The Fuzzy-analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was adopted as the methodology for this study because it allows for the use qualitative judgments by experts. Based on results of the analysis of the success factors for frozen storage/cold storage warehouses, the facility factor was identified as the most important to consider. This factor had a weight of 0.307, followed by systems and operations, accessibility, and standardization/automation with weights of 0.263, 0.255, and 0.175, respectively. The conclusions and implications of the study are as follows. First, the efficiency of constant temperature and humidity systems and the heat insulation property of buildings need to be enhanced. Second, the efficiency of the operations should be enhanced through the standardization of equipment rather than by standardizing product loading. Finally, since logistics and transportation costs are higher for frozen storage/cold storage warehouses than for general distribution, accessibility needs to be considered as the first priority.
Gasification technology is one of the representative next-generation fossil fuel utilization technologies, converting low grade fossil fuels such as coal, heavy residue oil, pet-coke into highly clean and efficient energy sources. Accordingly, related market demand for gasification technology is ever increasing steadily and rapidly. A few years ago, conventional pulverized coal utilization technology had an edge over the gasification technology but the most significant technical barrier of limited capacity and availability has been largely overcome nowadays. Futhermore, it will be more competitive in the future with the advancement of related technologies such as gas turbine, ion transfer membrane and so on. China has recently completed a commercialization-capable large-scale coal gasification technology for its domestic market expansion and foreign export, rapidly becoming a newcomer in the field and competing with existing US and EU technical leadership at comparable terms. Techno-economic aspect deserves intensive attention and steady R&D efforts need to continue in organized, considering that gasification technology is quite attractive combined with $CO_2$ capture process and coal to SNG plant is economically viable in Korea where natural gas is very expensive. In the present paper, recent technology development and commercialization trend of many leading companies with coal gasification expertise have been reviewed with significant portion of literature cited from the recently held '2014 Gasification Technology Conference'.

Japan has a lot of interest about weapons systems development of surrounding national and has invested heavily in securing intelligence assets to get information about them, because of conflict issues between Japan and Russia with four northern islands, China with Senkaku Islands and entry policy into the Pacific. Japan has used a large budget to detect and intercept ballistic missile for reasons of the launch of the Taepodong missile in 1998. After took over SIGINT equipments which U.S. force had operated in 1950s~1960s, Japan made a technological analysis and advanced IT technology to produce superior equipments. Japan's SDF has installed them in 19 locations across Japan. In addition, Japan's JASDF has installed advanced early warning RADAR to detect aircraft and high speed ballistic missile entering JADIZ with S-band in 28 locations across Japan. It is possible to detect missile launch preparations, engine tests, and launch moments at any time for operation of 6 satellites high resolution reconnaissance system and 6 aegis ships. In close cooperation with the US, Japan is accessible to the SBIRS networks which detects the launch of a ballistic missile in neighboring countries. In the future, Because the United States wants Japan to act as part of the United States in East, south Asia, it is believed that the exchange of intelligence on the surrounding countries between two countries will be enhanced.
Ramyeon is a wheat-food that has been mixed a dietary culture of China, Japan, American and Korea. Simultaneously it was the first convenience food that made of flour in Korea, which had been relatively few recipes until the early 1960's. To examine the changes of Ramyeon which has been consumed in large quantities since the late 1960s, this paper classified 1963~2012 into 6 periods. From political, economic, social, cultural and international perspectives we considered the changes of Ramyeon through the articles analysis of mass media(DongaIlbo, The KyunghyangShinmun, MBC news). The total number of articles was 3,823 with an average of 76.46/y. Each field was summarized as following sub-topics; In political(Election, North Korea), in economic(Price, Economy), in social(Promotion campaign for eating of flour, Incidents, Donation), in cultural(Consumption, Extreme situations, Nutrition) and in international field(Exporting). Each period was named according to the feature; Early stage, Expansion stage, Domestic growth stage, Overseas stage, Advanced stage, Transition stage. Ramyeon has changed in a closely relation with society for past 50 years.
This study analyzes the achievement of the shipping policies and the priority for the promotion of such policies, in order to consider the features of the shipping industries in Korea and other advanced shipping countries and manage the rapidly changing shipping environment actively. Based on such analysis, this study also discusses the promotional strategy to strengthen the international competitiveness of the shipping industry. Regarding the promotion of the related policies, it is necessary to establish a base for growth, strengthen a capacity of leading the market, and create an opportunity in the market. By considering such three factors, it has become known that the establishment of the market order is important for the establishment of a base for growth. It is important to consider the advancement of the shipping tax system. Also, the information-orientation and the knowledge-industrialization of the shipping industry need to be considered. In order to strengthen a capacity of leading the market, the stable security of the labor force in the shipping industry is the most important factor. Also, it is important to consider the development and the upbringing of the global mega career and the shipping business. Regarding the creation of an opportunity in the market, it is important to expand the range of the shipping exchange between South Korea and North Korea, which will influence the administrative and the operative results related with the promotion of the related policies.
Recently, global economy has recovered and aspects of the renewable energy industry in the global competition is more fierce, the new growth engines of the major countries, including the United States and China, industry promotion policy as being deployed. Major advanced countries and Korea also invested a lot of money to wind power development as a part of renewable energy development and promoting the construction of wind power generation. The global wind power generation market is expected to further increase the scale to about 70 billion US dollars, thus, Korea as well as the installation of domestic wind power overseas actively considering. This study uses input-output analysis to estimate the role of wind power generation sector exports national economy. More specifically, this study shows what national economy effect of production-inducing effect, value-added inducing effect, and employment-inducing effect are explored with demand-driven moel. After define wind power generation sector what small sized of Input-Output table 168 sectors among 11 sectors, this study pays particular and close attention to wind power generation sector by taking the sector as exogenous specification and then investigating economic impacts of it. The wind power generation exportation case of overseas 100 billion won, production-inducing effect, value-added inducing effect, and employment-inducing effect are 205 billion won, 68 billion won and 1,054 persons, respectively. These quantitative information can be usefully utilized in the policy-making for the industrialization of wind power generation exports.
The main purpose of this study is to understand the socio-cultural adaptation and life-styles of the Chinese and Korean immigrants in Vancouver, Canada. Of interest are the immigration policies of the Canadian government and formation of the Chinese and Korean minority societies in Vancouver. Attention is given to estimating the size of the Korean population in Vancouver, utilizing the listings of telephone directory and the proportion of surname Kims in the Korean population. This paper focuses on explaining the distinctive adaptation patterns and socio-cultural characteristics of the Chinese and Korean immigrants. A conceptual scheme of socio-cultual adaptation of the minority immigrants, which is hypothesized as a function of the participation to the host society and the cultural identity, is also developed in this paper. Findings of the analysis suggest that the Chinese and Korean population in Vancouver witnessed a rapid growth since the mid 1980s, when the Canadian government launched the immigration programs for investors and entrepreneurs. It appears that the Chinese and Korean immigrants hold strong ethnic identity and maintain cultural traditions and life-styles of their own. While Chinese immigrants are characterized by active participation to the host society, Korean immigrants tend to confine themselves to the Korean enclave, and thus keep a certain distance from the host society. This appears to be particularly true for the Koreans who immigrated with a status of investor or entrepreneur. As the key force behind the ethnic differences in their adaptation, the role of voluntary associations is stressed. Finally, the future prospects of the Chinese and Korean societies and their acculturation are discussed in this study.

This study examines spatial characteristics of residential distribution and occupational composition of Korean emmigrants who live in China, United States, and Japan. The data used are The Conditions of Korean Emmigrants published by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. Analysis method used this data are as follows: 1) to clarify the tendency and spatial distribution of Korean emmigrants in each nation. 2) to grasp the residential distribution of Korean emmigrants in China, United States, and Japan where many Koreans have lived. 3) to analyze the occupational composition and its spatial characteristics of Korean emmigrants. The main findindgs obtained are summarized as follows: Farmer, forester, stock farmer, and fishery occupy over 50% of the employees of Korean emmigrants in China; traders and other employees occupy about three-fourths of the employees of Korean emmigrants in United States; and other employees occupy about 80% of the employees of Korean emmigrants in Japan. Therefore, the ratio of occupational composition of Korean emmigrants was influenced by emmigration motive, level of economic development of emmigration nation, restrictive condition for ethnic minority, and social status before emmigration etc. Specialized occupational composition in region where many Korean emmigrants in each nation lived was that the highest specialized occupation in region including primary city in population scale is trader; the highest specialized occupation in region including secondary city is manufacturing employee, and the highest specialized occupation in region including third city has transitional characteristics of each region including primary and secondary city. And professional occupation such as lawyer, doctor, religionist and educator appeared to the region including primary city. Finally, Korean emmigrants in United States and Japan contributed to the revitalization of inner city areas. And potential ethnic organization can be seen in church, mass media, and enterprise association in United States, but it can be seen in community shopping association in Japan, Because American society is based on Christianity but Japanese society is not.
Recently, foreign direct investment of Korea has increased significantly. Foreign direct investment is motivated by various reasons and renewable energy investments in foreign countries can be performed by many causes. Korean companies can enjoy the export of products, related EPC contracts, acquisition of the knowledge of the project management technique, pre-occupying effect of the market and profit itself. Wind power projects have biggest share in the investment amounts among the renewable energy business. So, in this study, one wind farm project was selected and supposed to be invested in China, USA, Germany and UK at the same time and the effect of electricity price, corporate income tax, inflation rate and interest rate of debt were analyzed. The result showed that investing in Germany is most profitable because of the highest electricity price and electricity price and debt interest rate are the most sensitive factors for IRR. This approach would be helpful to make decisions in investing foreign wind power projects.
Purpose: The globalization of the Korean restaurant franchise industry differs from the business performance of enhancing the brand image and customers' intention to revisit depending on the degree of localization marketing. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the extent to which the localization marketing activities of overseas Korean restaurant franchise companies affect the customer's perception. This study aims to investigate the effects of localization marketing (Localized Menu, Localized Price, Localized Service Experience, Localized Promotion, Localized Physical Environment) of Korean restaurant franchise companies on customer revisit intention. Research design, data, and methodology: For this study, 150 questionnaires using local Korean restaurants in Beijing, China, were analyzed using SPSS Ver.21 and AMOS Ver.22. Result: It was confirmed that the localized menu, localized service experience, and localized physical environment all affect the intention to revisit customers. Based on these verification results, if overseas franchises fully recognize localization marketing, which is an important factor for local business success, and establish localization strategies, they can gain an edge in competition with local Korean restaurants or restaurant franchises founded by locals. There may be a higher probability that However, it was found that localization price and localization promotion had no mediating effect of brand image between revisit intention and revisit intention. It was found that it had no effect on the degree of inquiry and had a negative effect. Conclusions: Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been many changes in the domestic and overseas food service industry over the past two years. Therefore, in future research, it is necessary to study the localization of overseas Korean restaurant franchise companies that are more multidimensionally subdivided. Various measures of customized localization marketing for optimal regional characteristics should be developed and applied to enhance customer revisiting and brand image of Korean restaurant franchise companies entering overseas. In the future, this study will be meaningful data for the establishment of localization marketing (Localized Menu, Localized Price, Localized Service Experience, Localized Promotion, Localized Physical Environment) strategies for Korean restaurant franchise companies that consider overseas expansion or have already entered.
