Study on Multiple Shock Wave Structures in Supersonic Internal Flow (초음속 내부유동에서 다수의 충격파 구조에 대한 연구)

  • The structure and dynamics of multiple shock waves are studied numerically using a finite volume solver for a model with nozzle exit Mach number of 1.75. At first, the shock variation based on images were analyzed using a Matlab program then later to the wall static pressure variation. The amplitude and frequency variation for multiple shock waves are analyzed. The cross-correlation between the shock location suggests that the first and the second shocks are well correlated while the other shocks show a phase lag in the oscillation characteristics. The rms values of pressure fluctuations are maximum at the shock locations while the other parts in the flow exhibit a lower value os standard deviation.

Development of Analysis Code for Evaluation of Acoustic Stability of Rocket Engine Combustor with Various Designs (로켓엔진 연소기 설계의 음향안정성 평가를 위한 해석코드 개발)

  • In this study, a three-dimensional finite-element analysis code has been developed to predict acoustic behaviors in rocket combustion chambers and to quantitatively evaluate acoustic stability margins for various designs with passive stabilization devices such as baffle and acoustic resonators. As a validation case, computations are made for combustion chambers with/without a hub-and-six-blade baffle which are developed in the KSR-III Development Program. Compared with experimental results from ambient acoustic test, the numerical approach reasonably well predicts acoustic pressure responses to acoustic oscillation excitation for both unbaffled and baffled combustion chambers and yields quantitatively good agreement for acoustic damping effects of baffle installation in terms of damping factor ratio and resonant frequency shift.

Digital Image Watermarking using Subband Correlation Wavelet Domain (웨이블릿 영역의 부대역 상관도를 이용한 디지털 영상 워터마킹)

  • The watermarking is the technique that embeds or extracts the certain data without the change of the original data for the copyright protection of the multimedia contents. Watermark-embedded contents must not be distinguished by human's eye and must be robust to the various image processing and the intentional distortions. In this paper, we propose a new watermarking technique applied in the wavelet domain which has both the spatial and frequency information of a image. For both the robustness and the invisibility, the positions for embedding the watermark is selected with the multi-threshold. We search the similarity between highly correlated coefficients in the each subband and decide the mark space after verifying the significance in the specified subband. The similarity is represented by the coefficient difference between the subbands and its distribution is used in the watermark embedding and extracting. The embedded watermark can be extracted without the original image using the relationship of the subbands. By these properties the proposed watermarking algorithm has the invisibility and the robustness to the attacks such as JPEG compression and the general image processing.

Study on the High-Frequency Circuit Modeling of the Conducted-Emission from the Motor Drive System of an Electric Vehicle (전기자동차 모터 구동 시스템의 전도 방출에 관한 고주파 모델링 연구)

  • In this paper, conducted emission from the MDS(Motor Drive System) of a HEV/EV was analyzed using high- frequency circuit modeling in system-level approach. The conducted emission by PWM process can cause RFI(radio- frequency interference) problems in the AM/FM frequency range. In order to mitigate this conducted emission, a high-frequency equivalent circuit model is proposed by analyzing the fundamental circuits, parasitic components in their parts and connections and non-linear characteristics of IGBTs, high-power capacitors, inverters, motors, high-power cables, and bus bars which are composed of the MDS. It is confirmed that the simulated result by the proposed model is well agreed with measured results in spite of a large-scaled analysis in system level. We are looking forward that this approach can be effectively used in the EMC design of HEV/EV.

A Study on Underwater Acoustic Characteristics by Vegetation in River (하천 식생에 따른 수중음향 분석)

  • 하천에서 식생은 하도내 흐름저항과 항력을 증가시켜 유속과 유사이동을 감소시킨다. 유속의 감소로 인해 유사가 퇴적되어 사주 발생이 증가하며 이는 하도 지형변화의 중요한 요인이 된다. 하천내 식생은 하천생물의 서식과 밀접한 관련이 있는 물리적인 서식환경을 변화시키게 된다. 이러한 물리적인 서식환경 변화는 수중음향으로 표현되는 하천의 음환경(Soundscape) 변화로 연결된다. 본 연구는 하천 식생대에서의 수중 음향변화를 식생유무, 수온, 수심에 따라 분석하고 수리학적 특성과의 상관관계를 파악하고자 한다. 실규모 하천 수로에 식생 38 주/$m^2$를 식재하고 1 m정도 성장시킨 후 식생을 완전 침수시켜 $3.2m^3/s$의 유량을 공급하여 유속의 변화와 수중음향을 측정하였다. 오후시간대와 새벽시간대를 이용하여 수온이 다른 조건에서 측정하였고, 수심은 표면 3 cm, 40 cm, 80 cm 깊이에서 각각 측정하였다. 측정지점은 식생구간의 상류지점(A), 식생구간(B), 식생구간의 하류지점(C) 세 곳을 선정하였고, 유속은 micro-ADV, 수중 음향은 Hydrophone을 사용하여 5분간 측정하였다. 측정 주파수 spectrum은 1/3 Octave band로 처리하여 음압을 비교분석하였다. 주파수에 따른 음압을 분석한 결과 측정지점에 관계없이 주로 125 Hz, 315 Hz에서 높게 나타났다. 수심에 따른 음향을 분석한 결과 식생이 없는 상류(A)지점에서는 수중음향의 차이가 크게 나타났으며, 식생지점(B)과 식생이 없는 하류(C)지점에서는 수중음향이 유사하게 나타났다. 이는 식생에 의한 유속의 저하로 인해 흐름이 안정화되어 나타나는 현상으로 판단된다. 수온에 따라서는 식생구간(B)과 하류(C)지점에서 대체로 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 상류(A)지점에서는 수온이 높을 때 음압이 더 크게 나타났다. 이는 온도가 높을수록 소리의 전달속도가 더 빨라지기 때문으로 판단된다. 이처럼 식생의 유무와 수심, 온도에 따라 하천의 수리학적 특성이 달라지고 이에 따른 수중음향도 달라지므로 하천의 물리적 서식환경을 평가하기 위한 인자로 수중음향을 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on the Evaluation of Road Noise Characteristics Using the Tire/pavement Noise Measuring Trailer (도로 소음특성 평가를 위한 HEART CPX Trailer 개발 및 현장 적용성 검증 연구)

  • This study develops the tire/pavement noise measuring trailer that can minimize the effect of various environmental noise and evaluate road noise characteristics without regard to time and spots. As literature reviews, it is examined into road noise characteristics and case studies of various CPX Trailer, and made a development plan of device. Based on these, HEART CPX Trailer is developed and conduct experiments for verification of the semi-anechoic chamber suitability, precision and field application of device. In the result of the experiment for verification of semi-anechoic chamber suitability, we can make sure that it is suitable and reliable among frequency bands. In the test of repetition measurement, we can verify excellent measurement accuracy among speeds and microphone's locations. In case of field tests using HEART CPX Trailer, it is founded that the result is similar to CPB test result carried out by Chung-Ang university in 2003. It can be concluded caused that the effect of environmental noise in and around the road including mechanical noise of a tow car was excluded. This paper confirmed and suggested that HEART CPX Trailer is suitable for evaluation of real road noise characteristics.

Comparative Studies of Perceiving Korean Monosyllabic Digit Words under Different Speech Compression Schemes (음성압축 방식의 변화가 한국어 단음절 숫자 인지기능에 미치는 영향의 비교 연구)

  • The performances of speech compression schemes appeared to be dependent on the response profiles to compressed stimuli and the features of individual languages to some extent. Although these response profiles were critical in comparing various compression outcomes, the related data were limited in number for Korean monosyllabic words. From the previous study, data from PNT (Preserving No Trait) compression was selected as a base set for comparison. In this study, the outcomes from PPT (Preserving Pitch Trait) and PTT (Preserving Time Trait) were analyzed under the same condition. Then, the properties of these three widely used representative compression schemes were quantitatively compared in normal hearing adults (N=20) for controlled Korean quintet digit sets (0 through 9). Results showed that PPT compression scheme exhibited the best perceptual performances for the Korean quintet digit sets in the final outcomes (PPT>PTT>PNT). The compression ratios of 50% performances were estimated as about 20%, 42%, and 44% for PPT, PTT, and PNT, respectively. The data indicated the influences of the salient psychoacoustic features of the three representative compressions on perceiving Korean monosyllabic digit words. This controlled procedure with monosyllabic quintet sets can evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of other compression schemes and may also contribute to diagnosing auditory processing disorders and fitting special hearing aids with compression issues.

Analysis of acoustic emission parameters according to failure of rock specimens (암석시편 파괴에 따른 acoustic emission 특성인자 분석)

  • A monitoring method based on acoustic emission (AE) sensor has been widely used to evaluate the damage of structures in underground rock. The acoustic emission signal generated from cracking in material is analyzed as various acoustic emission parameters in time and frequency domain. To investigate from initial crack generation to final failure of rock material, it is important to understand the characteristics of acoustic emission parameters according to the stress ratio and rock strength. In this study, uniaxial compression tests were performed using very strong and weak rock specimen in order to investigate the acoustic emission parameters when the failure of specimen occurred. In the results of experimental tests, the event, root-mean-square (RMS) voltage, amplitude, and absolute energy of very strong rock specimen were larger than those of the weak rock specimen with an increase of stress ratio. In addition, the acoustic emission parameters related in frequency were more affected by specification (e.g., operation and resonant frequency) of sensors than the stress ratio or rock strength. It is expected that this study may be meaningful for evaluating the damage of underground rock when the health monitoring based on the acoustic emission technique will be performed.

Comparison and Analysis of Speech Signals for Emotion Recognition (감정 인식을 위한 음성신호 비교 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 음성 신호로부터 감정의 특징을 나타내는 요소를 찾아내는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 일반적으로 감정을 인식할 수 있는 요소는 단어, 톤, 음성신호의 피치, 포만트, 그리고 발음 속도 및 음질 등이 있다. 음성을 기반으로 감정을 익히는 방법 중에서 현재 가장 많이 접근하고 있는 방법은 피치에 의한 방법이 있다. 사람의 경우는 주파수 같은 분석 요소보다는 톤과 단어, 빠르기, 음질로 감정을 받아들이게 되는 것이 자연스러운 방법이므로 이러한 요소들이 감정을 분류하는데 중요한 요소로 쓰일 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 감정에 따른 음성의 특징을 추출하기 위해 사람의 감정 중에서 비교적 자주 쓰이는 평상, 기쁨, 화남, 슬픔에 관련된 4가지 감정을 비교 분석하였으며, 인간의 감정에 대한 음성의 특성을 분석한 결과, 강도와 스펙트럼에서 각각의 일관된 결과를 추출할 수 있었고, 이러한 결과에 대한 실험 과정과 최종 결과 및 근거를 제시하였다. 끝으로 실험에 의해 제안한 방법의 유용성을 입증하고자 한다.

  • 최근 에너지 효율에 따른 에너지 관련 통신기술의 스마트화 및 융복합화가 진행되고 있다. 또한 기존에 인터넷망만을 이용한 통신기술 외에 유사시 상황을 위한 전력선 통신 기술 개발이 진행되고 있다. 현재 전력선통신은 변복조 모뎀을 전력선 양단에 연결한 뒤 기존에 사용되는 무선통신기술을 변환하는 형태로 사용되고 있다. 이는 낮은 주파수와 높은 전력을 가지는 전력선 특성에 맞지 않아 전력선 통신에 알맞은 통신기술 개발이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 전력의 부하에 따라 최적의 에너지 효율을 검색하고 이에 따라 통신 방식을 변경하는 방식을 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 전력선 통신에서 규격별 잡음 모델링을 연구하고 이에 따른 통신방식을 연구하였다.
