The purpose of this study is to investigate the external collaboration factors that affect the performance of Korean venture businesses. We use 1,567 firm data (from Venture Business Survey by Small & Medium Business Administration) and analyze the effect of the external collaborations with large business, research institutions, other small business, and foreign companies, on their sales increase between 2008 and 2009. Our analysis shows that Korean venture business' collaborations with research institutions or foreign companies increase their sales statistically significantly, while their collaborations with large business decrease their sales significantly. In the mean time, their collaborations with other small businesses show no significant result. Additional analysis on the collaboration categories between venture businesses and large businesses shows that collaborative R&D, employee training and collaborative marketing help venture business to increase their sales significantly, while financial collaborations have a significant negative effect on sales increase. Technology transfers and profit-sharing mechanism have no significant effect. The result shows that venture business' collaborations for the increase in the fundamental capability of innovations and for searching new markets rather than simple transfer of technology or financial collaborations, have significant positive effects on the increase in sales.

It is important that SMEs build business ecosystems on the open innovation for sustainable innovation. And, many Korea companies have tried to adopt new ideas from external collaborators and transfer their technologies to others based un the open innovation. But SMEs hard to progress it than middle & large companies. So, our research purpose is to find success factors of open innovation in regional SMEs.

This paper aims to examine structural relationship between the influence factors of company performance, hypothesizing that strategic orientations and entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in achieving organizational performance in small-medium sized and ventures manufacturing firms. For this research, data were collected from 205 firms. By using Structure Equation Modeling(SEM) method, it was found that competitor orientation, technology orientation directly affect company performance but, customer orientation were not affected company performance. Furthermore, it was also found that the relationship between strategy orientation and company performance is differentiated by entrepreneurship. Especially, this finding confirms that the entrepreneurship moderately affects the relationship between competitor orientation, technology orientation and company performance on the small-medium sized and ventures manufacturing firms.

최근 세계경제의 중장기적 불황과 성장률의 하락을 경험하고 있는 가운데, 새로운 상품이나 서비스를 탄생시키고 생산방식의 변화와 혁신을 통해 조직의 지속가능성을 높이는 조직구조에 대한 관심이 날로 높아지고 있다. 이러한 분위기에서 중소벤처기업의 성장은 국가경제에 미치는 영향이 매우 크다는 것을 모두 공감하고 있으며, 이러한 중소벤처기업이 기업의 성과를 높이고 그러한 성과를 지속할 수 있도록 구성원들의 학습역량을 높이기 위한 다양한 노력들이 지속되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적 역시 벤처기업 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 학습민첩성과 어떠한 상관관계를 가지고 있는가를 조사하고 탐험과 활용을 하는 양손잡이 조직구조가 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 분석 하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 벤처기업 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 조직구성원의 학습민첩성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 양손잡이 조직구조의 매개효과를 중심으로 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 CEO의 기업가정신과 리더십이 벤처기업의 양손잡이 구조를 증진하고, 증진된 양손잡이 구조가 학습민첩성에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 인과적 경로를 검증하고자 한다. 불확실한 환경 하에서 조직의 지속적인 성장과 생존을 위해 새로운 변화에 빠르게 대응할 수 있는, 그리고 조직 내의 핵심 역량으로 요구되고 있는 학습민첩성(Learning Agility)을 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

벤처캐피탈은 유망한 기술력과 우수인력을 갖춘 창업초기단계부터 성장단계의 유망 중소벤처기업에 필요한 자본을 투자하고 경영 및 기술 등을 지원하여 성장 이후 다양한 수단을 통해 투자금을 회수하여 이익을 실현하는 벤처생태계의 핵심주체로서의 역할을 하고 있다. 벤처캐피탈의 업무는 다양한 출자자(LP)를 모집하여 벤처투자조합(펀드)를 결성을 통해 성장성이 있는 중소벤처기업에 투자하고 기업의 성장함에 따라 투자금을 회수하여 출자자들에게 배분과 재투자를 하는 것이다. 벤처투자에 있어 가장 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있는 벤처캐피탈리스트의 업무는 기업발굴, 기업분석 및 평가, 투자심사, 사후관리, 투자회수 등이며 임원급 이상의 경우 펀드레이징(펀드결성)이 중요한 업무이며 투자와 회수 및 펀드결성 등의 업무성과로 연봉, 성과급, 승진 등 보상이 이루어지고 있다. 최근 급격히 성장하는 벤처투자시장에 비해 투자인력은 부족하며 이에 투자성과 제고를 위해 인력양성과 장기근속을 위한 인프라와 시스템을 갖추기 위해 벤처캐피탈은 많은 노력을 하고 있으나 다른 산업에 비해 벤처캐피탈 산업의 연구자체가 부족할 뿐만 아니라 주로 투자수익률 등 계량적인 관점에서 연구가 이루어졌다. 이에 본 연구는 벤처캐피탈리스트가 소속된 벤처캐피탈의 조직특성 중 권한위임, 직무적합성, 조직신뢰 등이 성과급 등 업무성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 연구하고 벤처캐피탈의 유형에 따른 조절효과를 중심으로 실증적인 분석하고자 한다.
