A Study on the P~q~t Charts Applicability for Quality Improvement of Water-Sealing&Reinforcement Grouting in Tunneling Work Underneath the City (도심지 지하 터널시공 중 차수·보강 그라우팅 공사의 품질향상을 위한 P~q~t charts 적용성 연구)

  • This study is for the quality improvement of water-sealing & reinforcement grouting in tunnel of the construction of the underground transportation network underneath the city. Existing tunnel grouting process did not technically utilize P~q~t charts fully. It is due to the absence of technical methods to decide how P~q~t charts change in the presence of trouble and what the change represents in grouting. There were no standards to decide which chart pattern represents which ground characteristics, how to categorize ground types, and how to take measures according to the standards. This paper studies on the grouting type, ground characteristics, ground type categorizing method, and countermeasures for both general and algorithm-processed grouting in soil and rock layer to address the aforementioned problems. Newly improved P~q~t charts from grouting in soil was categorized into six different types. Different characteristics and categorization method was developed for each type. Countermeasures for each type of grouting process were developed so that on-site application can be readily available. Improved P~q~t charts for rock layer also have six different types of grouting. Each type was given the countermeasures for rock layer grouting process for easier applications. Therefore, it is expected to be used through out the entire process of grouting from preparation to the last report of the water-sealing & reinforcement grouting in tunnel of the construction of the underground transportation network underneath the city.

Development of rapidly hardening seal material applicable to steel pipe multistage grouting (강관다단 그라우팅에 적용하는 속경성 실링재 개발)

  • The development of a rapidly hardening seal material applicable to steel pipe multistage grouting is described in this paper. In the multistage technique, seal materials are inserted to prevent the backflow of main grouting material. The grouting material must be inserted only after sufficient time has passed for the seal material to reach a gel state. Otherwise, the fluid seal material mixes with the main grouting material and a backflow of the grouting material occurs, thereby making its in situ insertion difficult. Furthermore, if the seal material remains in the gel state for too long a time, it solidifies; and the main grouting material will not be able to seep into the soil. The gel time, i.e., the time needed for the fluid seal material to turn into a gel state, determines the construction period of steel pipe multistage grouting. The gel time is one of the important factors in this technique, because it impacts the total tunnel construction period significantly. This study develops a rapidly hardening calcium aluminate material, which can reduce the gel time and shorten the construction period while retaining proper sealing function. It also presents a method to determine whether the seal material has reached the gel state as well as the quality standard and bleeding rate testing method for the seal material in the gel state.

  • A test on venturi-type premixer of ASE120 engine combustor has been performed to evaluate its mixing performance. Cold air was supplied into the premixer through the fuel nozzle and mixed with the hot air from the compressor exit. The measured temperature of the mixed air was used to evaluate the mixedness. DOE(Design of Experiment) technique was utilized to make a test matrix of variables and to determine the optimum combination of variables, which was verified through a confirmation test.

시추자료와 순간충격시험의 관련성에 의한 금정산 화강암지역의 수리적 특성

  • 금정산지역의 수리적인 특성을 파악하기 위하여 27개 지하수 공을 대상으로 순간충격시험(주입, 인양시험)을 실시하였다. 순간충격시험자료는 C-B-P법, Hvorslev법, Bouwer & Rice법을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 분석을 위해서는 AQTESOLV(Version 3.01) 소프트웨어를 이용하였다. 또한, 자료의 해석을 위해서 시추자료와 연관하여 해석하였으며, 이때 시추시 용출심도와 수리전도도와의 관련성 분석으로 dummy의 충격과 심도의 관련성을 고찰해 보았다. 순간충격시험 분석결과 얻어진 수리전도도는 7.69E-8 ~ 2.30E-5m/sec를 보인다.

  • 새로운 에너지원으로서의 가스 하이드레이트 개발 연구는 한국에서는 2005년 산업자원부에 의해 가스하이드레이트 개발 연구 사업이 정식으로 출범하면서 활발히 진행되기 시작하였다. 2007년도에 종료된 1단계 연구를 통하여 동해에서 가스 하이드레이트 부존이 확인됨에 따라 2단계에서 부터는 가스하이드레이트 생산 연구가 연구의 중심으로 떠오르게 되었다. 생산 연구는 물성/생산 실험 연구, 전산모사 연구, 해외 현장 시험 생산 연구로 크게 나뉘어 질 수 있는데 현재 한국에서는 물성/생산 실험 연구가 가장 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 이에 따라 보다 체계적이고 계획적인 연구를 위하여 기 실험된 연구를 종합 분석하여 체계적인 실험 결과의 활용과 향후 연구 계획을 하고자 한다. 본 발표에서는 기 실행된 실험 연구를 수행기관, 시료의 크기, 경계조건 등의 실험 규모, 시료의 종류, 하이드레이트 형성 조건, 측정 물성, 채택 생산 기법 등의 실험 내용 등을 종합하여 소개하고자 한다. 1단계에서는 주로 실험실 스케일, 인공 모래 시료, 인공 가스하이드레이트를 이용한 실험연구가 주를 이루었으며 이를 보완하기 위하여 2단계에서는 중규모, 자연시료, 자연 하이드레이트를 이용한 실험연구가 시작되었다. 초기 단계에서 생산 기법으로 감압법, 열수 주입법, 열자극 법, 화학 억제제 주입법, 치환 생상법 등이 연구되었으며 그 결과 감압법을 주 생산 기법으로 하여 열수 주입법, 열자극법, 화학 억제제 주입법 등을 하이드레이트 재생성 억제기법으로 혼합하여 쓰는 하이브리드 기법들이 연구 되었으며 현재 세계적인 수준의 실험 연구 기술 수준을 보유 하고 있는 치환 생산법 연구가 또한 현재까지 활발히 진행되고 있다.

The Influence of Grain Size of Sandy Soil on the Strength and Stiffness of Silicate-Grouted Soil. (사질토의 입경이 물유리계 약액주입권결토에 강도 및 강성에 미치는 영향)

  • One of the main objectives of researches for the chemical grouting is to assess the changes in soil properties caused by injection of chemical grout. Especially the changes in the strength properties of soils, such as elastic modulus, shear modulus of ground due to injection of chemical grout has drawn our attention. Since the specific surface changes with variation in the grain size of sandy soil, the influence of grain size of sandy toil on the strength and stiffness of silicate-grouted soil was investicated in this study by earring out uniaxial and triaxial compression tests. It was found that the strength and stiffness of grouted soil increased as the grain size of sandy soil decreases, the possibility of estimating the strength of grouted soil was confirmed through the study of relationship between specific surface of sandy soil and the strength of chemical gel.

  • According to the lack of resources and the stringency of environmental regulations, a study of the high strength thin plate sheet steels for automobile have been become an important issue for automobile industry. However, the problem of hydrogen embrittlement of high strength sheet steels was concerned with the degradation of mechanical properties. Therefore, we studied the hydrogen behavior of surface layers of 590MPa DP sheet steels on development using by relationship the microstructure of subsurface and the distribution of micro hardnesses. Hydrogen was charged into the specimens using by the cathodic electrolytic method. The behavors of under surface layers were investigated by the observation of microstructures and the micro vickers hardness test with the amount of hydrogen charging with hydrogen charging conditions.

  • During the life firing test of 1 N-class thruster development model, pulse mode performance and performance changes were examined. The deviation of pulse mode response time according to thruster feed pressure was relatively small and the resultant ignition delay, response time, tail-off time were 32-35 ms, 86-91 ms, 89-98 ms, respectively. For the stabilized pulse region the impulse bit revealed the outstanding reproducibility of 1.41, 1.32, 2.10% at $3{\sigma}$. During the life firing test, the impulse bit was decreased with limited amounts, therefore the pulse mode performance could be considered to be maintained. The thrust centroid was also maintained during the life firing test.

  • In order to remove particulate matter, functional construction materials are developed. However, there is no evaluation method and infrastructure for particulate matter removal rate. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to build a particulate matter removal rate test chamber and to present a method for particulate matter removal rate. As a result, since construction materials have effectiveness in an environment where particulate matter is generated, the particulate matter injection step was proposed as a comparison target. The evaluation of the particulate removal rate was proposed by relative comparison of the slope values obtained by linear regression analysis for all concentration values measured in the particulate matter injection step. In linear regression method, all measured values can be evaluated, and the variability can be evaluated with the coefficient of determination (R-square), so that the reliability of the particulate matter removal rate can be secured.

A Study on the Behaviour of Jacket Anchor (자켓앵커 거동특성에 관한 연구)

  • A series of field tests were performed to investigate the behavior of jacket anchor and to evaluate the ultimate bond stress of jacket anchor. From twelve sets of field tests on the jacket anchor and general type ground anchor, it was observed that the pullout resistance of jacket anchor is significantly larger than that of the ground anchor and that the plastic deformation of jacket anchor is significantly smaller than that of general ground anchor at the same loading cycle. Especially in gravel layers, the jacket anchor provides more than 250% increase in ultimate resistance and more than 600% reduction in plastic deformation, compared with the general ground anchor. Finally, the relationship between the injection pressure and overburden pressure is proposed to determine the optimum injection pressure, based on additional field test results.
