A rapid assay for interferon based on reduction of cytopathic effect was developed with HEp-2 and Vesicular Stomatitis Virus. The number of manipulations and the lengths of the various incubation steps were reduced to minimum. The assay is simple to perform and can be completed with 22-24 hr. Moreover, it was precise method than CPE-reading method.

The possibility of strain improvement of cellulolytic fungus, Penicillium verruculosum via protoplast fusion was investigated. The cellulolytic activities of the six fusants, finally selected for their hyper-cellulolytics were 2 times of those of wild type and 1.2 to 4.4 times of those parental auxotrophs. It was confirmed that the nuclear fusion occurred in fusants by their DNA contents and nuclear staining with Giemsa. It was also found that the fusants were aneuploids, and their genetic stability was demonstrated from the subculture for four months.

The study investigates weekday/weekend characteristics of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations and meteorological elements in Busan. The $PM_{10}$ concentration is highest on Wednesday and Thursday, and lowest on Sunday. On the other hand, the $PM_{2.5}$ concentration is highest on Wednesday and lowest on Sunday. The location where concentrations of weekdays and weekend differ the most is Hwakjang-dong, the industrial area, and where they differ the least is Gijang-up and Joa-dong, the residential area. Fine particle concentration in the industrial area was consistent at dawn and in the morning, but varied in the afternoon and at night. The visibility of Sunday was 0.49 km higher than that of weekdays, and the solar radiation of Sunday was $0.11MJ/m^2$ higher than that of weekdays. These results indicate that the concentration of fine particles had influence on the change of visibility and solar radiation.

사람들이나 동물의 소화관의 상재균으로서 중요한 Lactobacillus acidophilus의 여러균주를 사용하여 세포표면의 성상을 조사하였다. 불리한 세포벽의 negative 염색한 표본을 전자현미경으로 검토한 결과 사용한 21주중 15주는 세포벽외층에 단백질로 구성딘 regular array를 생산하고 있음을 알았다. RA를 구성하는 단백질의 분자량은 41KDa-48KDa이었다 아미노사노성 및 Staphylococcus au-reus V8 protease로 한정분해 후 및 N-chlorosuccini-mide로 부분절단후의 peptide map에서 Johnson등의 분류의 subgroup A-1에 속하는 균주가 생산하는 RA단백질은 불균질하였으나 그외 균주의 RA단백질은 같은 subgroup에 속하고 있어도 불균질하였음을 알았다 따라서 RA단백질은 불균질하였으나 그외 균주의 RA단백질은 같은 subgroup에 속하고 있어도 불균질하였음을 알았다 따라서 RA생산의 유무 및 RA단백질의 분자량측정과 peptide mapping을 행하면 지금까지 행해온 DNA-hybridization과 같은 복잡한 절차를 사용하지 않아도 subgroup A-1의 L. acidophilus가 동정 가능함을 알았다 L acidophilus의 세포표면소수성은 일반적으로 RA를 생산하지 않는 균주보다는 RA를 생사하는 균주에 높은 것이많았다 RA생산균주에 있어서는 RA단백질은 세포표면소수성과 직접관계하고 있는 것은 적었다.

This paper investigated the impacts of theme, genre, and existence of originals on the number of visitors of children performance. Especially, we focused on the interaction effect of school periods with these variables. Using 954 performance data between 2010-2011 at Fantasia Theater run by Bucheon Culture Foundation, we found that entertaining performance, musical performance, and performance with existing originals had more visitors than others. Also, these impacts strongly existed during school periods. In result, this study found that school period should be considered seriously for the success of children performance.

As a part of the investigation on useful compounds from microalgae, and its recently that marine planktonic algae have been recognized as potial sources of antibacterial and antifungal substances, we searched for antimicrobial active compounds from the extracts of six microalgae-Lyngbya sp., Tetraselmis sp., Microcystis sp., Chlorella sp., Navicula sp. and Rhalassiosira sp.-treated with several solvents. There were two active species-Lyngbya ap., Teraselmis sp.- in the antimicrobial activity test to bacteria, yeast and molds, especially the activity existed in the extracts by ethyl acetate of supernatants to the microalgae incubatio. and there won’t any activity in two diatoms to the test microorganism.

This research is analyzed by the operation frequency of Regional Railroad and the Load Factor on the level of each service based on the Regional railroad ticket sales data on the 2007 fiscal year. Because the Regional Railroad passenger's satisfaction is sensitive of the transportation demand alteration, this research analyzed LOS. In addition to, analyzed the LOS will affect driving patterns of the Regional Railroad.

This study investigates weekday/weekend characteristics of $PM_{10}$ concentration and chemical composition of water-soluble ions in Busan in the spring of 2013. Contribution rate of water-soluble ions to PM10 concentration in weekday/weekend were 41.5% and 38.5%, respectively. Contribution rate of SO_4{^{2-}}$ to total ion mass in weekday/weekend were 30.4% and 33.8%, respectively. Contribution rate of total inorganic water-soluble ions in PM10 in weekday/weekend were 42.2% and 39.1% (mean 41.4%), respectively. $[NO_3{^-}/SO_4{^{2-}}]$ ratio in weekday/weekend were 1.01 and 0.97(mean 0.99), respectively, which indicated that weekday ratio was higher. Contribution rate of sea salts and $Cl^-/Na^+$ ratio in PM10 in weekday/weekend were 8.1% and 7.6%, 0.37% and 0.41%, respectively. This research will help understand chemical composition of water-soluble ions during the weekday/weekend and will be able to measure the contribution level of artificial anthropogenic source on urban air.

Flexible track drilling machines are credited with important applications in the area of aircraft manufacturing because of their portability, quick installation capabilities, and high efficiency. However, their structures are special and the constitution principles and motion characteristics are difficult to control, increasing the development costs and research cycle in the context of the technology blockade of foreign companies. The simulation analysis of flexible track drilling machines can be conducted by applying virtual prototypes, shortening the development cycle and reducing the cost. In this paper, a model of a machine is established by using the SolidWorks software and imported into ADAMS to conduct kinematic and dynamic simulation analysis. During the analysis, the feasibility of the configuration is checked, a reasonable driving motion is chosen, potential deficiencies are found, and improvement actions are raised.

The electricity consumption time series data of 'A' University from July 2016 to June 2017 is analyzed via nonparametric functional data clustering since the time series data can be regarded as realization of continuous functions with dependency structure. We use a Bouveyron and Jacques (Advances in Data Analysis and Classification, 5, 4, 281-300, 2011) method based on model-based functional clustering with an FEM algorithm that assumes a Gaussian distribution on functional principal components. Clusterwise analysis is provided with cluster mean functions, densities and cluster profiles.
