answered. As for the used survey tool, a total of 8 areas and 30 items were derived from the review of the literature, and the validity of the contents was examined through expert meetings. The data were analyzed using the SPSS (ver. 20.0) statistical program. The analysis was conducted in terms of the required competency level, perceived competency level and educational needs. As for the used analytical methods, first, the averages of the required competency level and perceived competency level were calculated and the education needs were calculated using Borich's formula, and then the averages were compared through paired t-test. The results turned out to be statistically significant (p<.000). The details are as follows: As a result of the calculation of the educational needs the educational needs in all areas turned out to be very high with the average being 4.94 points, which indicates that the teachers strongly feel the need for educational strengthening in relation to entrepreneurship. These results show that all the educational conditions such as entrepreneurship-related curriculum, teacher professionalism, educational environment, educational support and the perception among school community members are insufficient in the current school settings. For the improvement of the current status, the education conditions in the following areas should be improved: the cooperation from school community members including principals, teacher support such as an exclusive responsibility teacher system, the development of an entrepreneurship curriculum, the securing of teacher professionalism through the implementation of the curriculum, teacher training support for the enhancement of their professionalism and the provision of educational environment and facilities. For enhancing the perception of parents and society regarding entrepreneurship, it is necessary to establish the precise concept of entrepreneurship and promote it based on such work.

  • It is very crucial that small and medium-sized enterprises, called SMEs, should play a pivotal role in creating jobs and contributing to export. Day by day under the influence of the increment globalization of the world market and the rapid changes of business environment, our country has been heavily dependent on export to the foreign countries. Therefore, both enterprises' Marketing Mix such as Product, Price, Place and Promotion and global competitiveness are essential elements to raise the volume of export. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationships between Marketing Mix and Marketing Performance. The considerable number of 338 domestic export SMEs was surveyed to verify the hypothesis and research model through a covariance structure analysis via AMOS 18.0, accompanied by the confirmatory factor analysis to prove suggested potential variables. After the strenuous empirical analysis, the relationship between marketing mix elements and marketing performance, the place and promotion element of 4Ps' Mix proved to have a postive impact on marketing performance. This research focused on Marketing Mix as major elements in marketing performance. Theoretical and practical implications are generated to help both enterprises and policy-makers that cover comprehensive government policies for SMEs.
