  • 어항-어촌은 단순한 모습그대로의 어항-어촌이 아니다. 국민이 바다와 접하고 해양지향적 사고를 키우는 공간이다. 예술의 전당 못지않은 문화공간이다. 한반도가 일류국가로 성장하기 위해서는 21세기 인류의 새로운 문화를 선도하는 해양지향적 문화의 중심지로 거듭나야 한다. 황해와 동해를 세기의 해양질서-문화의 중심축으로 하고 어촌-어항을 해양기능의 지원공간으로, 문화의 거점으로 개발하는 발상의 전환이 필요하다. 혼이 있는 개발이 요구된다. 그리고 그 속에서 행복을 느끼는 어업인의 가치관, 그것을 지원하는 과학기술적 투자 그리고 개발의 추진이 이루어질때, 새 천년은 가장 아름다운 어항의 모습으로 인류에게 꿈과 희망을 주는 공간이 될 것이다.

  • The area to be surveyed is the three-seat of Myeon office in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, where population is declining. Satisfaction with the use of local residents of rural central areas providing life services in the back area was identified, focusing on sustainable development and the compact cities. Based on the results of the study, the recommendations are as follows. First, the local spaces to be surveyed need a shift to a walk-centered choice and social structure, not a must-oriented, activity-centric structure. This not only improves the neighborhood of rural areas, but also increases the frequency of pedestrian exchange and helps keep the community afloat. Second, it could enhance the convenience of residents by reviving stocks in existing commercial areas and integrating public services. Finally, it has the effect of taking care of the socially disadvantaged and immigrants in terms of space welfare, and securing jobs through locally customized community businesses.

Evaluation of the Effect of Urban-agriculture on Urban Heat Island Mitigation (도시농업의 도시열섬현상 저감효과에 대한 계량화 평가연구)

  • Vegetation can make not only to lower the urban ambient air temperature (UAAT) by crop evapotranspiration (ET) and increasing solar radiation albedo, but also to reduce the urban air pollution by $CO_2$ uptake and $O_2$ emission in addition to the reducing ozone concentrations by aid of lower the UAAT. To evaluate the effect of vegetation on urban heat island mitigation (UHIM), the climate change of 6 cities during 30 years are analysed, and the amount of ET, $CO_2$ uptake, $O_2$ emission and ozone concentrations are estimated in Korea. The most hot season is the last part of July and the first part of August, and the highest average UAAT of a period of ten days was $35.03^{\circ}C$ during 30 years (1979 - 2008). The mean values of maximum ET of rice and soybean in urban area during urban heat island phenomena were 6.86 and $6.00mm\;day^{-1}$, respectively. The effect of rice and soybean cultivation on lowering the UAAT was assessed to be 10.5 and $3.0^{\circ}C$ in Suwon, respectively, whereas the differences between the UAAT and canopy temperature at urban paddy and upland in Ansung were 2.6 and $2.2^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, the urban-garden in Suwon city had resulted in lowering the UAAT and the surface temperature of buildings to 2.0 and $14.5^{\circ}C$, respectively. Furthermore, the amounts of $CO_2$ uptake by rice and soybean were estimated to be 20.27 and $15.54kg\;CO_2\;10a^{-1}day^{-1}$, respectively. The amounts of $O_2$ emission by rice and soybean were also assessed to be 14.74 and $11.30kg\;O_2\;10a^{-1}day^{-1}$, respectively. As other cleaning effect of air pollution, the ozone concentrations could be also estimated to reduce 21.0, 8.8, and 4.0 ppb through rice-, soybean cultivation, and urban gardening during most highest temperature period in summer, respectively.

The Changes of Job-Housing Balance and Commuting Trip in Seoul Metropolitan Area: 2005-2010 (수도권의 직주균형과 통근통행의 변화: 2005-2010년)

  • This study analysed the job-housing balance using the number of employees and workers data, and investigated the relationship between job-housing ratio and commuting trip in the Seoul metropolitan area. Between 2005-2010, in the central business district which functioned as urban center, the number of employees were reduced and population growth slowed. Meanwhile, the suburbanization of employment and population has advanced as the employment and population moved from Seoul to Gyeonggi-do. As the increasement of workers compared to the employees became prominent, the excess workers increased significantly. The size of excess workers acted as a factor which reduced the job-housing ratio. Job-housing imbalance worsened in Gyeonggi-do especially. While in many regions, job-housing imbalance improved in clerical, sales, and professional job sectors, but in some regions, the job-housing imbalance worsened in simple labor job and service job sectors. The number of jobs which job-housing imbalance was eased increased in the employment center. The more the job-housing ratio is high, the lower the degree of self-sufficiency of commuting trip and the proportion of internal commuters. In business centers where the number of employees exceed the number of workers, the job-housing ratio and the proportion of commuting trips coming from other regions showed decreasing trend together. The results bear important implications for regional labour market plans considering the spatial mismatch between jobs and housing.

  • 과소지역 보은군의 목적별 통행이라는 교통수요와 이용 교통수단의 기능을 고찰한 결과 다음과 같은 점이 밝혀졌다. 먼저 보은군 주민은 의무적 통행보다 자유재량 통행의 공간적 범위가 넓고, 교통수단의 선택은 제한성, 편리성, 신속성에 의한다. 또 비벽지지역에서 근무.통근, 고급품 구매, 통원통행은 편리성 때문에 자가용 자동차의 이용이 많고, 통학은 제한성 때문에 비벼지지역이나, 벽지지역 모두 군내버스를 , 벽지지역에서의 고급품 구매는 편리성과 제한성 때문에 자가용 자동차와 시외버스를 많이 이용한다. 그리고 벽지지역의 통원은 공공 교통수단의 제한성에도 불구하고 병.의원이 집중한 상위 중심지를 방문한다.

부산남항 재창조를 위한 수변공간계획

  • 부산남항은 부산도심의 중심지에 위치한 연안항으로서 지난 1세기동안 수산업, 수리조선업을 토대로 성장해왔다. 하지만 항만기능의 축소, 항만시설 노후화, 수변과의 단절. 주변지역 침체 등으로 항만에 대한 부정적 인식이 증가하고 남항을 둘러싼 주변 여건이 급격하게 변하며 지역사회를 중심으로 부산남항의 기능재편 및 공간개선에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 남항에 대한 부정적인 인식을 변화시키고 새로운 가치를 창출하는 매력적인 공간으로 변모시키기 위해서는 항만이 차지하던 수변을 친수공간을 비롯한 다목적 도시공간으로 재개발하여 시민과 관광객을 위한 열린 공간으로 재창조해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 수변공간, 수변경관, 수변활용을 종합적으로 고려하여 부산남항의 재창조를 위한 수변공간계획안을 제시하였다.

  • This research aims to introduce the theoretical basis of the studies of tourism resources, by review the research trends of tourism resources in the geography field. The geographical approaches to tourism resouces can be subdicided into 3 categories according to the subject. First, the classification of tourism resource types and the approach on the spatial distribution may be enumerated. This subject has been the object of the most interest and discussion to the geographers for tourism up to now. And from the viewpoint of contents, it has been developed by classifying the types of tourism resoures, which is based on the establishment of the range and standard of tourism resources and the spatial classification of types based on the distribution feature of the area. Second, the approach about cognition, preference and interpretation on the tourism resources as the background to induce tourism phenomenon and decide the tourism destination. Judging from the fact that most of this subject is starting from the behavioural study and that the right understanding and interpretation of tourism resource is the important factor to decide the preference degree of tourists, we have to have much interest about the field of tourism geoaraphy. Third, the development of tourism resources which is showing the active study recently and its influence and effect attendant upon it may be enumerated. Today, as the economic value of tourism is become important internationally, tourism resources are recognized as the important factor to induce the industrialization of tourism. And in the series of analytical studies related to it the interest has been transferred from the economic benefit analysis attendant upon tourism development including tourism resource and to the cultural, educational, environmental and psychological influence, etc. As the result of composite examination, for the geographical studies about tourism resources, the spatial scale and the contents are being subdivided and specialized. And in the side of subject and method of study, it is developing into the positive study based on the concrete data and the measuring and analytical frame.

  • As globalization is making rapid progress, place of international trade based on seaports is changing to airports, which make logistic function in airport getting more important. Airports are required to serve as social overhead capital representing economies of scale as well as a logistic hub for integrating production, sales and transport for multinational corporations. In order to keep regional airport hub, many strategies are required such as development of hinterland and competitive advantage strategies. This paper tried to find determining factors to be a hub airport and competitiveness for hubbing, using the data from Incheon, Narita, Kansai, Nagoya, Singapore-Changi and Taipei airports. As the result of making an analysis of competitiveness of airports and competitive ranking excluding hinterland factors.
