Using a sample of 220 employees in small and medium sized companies in Chungcheong and Gyeonggi provinces, we proposed that the companies' organizational communication on safety issues will positively influence employees' safety compliance and participation. And also, the companies' organizational communication will negatively influence the frequency of industrial accidents. The results of this study supported the hypotheses, implying that the frequency of industrial accidents will be decreasing if the company officially communicates with its employees in terms of the safety issues.

Of great importance in food safety culture are the values of an organization regarding food safety that combine the human and material requirements needed to produce safe and hygienic foods. In recent years, efforts have been made to improve the level of implementation of food safety management systems by improving certain cultural elements of food safety. This study investigated the current state of food safety culture in the HMR manufacturing sector. An anonymous survey of 46 HMR manufacturers of various sizes was conducted to evaluate the implementation status of HACCP prerequisite program and food safety culture. The perceived importance of food safety culture factors and their performance were also surveyed. Employees of HMR manufacturers who participated in this survey recognized that the participation of employees and leadership was the most important factor in ensuring food safety. Smaller enterprises are less aware of the importance of such organizational culture. The survey shows that food safety culture indicators in large companies are generally higher than those of small and medium enterprises. Especially, the manager's level of commitment to food safety, resources input, and education and training was significantly higher than that found at small companies (p=0.005). Among the food safety culture evaluation factors, it was found that education and training had significant influence on HACCP prerequisite program performance. Continued employee education and training on food safety and hygiene are important for HMR manufacturers to achieve HACCP certification standards.

The purpose of this study is to propose the effective method to improve the competitive power in the Busan container terminal. To achieve this, we analyzed the present of the shift pattern in the container terminal, and identified the problems in the pattern. This study shows the issues of shift pattern for field employee in Busan container terminal and also improvement plan to solve them. We suggested two approaches as an effective approach; the flexible use of employees through overtime, use of workers pool among terminals, and outsourcing; the promotion of welfare by leisure, fitness, and community service.

우리나라의 식품산업은 2002년도에 약 36조3천8백억원의 매출을 기록하여, 국내총생산(GDP)의 $5.9\%$를 차지하고 있으며, 제조업 총생산액의 $20.3\%$를 차지하여 국내제조업의 견인차로 평가받고 있다. 또한 제조업별 부가가치 순위는 전자, 화학, 자동차산업에 이어 4위를 점하고 있으며, 고용유발계수도 평균이상을 유지하고 있다. 이와 함께 식품산업은 모든 소비재 중 생존을 위해 없어서는 안된다는 점에서 특별한 위치를 점하고 있다. 하지만 우리의 식품산업은 약 18,000업소가 생산활동에 참여하고 있으나 종업원 10인 이하 사업장이 $78.1\%$를 차지하며, 상위 47개 사업장이 식품산업 총 매출액의 $52\%$를 점유하고 있는 영세구조로 이루어져 있다. 행정측면에서 보면 그간 안전성 확보를 위한 규제중심의 행정에 치우쳐 산업진흥을 위한 특별한 지원이 매우 부족한 실정이다. 그러나 이와 같은 식품산업의 구조적 영세성은 식품산업이 갖는 경제적 측면 이외에 특별한 위치 즉, 국민보건분야에 있어서의 중대성과 함께 산업으로서의 발전을 위한 국가차원의 전략적 지원이 필요한 분야이다. 이와 함께 식품산업은 BT분야에 있어 적용가능성이 높고, 성공확률이 높아 국가의 지원이 우선적으로 배려되어야 한다. 이를 위하여 본 장에서는 식품산업의 생산$\cdot$수출입현황, 식품산업의 경제적 위치를 분석하여 중요성을 부각하였다. 국내외 식품산업지원정책의 파악을 위하여 식품안전관련 법령의 소개와 산업지원을 위한 산자부 등 관련부처의 지원정책을 제시하였으며 미국, 유럽, 일본 등 주요국가의 바이오 기능식품을 중심으로 한 정부의 BT 지원정책을 소개하였다. 이와함께 우리나라의 식품산업의 연구개발 동향을 분석하고, 미국, 유럽, 일본의 식품산업의 중점 연구개발동향을 소개하였다. 상기의 식품산업분석, 지원정책, 외국의 BT지원 사례 등을 참조하여 우리 식품산업의 환경분석과 문제점을 제시하였으며 전망을 분석하였다. 식품산업 정책의 개선방향으로서 제도의 개선, 위해평가 수행체계의 도입, 식품유통의 효율화 기반조성 및 지원, 산업지원을 위한 추진정책, BT산업으로서 식품산업의 진흥책 강구 등의 전략을 제시하였다.

There are few studies on the human resource development and management of container terminal in Korea. In this situation, we try to analyze the training and education of Busan port container terminals. This study took a close look at present condition of training and education of container terminals in Busan and compared it with foreign advanced port. And conducted a questionnaire survey on the actural condition and system of it. Based on the survey result, we examine the problems and suggest an alternative plan to improve the training and edcation of Busna Port container terminals.
