Vibration Analysis of Combined Deck Structure-Car System of Car Carriers (자동차운반선(自動車運搬船)의 갑판-차량(甲板-車輛) 연성계(聯成系)의 진동해석(振動解析))

  • The combined deckstructure-car system of a car carrier is especially sensitive to hull girder vibrations due to mechanical excitations and wave loads. For the free and forced vibration analysis of the system, the analytical methods based on the receptance method and two schemes for efficient applications of the methods are presented. The methods are especially relevant to dynamical reanalysis of the system subject to design modification or to dynamic optimization. The deck-car system is modelled as a combined system consisting of a stiffened plate representing deck, primary structure, and attached subsystems such as pillars, additional stiffeners and damped spring-mass systems representing cars/trucks. For response calculations of the system subjected to displacement excitations along the boundaries, the support displacement transfer ratio conceptually similar to the receptance is introduced. For the verification of accuracy and calculation efficiency of the proposed methods, numerical and experimental investigations are carried out.

Fundamental Properties of Asphalt Concrete Mixture as Using TDF Fly Ash as Mineral Filler (아스팔트 콘크리트 채움재로 TDF Fly Ash 적용에 따른 아스팔트 혼합물 기초 물성 평가)

  • TDF (Tire derived fuel) Fly ash is an industrial by-product when scraped tire was used a fuel source at the power plant. TDF Fly ash has been classified as domestic waste at the workplace so far and has not been appropriately utilized. We conducted a fundamental physical property test of asphalt mixture to investigate the possibility of using TDF Fly ash as a mineral filler of asphalt mixture for exploring new usage strategies. TDF Fly ash meets KS F 3501 asphalt mixture mineral filler criteria. And the optimal asphalt binder amount was determined to be 4.5% by Marshall design. Mineral filler content was determined at 3% and analyzed by comparing using mineral filler as stone powder. The basic physical property test of the asphalt mixture was evaluated to the provision indicated in "Production and Construction Guidelines for Asphalt Mixture" published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. In the test, Marshall stability test, dynamic immersion test, tensile strength ratio test, wheel tracking test were carried out. As a result of the experiment, Marshall stability and dynamic stability satisfied the standards, and confirmed the stability and Dynamic immersion and tensile strength ratio test that TDF Fly ash is more effective for scaling and moisture resistance than stone dust. Therefore, in this research, it is expected that multilateral utilization of TDF Fly ash, and a positive effect can be also expected.

  • 한국인(韓國人)의 기초대사량(基礎代謝量)과 1일소비열량(日消費熱量)을 측정(測定)하기 위하여 Douglas씨(氏) ${\ulcorner}$${\lrcorner}$과 Scholander씨(氏) ${\ulcorner}$가스${\lrcorner}$ 분석기(分析器)를 사용(使用)하여 넓은 연령(年齡), 직종(職種), 활동(活動)의 영역(領域)에 긍(亘)하여 실험(實驗)을 행(行)하였다. 938 예(例)의 기초대사측정치(基礎代謝測定値)는 Boothby, Fleish, Robertson and Reid 등(等)의 표준치(標準値)와 근사(近似)하였다. 겨울에는 기초대사량(基礎代謝量)은 9.9%의 증가(增加)를 또한 수면중(睡眠中)의 대사량(代射量)은 기초대사량(基礎代謝量)의 약(約) 94%이었다. 또한 Sanborn Metabulator를 사용(使用)하여 1,000 명(名) 이상(以上)의 기초대사량(基礎代謝量)을 측정(測定)하였다. 또한 여러 가지 동작(動作) 활동중(活動中)의 소비열량(消費熱量)이 측정(測定)되었다. 하루의 전소비열량(全消費熱量)은 $3{\sim}7$일간(日間)에 긍(亘)하여 하루 24시간(時間)의 활동상황(活動狀況)을 분단위(分單位)로 기록(紀錄), 집계(集計)하고 이것과 기초대사량(基礎代謝量) 및 개별활동시(個別活動時)의 소비열량(消費熱量)을 참작(參酌), 계산(計算)하였다. 수면중(睡眠中)의 소비열량(消費熱量)은 기초대사량(基礎代謝量)에 준(準)하였는데 사무원(事務員), 교원(敎員), 의사(醫師), 약사(藥師), 점원(店員), 운전수(運轉手), 건축기사(建築技師), 설계사(設計師), 응원사(應園師), 목공(木工), ${\ulcorner}$펜기${\lrcorner}$ 공등(工等)의 1일소비열량(日消費熱量)은 FAO 한국협회책정(韓國協會策定)의 한국인(韓國人) ${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$에 근사(近似)하였고 ${\ulcorner}$${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$웨이터${\lrcorner}$, 농부(農夫), 사공(士工), 기계공(機械工), 석공(石工)은 중등정도(中等程度)의 노동(勞動)의 3,000 ${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$나 또는 중(重)한 노동(勞動)의 3,900 ${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$에, 가정주부(家政主婦), 하녀(下女), ${\ulcorner}$디자이너${\lrcorner}$는 여자(女子)의 중등정도(中等程度) 노동(勞動)의 2,200 ${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$, 간호원(看護員), 청소부(淸掃婦), ${\ulcorner}$${\lrcorner}$ 방(房)바닥연마공(硏磨工)은 중(重)한 노동(勞動)의 2,800${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$에 모심기 하는 날의 농부(農夫)는 격심(激甚)한 노동(勞動)의 4,100${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$에 각각(各各) 가까웠다. 여자(女子)일지라도 포제용(鋪製用) 돌까기와 돌날르기는 남자(男子)의 중노동정도(重勞動程度)의 ${\ulcorner}$칼로리${\lrcorner}$를 소비(消費)하였다.

Motion Estimation and Mode Decision Algorithm for Very Low-complexity H.264/AVC Video Encoder (초저복잡도 H.264 부호기의 움직임 추정 및 모드 결정 알고리즘)

  • The H.264 has been adopted as the video codec for various multimedia services such as DMB and next-generation DVD because of its superior coding performance. However, the reference codec of the standard, the joint model (JM) contains quite a few algorithms which are too complex to be used for the resource-constraint embedded environment. This paper introduces very low-complexity H.264 encoding algorithm which is applicable for the embedded environment. The proposed algorithm was realized by restricting some coding tools on the basis that it should not cause too severe degradation of RD-performance and adding a few early termination and bypass conditions during the motion estimation and mode decision process. In case of encoding of 7.5fps QCIF sequence with 64kbpswith the proposed algorithm, the encoder yields worse PSNRs by 0.4 dB than the standard JM, but requires only $15\%$ of computational complexity and lowers the required memory and power consumption drastically. By porting the proposed H.264 codec into the PDA with Intel PXA255 Processor, we verified the feasibility of the H.264 based MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) on PDA.

  • 우리가 소비하는 식량의 확보는 단위 수량의 증대 뿐만 아니라, 생산이후 수확, 조제가공 및 건조 저장과정에서의 곡물 손실 방지 또는 감소로 인한 간접 증산으로도 이룩될 수 있는데, 현재 우리나라에서는 수확 이후의 곡물 손실량이 전체 생산량의 약 11%에 달하는 것으로 추정되고 있다(12). 여기서 식량의 중요 손실원으로 기계적 원인과 곡물 자체의 특성에 의한 두가지 요인을 고려할 수 있다. 따라서 쌀의 물리적 특성이 규명되면 각 과정에서 발생되는 기계적 손실을 더욱 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 지금까지 우리나라에서는 벼의 물리적 특성에 관한 연구가 거의 없는 실정이다. 특히 우리나라에 많이 보급되고 있는 통일계 품종은 관행 품종에 비하여 물리적 특성이 크게 다르다고 인정되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 벼와 현미의 특성을 기계적 및 유동학적 측면에서 함수율 및 품종별로 규명하여, 농업기계의 설계 및 작동조건, 그리고, 조제가공의 기초적 자료로 제시하고자 하였다. 실험 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 준 정하중의 압축시험에서 함수율은 벼와 현미의 기계적 및 유동학적 특성에 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 특히 높은 함수율에서는 점성적인 특성이, 낮은 함수율에서는 탄성적인 특성이 나타났다. 2. 벼와 현미의 함수율이 24-12% (습량기준)의 범위에 있을 때 현미의 항복점은 2.0-7.2kg, 벼의 항복점은 2.5-7.6kg을 나타냈으며, 전반적으로 현미보다 벼의 항복점이 0.5-1kg 더 높았다. 또한 함수율이 18%(습량기준) 이하에서는 일반계 품종이 통일계 품종보다 압축 강도가 더 높았으나 18% 이상의 높은 함수율에서는 더 낮게 나타났다. 그리고 낮은 함수율에서 현미의 항복점은 현미 두께 대 길이의 비의 증가에 따라 직선적으로 감소하였다. 3. 현미의 최대압축 강도는 함수율 24-12%(습량기준)의 범위에서 2.94-10.4kg을 나타냈으며, 14% 수준의 낮은 함수율에서는 현미의 최대 압축 강도는 5.66-11.4kg으로 품종간에 높은 유의성이 있었다. 따라서 벼와 현미의 크기가 최대 압축 강도에 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 사료된다. 4. 함수율 12-24%(습량기준)의 범위에서, 현미의 항복점에서 변형은 0.20-0.40mm를 나타냈으며, 함수율이 약 17%일 때 최소치를 보였다. 벼의 항복점에서 변형은 0.20-0.41mm 였으며 통일계 품종이 일반계 품종보다 변형이 더 많이 생겼다. 5. 함수율 24-12%(습량기준)의 범위에서, 일반계 품종의 레질리언스(resilience)는 $0.142-0.603kg{\cdot}mm$, 통일계 품종의 레질리언스는 $0.229-0.601kg{\cdot}mm$로 나타났다. 함수율이 19% 이하에서는 일반계 품종이 통일계 품종보다 더 높게 나타났으며 19% 이상에서는 반대 현상이 일어났다. 또한 14%의 낮은 함수율에서, 현미의 레질리언스는 현미 두께 대 길이의 비의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 벼의 레질리언스는 함수율의 감소에 따라 증가했으며, 그 범위는 $0.285-0.850kg{\cdot}mm$이었다. 6. 현미의 터프니스(toughness)는 함수율 24-12%(습량기준)의 범위에서 $0.841-2.795kg{\cdot}mm$이었다. 또한 일반계 품종과 통일계 품종 사이에는 유의성이 없었으나. 품종간에는 높은 유의성이 있었다. 7. 현미의 탄성계수와 스티프니스(stiffness)는 함수율의 감소에 따라 직선적으로 증가하였다. 현미의 함수율이 24-12%(습량기준)의 범위에 있을 때 탄성계수는 $7-40kg/mm^2$, 스티프니스는 8-34kg/mm를 나타냈다.

  • The environment of web service has changed a great deal due to the progress of internet technology and positive participation of users. The established web service is static and passive, but the recent web service is becoming dynamic and active. Web 2.0 reflects current web service change well. The primary feature of web 2.0 is positive participation of users. Since the size of generated information is becoming larger, it is highly required to share the information fast and correctly. The technology to satisfy this need is web syndication and tagging in web 2.0. The web syndication makes feeds for another site or users to receive the content of web site. In addition, the tagging is the kernel of a information. Many internet users share rapidly the information through tag search. In this paper, we propose the efficient technique to improve the web 2.0 technology such as web syndication and tagging by using the data collection engine. Data collection engine has stored in a database, a user's Web site to use the information. and it has a user's Web site with access to updated data to collect. The experimental results show that our approach can improve the search speed up to 3.14 times better than the existing method and reduce the size of data up to 66% for building associated tags.

Application of CSP Filter to Differentiate EEG Output with Variation of Muscle Activity in the Left and Right Arms (좌우 양팔의 근육 활성도 변화에 따른 EEG 출력 구분을 위한 CSP 필터의 적용)

  • Through the output of brain waves during muscle operation, this paper checks whether it is possible to find characteristic vectors of brain waves that are capable of dividing left and right movements by extracting brain waves in specific areas of muscle signal output that include the motion of the left and right muscles or the will of the user within EEG signals, where uncertainties exist considerably. A typical surface EMG and noninvasive brain wave extraction method does not exist to distinguish whether the signal is a motion through the degree of ionization by internal neurotransmitter and the magnitude of electrical conductivity. In the case of joint and motor control through normal robot control systems or electrical signals, signals that can be controlled by the transmission and feedback control of specific signals can be identified. However, the human body lacks evidence to find the exact protocols between the brain and the muscles. Therefore, in this paper, efficiency is verified by utilizing the results of application of CSP (Common Spatial Pattern) filter to verify that the left-hand and right-hand signals can be extracted through brainwave analysis when the subject's behavior is performed. In addition, we propose ways to obtain data through experimental design for verification, to verify the change in results with or without filter application, and to increase the accuracy of the classification.

Evaluation of Adhesive Performance of Surface Finishing Material with Primer Based on Silane (실란계 프라이머를 활용한 바닥 마감재 부착성능 평가)

  • The experimental research was conducted to evaluate the adhesive performance of surface finishing material with primer based on silane(primer). For this purpose, concrete specimens with compressive strength of 18, 30, 50 MPa were made and cured in water condition ($20{\pm}2^{\circ}C$) for 28 days. A primer was applied on the age of 28 days and evaluated according to based on the curing age of the surface finishing material. Moreover, the mortar specimen also made and tested as per KS F 4937 for compared with concrete-based test results. Test results indicated that the adhesive strength of specimens with primer exhibit similar than that of specimens without primer. Also, the adhesive performance improved with increasing in curing age and compressive strength. The correlation between compressive and adhesive strength of mortar and concrete specimens showed similar trend. It was noted that there is no significant effects of primer on adhesive performance of surface finishing material, thus use of primer has superior potential for solving durability problem of concrete slab surface.

Development of Optical Molecular Imaging System for the Acquisition of Bioluminescence Signals from Small Animals (소동물 발광영상 측정을 위한 광학분자영상기기의 개발)

  • Purpose: Optical imaging is providing great advance and improvement in genetic and molecular imaging of animals and humans. Optical imaging system consists of optical imaging devices, which carry out major function for monitoring, tracing, and imaging in most of molecular in-vivo researches. In bio-luminescent imaging, small animals containing luciferase gene locally irradiate light, and emitted photons transmitted through skin of the small animals are imaged by using a high sensitive charged coupled device (CCD) camera. In this paper, we introduced optical imaging system for the image acquisition of bio-luminescent signals emitted from small animals. Materials and Methods: In the system, Nikon lens and four LED light sources were mounted at the inside of a dark box. A cooled CCD camera equipped with a control module was used. Results: We tested the performance of the optical imaging system using effendorf tube and light emitting bacteria which injected intravenously into CT26 tumor bearing nude mouse. The performance of implemented optical imaging system for bio-luminescence imaging was demonstrated and the feasibility of the system in small animal imaging application was proved. Conclusion: We anticipate this system could be a useful tool for the molecular imaging of small animals adaptable for various experimental conditions in future.

Design of Head Blood Pressure(HBP) Measurement System and Correlativity Extraction of Blood Pressure(BP) and HBP (두부혈압 측정 시스템의 설계 및 두부혈압과 상완혈압과의 상관성 추출)

  • Various adult diseases (cerebral apoplexy, athymiait, etc.) result from hypertension, blood circulation disturbance and increment of HBP. In early diagnosis of these diseases, MRI, X-ray and PET have been used rather aim for treatment than for a prevention of disease. Since. cerebral apoplexy and athymiait could appear to the regular/irregular persons, it is very important to measure HBP which has connection with cerebral blood flow state. HBP has more diagnosis elements than that of BP. So, we can diagnose accurate hypertension by measuring of HBP. But, existing sphygmomanometers and automatic BP monitors can not measure HBP, and can not execute complex function(measuring of BP/HBP, blood flow improvement). Purpose of this paper is to develop a system and algorithm which can measure BP/HBP for accurate diagnosis. Also, we extracted diagnosis factors by correlativity analysis of BP/HBP. Maximum pressure of HBP corresponds to 62% that of BP, Minimum pressure of HBP corresponds to 46% that of BP. Therefore, we developed the multi-function automatic blood pressure monitor which can measure BP/HBP and improve cerebral blood flow state.
