  • MascMC system is one of the MMC system module which performs measuring and checking of machined workpieces on the machine tools. Accuracy of the MascMC was compensated for developing a reliable measuring system by measurement error calibration. Reference gauges, ring gauges, block gauges,squares, spheres and cylindrical squares, were used for error identification and compensation. .+-. 10 .mu. m accuracy with 95% confidence interval was confirmed on the vertical and the horizontal machining center through the large number of experiments.

  • Interactive measuring Part Program Generating Tools (IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions of the CNC were developed for intelligent measuring and inspection systems on the machine tools. Machine tools. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executor and ROM writer. In order to automate measurement and inspection procedures in machine shops, measuring G Code system was also proposed. Using the developed measuring G Code system on the machine tool, untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in FMS lines.

  • To improve the accuracy of products and improve the product quality, we need to enhance the machining accuracy of the machine tools. To this point of view, measurement and inspection of finished part as well as error analysis of machine tools has been studied for last several decades. OMM(On the Machine Measurement) has been issued to alternate with CMM, pointing out disadvantages of high expenses and lots of setting time in CMM. In this paper, we study 1) the spherical surface manufacturing by volumetric error compensation of machine tool, 2) the system development of OMM without detaching work piece from a bed of machine tool after working. 3) the generation of the finished part profile by On the machine measurement. Furthermore, the output of OMM is compared with that of CMM, and verified the feasibility of the measurement system.

  • Design methodology of Interactive Measuring Part Program Generating Tools(IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions of the CNC was described in this paper. Measuring G codes were designed according to geometric form, precision attributes, relations between parts, datum hierarchies, and relevant technological data by using measuring arguments. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executor and ROM writer. Using the developed measuring G code system on the machine tool, untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in precision FMS lines.

  • 수치제어(NC: numerical control) 기술은 공장자동화를 위한 중요기술이다. 우리산업현장에 공장 자동화가 확장되면 서 NC 공작기계산업용 로봇, 삼차원 좌표측정기 등의 사용이 매우 증가되고있다. 이러ㅗ한 수치제어용 기계에서는 자동 위치제어를 위하여 길이변위와 회전각도감지용센서인 NC 엔코더가 매우 중요한 부품이다. NC 엔코더에는 선형 엔코더( NC-스케일)와 회전 엔코더가 있으며, 각각 직선운동과 회전운동을 제어하기위해서 필요한 자동화 부품이다. 선형 엔코 더는 직선운동의 변위를 감지하며 NC-스케일 이라고도 말한다. 우리 나라에서는 아직 엔코더 제작기술을 개발하지 못하여 전량수입에의존하고 있다. 이러한 NC 엔코더의 수요는 해외시장뿐만 아니라 국내시장에서도 급격히 증가 되고있으며 국산화 개발이 시급하다. 이 글에서는 NC-스케일 제조기술을 개발함에있어서 연구하였던 참조위치 마크(Rrference Mark)설계 기술을 정리한다.

힘 센서를 이용한 CMM용 프로브 개발을 위한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the CMM Probe using Force-Sensor)

  • In this paper, a mechanical probe for CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) with a three-axis force-sensing unit is proposed, which is capable of measuring an actual contact position without the lobbing effect and the pre-travel error. The force-sensing unit detects the external force, which is act on the stylus of CMM during the measuring process. Thus, the contact point of the stylus of CMM can be estimated ken the direction of measured force components. Based on the structural analysis of the proposed CMM probe, the transformation matrix is derived and calibrated so that it shows linear relationships between the estimated force components from the output voltages and the real input forces. And, the relationships are verified through the computer simulation. The results show that the proposed mechanical probe is very useful fur detecting the contacting force components on measuring process of CMM.

  • A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a computer-controlled measuring device that uses a probe to obtain measurements on a manufactured part's surface. CMM's have been very popular over traditional hard gauges due to their flexibility, accuracy, and ease of automated inspection. This paper considers the use of a CMM for the inspection of gears. We compare the inspection capability of a CMM and that of a gear-specific measuring machine. The result of this paper may benefit gear manufacturing companies in their dimensional quality assurance activities, especially for special type gears and for large-scale gears which are not measurable by gear-specific measuring machines.

  • 개인용 단말기 디스플레이 상의 광고물 객체의 기준점 설정하여 좌표 값, 색상 값을 받은 후 그 정보를 기반으로 광고물의 경계선을 추출한다. 경계선에서 추출된 4 모서리의 좌표와 거리 측정기를 통하여 측정한 거리 값을 통해 여러 위치에서도 광고물의 면적을 측정하는 시스템을 구현한다.

케이블센서를 이용한 2차원 위치측정 시스템 (A Two-Dimensional Position Sensor Using Cable Extension Transducers)

  • Based on the cable-extension transducers, a new technique for two dimensional position measurement is developed in this paper. This new technique includes the use of two such transducers and the planar position is determined through triangulation. This paper also presents uncertainty analysis results for establishing sensor design specifications. An actual prototyped sensor system is built and its accuracy is verified through h\both experiments with coordinate measurement machines and its application to the real-time control of a high load wheeled mobile robot. This new type of position sensor can be easily used in a wide variety of automation applications in industry for two dimensional position measurements with high accuracy over a relatively large range, and it is both cast effective and robust against hostile environments.

  • High rigidity of structure is required to obtain its accuracy and performance in a coordinates measuring machine(CMM). Modeling of bridge column of a CMM is introduced and the unit-load method by the principle of virtual work is suggested to analyze deflections of bridge column which is designed for high rigidity. Also design of porous air bearings of each moving axis is introduced to satisfy the loading conditions.
