Methods: For this study, 19 individuals with acute stroke were recruited. To compare the effectiveness of the VRI and the computer based cognitive intervention(CBCI), Each of the two groups were provided different interventions a 30 minutes a day, 5 times per week for 4 weeks, and to measure the effects of the intervention, the TMT A&B, DST, RKMT and K-MBI were performed before and after interventions. Results: Both the VRI and the CBCI were found to have significantly improved the cognitive function and activities of daily living, and the difference in change compared between groups showed that the effectiveness of the VRI was significantly higher. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, the monitor-based VRI is anticipated to prove useful as an effective intervention for the cognitive function and activities of daily living of stroke patients. Furthermore, the utility of monitor-based VRI is likely to be high in clinical occupational therapy.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how the increased sedentary behavior due to COVID-19 on physical factors to maintain health. The subjects of the study were 33 office women who mainly lead a sedentary behavior. The group settings were divided into high sedentary behavior groups(n=11), middle sedentary behavior groups(n=11), and low sedentary behavior groups(n=11) according to the hours of sitting down living. There was no significant difference between the groups in the VO2max and EPOC, the level of lactate in blood showed a significant difference immediately after exercise(p<.05) and at 15(p<.001) and 20(p<.001) minutes of recovery, and the degree of recovery was more smooth in the low sedentary behavior groups. These results suggest that the difference in time according to the degree of sedentary behavior will affect the factors for maintaining health. Therefore, it is considered necessary to minimize sedentary behavior time even in the COVID-19 situation where the time spent in a personal space increases.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the context of cosumers' lives in Korea with a narrative analysis method. The epistemological orientation of eh narrative analysis is Interpretivism, which blends the two polar philosophical perspectives, Empiricism and Rationalism, and includes Narrotology, Hermeneneutics, Semiotics, and Structural Criticism. Narrative analysis takes as its object of investigation the story itself. This study collects eleven narrative plots from four housewives, into which Labov's structural approach is applied. This study shows clearly that the socio-cultural environment in which consumers live has strong influence on their consumption behavior and also reveals that narrativization tells not only about past actions but how individuals understand those actions, that is, meaning.
