An Analysis on the Visual Harmony of the Environmental Sculpture in Urban Streetscapes (도시가로 경관에 있어 환경조형물의 시각적 조화성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the basic guideline of the environmental sculptures to improve the quality level of the urban surroundings. The concept of the environmental sculptures was established and their roles in urban street scenary were investigated. And then, the relationships between the visual satisfaction and the elements which affect the visual harmony of Urban street scenary were analysed. The result of this study can be summarized as follows; The visual satisfaction was shown high at the sculptures itself with good shape and esthetic sense, and the harmony among the surroundings was estimated highly at the sculptures of good harmony with the floor surface, building and the elements surrounded it. And the highest satisfaction was shown at the scenary with the dean images and visual stability. The correlation of the degree of satisfaction with 5 variables which effect the satisfaction of urban streetscape shows that the harmony of shape is the most important variable for urban street scenary.

  • 본 연구에서는 부산 북항재개발지역 항만시설물을 대상으로 친수성과 경관향상을 위해 경관계획을 실시하였다. 경관수로를 중심으로 방파제, 호안, 등대 등 항만시설물을 대상으로 시민에게 열린 친수공간을 계획하고 주변 녹지 및 수역과 조화되는 경관계획을 실시하였다.

  • 청계천의 경관조명은 하천을 가로지르는 다리 22개를 비롯하여 다양한 경관요소에 대하여 주변경관에 알맞는 경관조명으로 청계천의 특성을 부각시키고 있다. 특히 수변공간의 경관에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 교량의 경관조명이 야간 청계천 경관의 아름다움을 좌우한다고 할 수 있다. 다양한 구조형태 및 특징을 가진 22개의 교량은 특색에 맞는 조명연출로 인지도를 주어 보행자로 하여금 청계천에 대한 방향감 및 공간감을 제공한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 청계천 교량의 경관조명 효과를 분석하는 것이다 이를 위하여 청계천 8개의 교량을 대상으로 휘도, 색온도, 색도분포를 측정하였으며 측정 결과는 다음과 같다. 오피스 지역에 위치해 있는 교량은 배경과 교량의 휘도대비가 시각적으로 명확성이 좋은 것으로 나타났으며 색온도는 차가운 느낌과 따뜻한 느낌의 조명이 조화를 이루며 교량의 온열감을 표현하는 것으로 나타났다. 상업지역에 위치해 있는 교량의 경우 오피스 지역의 교량보다는 휘도대비가 작게 나타났지만 시각적 측면에서는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 색온도는 안정감 있는 느낌을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 주거지역에 위치해 있는 교량의 경우 교량자체의 휘도평균은 낮게 나타나 주변 환경을 고려하여 밝지 않게 조명된 것으로 판단된다. 전체적으로 청계천 교량의 경관조명 특성은 교량의 주변 환경에 따라 다른 효과가 연출된 것으로 나타났다.

  • 도시경관에 있어서 이를 구성하는 시각적 요소로서의 도시시설물, 건축물 등의 주변 환경과의 조화는 도시의 정체성 및 이미지를 결정 짖는다. 현대 서울을 비롯한 국내 대부분의 도시는 난립된 간판과 도시시설물들이 주변 환경과 조화롭지 못하고 지역마다의 고유색이 사라지고 어느 도시나 비슷하게 획일화되어 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라 도시들은 고유의 도시 정체성을 찾아보기 어렵게 되었으며, 세계적 수준에 못 미치는 실정이다. 이러한 문제점이 개선되기 위해서는 장기적인 도시경관디자인 개선이 시급하다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서 국내 도시경관디자인 현황을 파악하고 문제점을 분석함으로써 추후 국내 도시경관의 체계적인 개선방안을 제시하는데 자료로 사용 가능케 한다.

Research on the Visual Historical & Cultural Resources of Seongbuk-dong (서울 성북동 역사문화자원 주변경관의 시각적 특성연구)

  • In this study, Seongbuk-dong historical & cultural resources of the surrounding landscape were analyzed by the visual characteristics of the landscape adjective analysis. Research was investigate to the relationship between visual characteristics and preferences and Research in the following way. Selected historical and cultural resources in the surrounding area are located in Seongbuk-dong 30 slices the survey was conducted. Landscape preference factors to identify the scale of 16 adjectives and then factor analysis was conducted. Lastly, Analysis of variance and regression analysis were conducted in order to determine the impact of the last image factors on visual preferences. Firstly, The results can be summarized as follows. Officer for 30 pictures appear in Seongbuk-dong in the historical and cultural resources, and distributed around the target preference for the 16 adjectives analysis yielded an average result of overall preference were analyzed and that is a 3.72 average. In these photos, VP8, VP9, VP10, VP12, VP15; 4.5 points more than one order higher. The reason is limit of altitude by the Seoul landscape plan for the historical and cultural resources around. It also judged important reason that history and Culture are in harmony with the surrounding cultural property in the conservation area. Secondly, Important factors are factor 1(aesthetic factors), factor 2(cultural factors), factor 3(physical factors) and three factors could be identified. Results of the analysis of variance and regression analysis about factors for visual preference and image shows value of psychological factor is most significant to explain for nearby history &cultural resources of Seongbuk-dong of scenery around. As a result, the state can not view historical and cultural resources for analysis will be located in a residential area near the historical and cultural resources for aesthetic factors. Third, the negative side of the argument is a residential area which is not arranged surrounding landscape maintenance of historical and cultural resources has emerged. Historical and cultural resources in harmony with the phenomena of the physical, cultural, and aesthetic characteristics of the three areas is a positive factor in the high incidence. Factors from that are expressed in this study by analyzing multi-dimensional analysis to derive a factor to be considered important in the management of historical and cultural resources, landscape around is required.

The Effect of Greenspace on School Commuting Routes on Pedestrian Satisfaction and the Future Direction of Creation (학교통학로 녹지가 보행자의 만족도와 조성 방향에 미치는 영향)

  • For this study, 313 pedestrians, including students, from two schools participated in the greening project of the school commuting roads in Seoul. These schools were compared to two without street greenspaces to analyze the effects of the green areas on pedestrian satisfaction and the future direction of creation. As a result of the greenspace satisfaction analysis of schools with greenspace, the items that had the greatest effect on overall satisfaction were 'Width of the sidewalk' (37%), 'Harmony with the surrounding landscape' (24.97%), 'The arrangement of trees, grass, and flowers' (18.30%) and 'Overall management' (10.44%). In other words, the item that satisfies most is securing the appropriate width of the sidewalk where the greenspace is located. It is necessary to re-considered creating greenspaces in existing sidewalk spaces and secure a sidewalk width for pedestrian convenience. As a result of the analysis on the direction of greenspace creation, the respondents who experienced greenspaces through the greenspaces on school commuting routes recognized natural features, such as grass and flowers as more important elements as well as noting that landscape and harmony are important. In addition, respondents interested focusing on functionality recognized the need for greenspaces and highly recognized the importance of arranging natural materials, such as trees, grasses, and flowers. This group also recognized the advantages of functionality and the effectiveness of green spaces. Therefore, it is necessary to expand awareness of the effectiveness of greenspaces through environmental education, publicity, and the provision of information boards. More effort will be needed to apply regional and school characteristics rather than uniform composition to the development of greenspaces.

A Critical Review on Regenerating a Place's Economic Value through Landscape Restructuring: The Case of Dongdaemun Stadium (경관 재구조화에 의한 장소의 경제적 가치 재생에 대한 비판적 검토 -동대문운동장의 사례-)

  • Dongdaemun Stadium was the nation's leading modem sports facilities built in 1926 by Japanese colonists. It hosted a number of the nation's sports matches and cultural performances, filled with cultural and historic significance as a birthplace of Korea's sports. As the facility was aging, however, its functions became limited. With the so-called "restoration" of Cheonggye Stream, the stadium was reduced to a flea market, no longer used for its originally intended purposes. The Seoul Metropolitan Government demolished the stadium under the plan to develop the district into a tourism cluster dedicated to the design and fashion industries. This study takes Dongdaemun Stadium as an example to explain underlying meanings of capitalist restructuring of landscape which entails removal of modern cultural relics and redevelopment projects. Although Dongdaemun Stadium was not used in the way it had been designated to be used, it still had a value as a diachronic and synchronic record for the city. The rationale that the stadium should be tom down and reinvented as tourist attraction to reap huge financial benefits illustrates that the city government's development ideology gravitated towards public works projects. This approach may harm a place's genuine disposition or essence and create an artificially-induced placeness, undermining its historio-cultural values.

Luminous Characteristics of Cheonggyecheon(stream)'s Essential Elements during the Day and the Night (청계천 구성요소에 대한 주.야간 빛환경 분석)

  • 본 연구는 청계천의 구성요소에 대해 경관연출효과를 분석하기 위해 주요구성요소 4곳을 상대로 경관현황을 조사하였다. 도시에서의 빛연출은 도시의 아이덴티티를 형성하고 또한 청계천 같이 6km에 다다른 하천은 관광자원으로써도 활용된다. 따라서 청계천 빛환경을 분석하기 위해 경관에 있어서 조명학적으로 중요한 물리량 평가요소로 휘도, 색도, 색온도를 선정하였다. 디지털 광학 계측기인 Radiant Imaging Prometric 1400에 의해 측정된 휘도, 색도, 색온도 등의 물리량 측정결과 주야간 모두 주변과 조화를 이루고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 휘도대비가 16:1을 넘지 않아 시각적으로도 적절한 것으로 판단됐다. 따라서 청계천 주요수성요소의 경관연출은 주 야간 모두 이용자들에게 안락한 경관을 제공할 것으로 사려된다.

  • By preservation of vegetation landscape in urban park, the uniqueness and attractiveness of a city can be created and maintained. In this study, the CAD simulation of Dwangju Park was implemented, and it was proved that CAD simulation can be used to preserve the vegetation landscape and to regulate the building construction. But, when simulated short range vegetation landscape, such as the position, height and forms of trees, vegetation structure, dtc., are can be important factors. And, the method of suveying and presenting trees in CAD for efficient simulation are need to be sutdied futher.
