중국투자에 왕도는 없다 - 중국진출 현황 및 전망, 중국진출시 유의사항

  • 우리나라의 중국투자는 중소기업이 주류를 이루며 현재 중국총투자중 건수로는 68.8%, 금액으로는 53.9%를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 신규이전을 계획하고 있는 기업들은 이전 시기에 대해 3년 이후 추진 76.3%, 2~3년내 추진 18.1%, 1년내 추진 0.6%로 응답해 앞으로 2~3년후에 기업들의 해외이전이 본격화될 것으로 전망된다.

  • 본 인구에서는 5개의 국내 SW기업들의 사례를 활용하여 해외진출 노력을 분석한다. 국제신생벤처 이론 ((INU theory; International New Venture theory) 관점에서 중국시장 진출에서 발생하는 독특한 해외 진출 장애구간 즉 캐즘 (chasm)의 극복 방식과 기업의 성과와의 관계를 살펴본다. 특히 시장선점 (MS) 전락과 고객동반 진출 (CF) 전략에 따른 핵심역량과 지식 및 네트워크 구축 빙식의 차이와 외진출성과 차이와의 관계를 도출한다. 사례분석 결과 캐즘을 극복할 기업들은 진출 후 자식의 획득, 네트워크의 구축 면에서 정보를 내재화 (internationalization)하는 방식을 가지고 있음을 밝혔다.

  • 중국의 전력산업 구조는 이전의 국가전력공사라는 통합적인 구조에서 현재는 송배전, 발전, 지원 업체로 구성되어 있다. 송배전 분야와는 달리 발전분야의 경우에는 민간 및 외국자본의 참여가 허용되어 향후 중국진출기업들은 발전분야에 한해서 진출이 가능할 것이다. 또 한, 향후에는 원자력 발전의 비중 증가가 예상됨에 따라 원자력 발전 분야의 진출이 긍정적으로 평가된다. 국내 기업의 경우 중국에 원자로수출 협약을 체결하였는데, 이를 시발점으로 하여 향후 국내의 다른 전력 관련기업의 중국진출의 가능성 또한 높다고 사료된다.

Alternatives for Entering into the Chinese Market by Smaller-Sized Korean Logistics Enterprises (우리나라 중소물류기업의 중국진출 활성화 방안)

  • The growth of Chinese logistics market has brought many logistics enterprises enter into the chinese market. The purpose of this study is to suggest some alternatives for activating enter into chinese market for smaller-sized korean logistics enterprise. First of all, in order to achieve such a purpose, factors for activation through literature survey and previous studies are analyzed. After that, questionnaire survey are carried out. Also factor analysis and reliability test based on the questionnaire results are performed. Main findings are suggested as followings. First, in order to activate entering the chinese market, it is drawn out that possessing of logistics infrastructure and understanding of culture of chinese relationship are most important. Second, market information and reform of management system, inspection and customs clearance are suggested as less important.

  • This study aimed at exploring the primary motivations in the behavior of MNCs' setting up R&D Labs in China, four main subjective motivations were founded. R&D Labs consisted of the following four types: local market support Labs, local technology support Labs, global technology center, and internationally interdependent Labs.he choices of the R&D Lab type features are different because of the various R&D investment motivations. Provided that MNCs' investment motivations in China are in order to obtain Chinese markets and customers, local market support Labs are supposed to be chosen so as to support Chinese markets; provided that investment motivations are in order to gain talents and science and technology resources, global technology centers are supposed to be used to achieve the highest synergy result; provided that investment motivations win an absolute competitive advantage in China, local market support Labs are extremely necessary in preoccupying markets; last but not the least, provided that investment motivations are environmental owing to their instability, local technology support Labs are a good choice for their relatively low R&D expenses.

  • Since diplomatic relations with China in 1992, many Korean companies have entered into China and that expansion is currently continuing. But now, many of Korean enterprises tend to withdraw and return to the domestic, this is because that major factors are too much fast increasing in labor costs and the difficulty of local workforce management. In this study, it is researched that the type of human resource management of Korean firms entering into Heilongjiang Province, Harbin and the similarities and differences were investigated by comparing the form of personnel management of existing areas and Harbin area, and then this study was conducted the survey and interview of domestic companies operating in Harbin, to pursuit the efficient way to manage the workforce development and management strategies. The result of researches and workforce development strategies of entering firms are as follows; First, it is required to establish a human resource discovery system for entering companies in focusing on managerial work ability and on blue-collar which is separated by professional and technical experts and a simple blue-collar people. Second, it is required to entering companies that they have to grow up the promotion and exchange of the Department of Korean Studies in Harbin and have to build the industry and universities training programs to promote needed experts, and have to establish the expert pool systems to support the flexible labor supply.

Exploring on 'Go Global' Barriers of Chinese Inner Mongolia Cashmere POEs (중국 내몽고 캐시미어 민영기업의 해외시장 진출 장벽에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study explores the barrier factors of Chinese private-owned enterprises in overseas expansion in terms of corruption, political risk, market fluctuation, cultural difference, and firms resource endowments. To explore the existing practical backgrounds, it was investigated to private-owned enterprises dealing with foreign export companies where run business in Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. The result shows that the corruption and political risks of host countries do not have significant influence on business performance in 'Go global' strategy, while the market fluctuation of host countries has a negative effect on business performance. Cultural difference has a negative effect on business performance, and enterprises' resource endowments have a positive effect on business performance in 'Go global' strategy. Additionally, interviewees provide several substantial suggestions regarding the government policy and industry ecosystem to surmount the barriers of POEs' going global. Lastly, the authors discuss managerial implications and provide several suggestions for the future studies.

  • A This study was conducted to identify the advancement of Chinese industry and the strategy of advancing Korean companies into China. According to the results of the study, it is very important for Korean companies to adapt themselves to Chinese circumstances. The development of Chinese industry can be a threat to Korean companies, but it can also be an opportunity to Korean companies. It's up to Korean companies' correspondence strategy. The best strategy of Korean companies on the advancement of Chinese industry is development a blue ocean strategy.

An Entry Strategies on the Western China of Korean Logistics Corporations (한국물류기업의 중국서부지역 진출 전략)

  • The Korea-China FTA and China's huge development policy for its western regions could create a strategic opportunity for Korean Companies. This study suggests a strategy for expanding the domestic activities of Korean logistics Corporations and supporting the activities of Korean Companies operating in China. Using surveys of 32 Korean Logistics Corporations, important factors to consider when expanding into western China were analyzed. The results identified factors in the order of government, local markets, strategy, infrastructure, and finance and budget. The "development of Chinese Logistics specialists," "economic cooperation with the local governments of western China," and "holding investment Fairs and exhibitions" were important government-related factors. "Understanding entry permits and procedures for logistics corporations in China" and "understanding the logistics system of western China" were also shown to be important factors. Furthermore, governmental factors were suggested to be significant by large, medium-sized, and small businesses alike, while the factor of local markets was suggested to be significant by small-scale businesses.
