An Exploratory Study on Human Right of Social Workers Who Works at the Disabled Residential Facilities - Focused on Busan Area - (IPA를 적용한 장애인거주시설 종사자의 인권에 대한 탐색적 연구 -부산지역 장애인거주시설 종사자를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the difference of importance-performance about human right of social worker who works in the Disabled Residential Facilities. And based on this result, we wanted suggest strategies to implement human rights for the disabled. We collected data from 539 social worker who works in the Disabled Residential Facilities in Busan. We tried analysis descriptive statistics, T-Test and Importance-Performance Analysis. The Result is first, the importance level(total mean 6.27) was higher than the performance level(total mean 6.07) to human rights of the disabled. Second, in items of human rights of the disabled, there was the difference of the importance and the degree of performance. Third, with the exception of political right, the difference between the importance and performance of liberty, the right to survival, and the social right was statistically significant. Based on these results, I suggest practical implications and future tasks.

A Study of Mental Health Care Workers' Recognition and Guarantee for Psychiatric Patients' Rights (정신보건시설 종사자의 정신질환자에 대한 권리인식과 보장)

  • This study was to examine the recognition and guarantee for psychiatric patients' rights of mental health care workers. The participants of this study were 231 mental health care workers from 10 mental health care institutions located in J city, Korea. Data was collected using questionnaires consisting of one instrument measuring participants' recognition and guarantee for psychiatric patients' rights, and participants' characteristics. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA with SPSS 12.0. The results of this study showed the mental healthcare workers' recognition and guarantee were significantly different in every subscales. Besides, the difference between recognition and guarantee toward psychiatric patients' rights was significantly associated with participants' occupations. Based on the findings, guiding where nursing education efforts should be focused to help putting in place the psychiatric patients' rights.

The Factors Influencing Understanding on Patient Safety Culture in General Hospital Employees (일 지역 종합병원 종사자들의 환자 안전문화 인식에 미치는 요인)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate understanding of patient safety culture and the factors that influence this understanding among general hospital employees. To collect data, this study surveyed 343 employees of five general hospitals that were located in G metropolitan city and were authorized through medical institute certification. The data were collected from March 12 to April 21, 2017. For the data collected, a t-test, variance analysis, post-hoc analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. The analyses revealed that the scores of understanding of patient safety culture were $3.27{\pm}.27$ with a perfect score of 5. Analysis of differences in understanding of patient safety culture revealed significant differences according to hospital service career, present department service career, professional career, and work units. Factors that influence understanding of patient safety culture were more than 11 year- hospital service career, 6 and 10 service years, and ward employees. Overall, the results of this study suggest that employees should receive education to improve understanding of patient safety culture and measures to change the understanding should be developed.

An Analysis of the Awareness and Performance of Radiation Workers' Radiation/Radioactivity Protection in Medical Institutions: Focused on Busan Regional Medical Institutions (의료기관 방사선작업종사자들의 방사선/능 방어에 대한 인식도 및 수행도 분석: 부산지역 의료기관을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate safety management awareness and behavioral investigation of radiation/radioactivity performance defenses of radiation workers' in medical institutions. Data collection consisted of 267 radiation workers working in medical institutions using structured questionnaires. As a result, it was analyzed that radiation safety management awareness and performance were high in 40s, 50s group and higher education group. The analysis according to the radiation safety management knowledge was analyzed that the "Know very well" group had higher scores on awareness and performance scores. The analysis according to the degree of safety management effort showed the high awareness scale and the performance scale in the group "Receiving various education or studying the safety management contents through book". The correlations between the sub-factors showed the highest positive correlation between perceived practician and personal perspective and perceived by patient and patient's caretaker perspective. Therefore, radiation safety management for workers, patients, and patient's caretaker should be conducted through continuous education of radiation safety management through various routes of radiation workers working at medical institutions.

The Mediating Effect of Self-efficacy on the Relationship between the Professionalism Perception and the Job Satisfaction of Employees in Community Rehabilitation Facilities for the Disabled (장애인지역사회재활시설 종사자의 전문성인식과 직무만족의 관계에서 자아효능감의 매개효과)

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the professionalism perception and the job satisfaction of employees in community rehabilitation facilities for the disabled. This also examined the mediating effect of self-efficacy between the two variables. The questionnaire survey was conducted on employees in the facilities in Chungnam and Daejeon areas. And the 376 materials was used for analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows : 1) the professionalism perception and the self-efficacy have positive statistic association with job satisfaction of employees in the facilities. 2) the self-efficacy is found to partially mediate between the professionalism perception and the job satisfaction. Based on the results of this research, several measures can be presented to increase job satisfaction in terms of improving of the professionalism perception and the self-efficacy of employees in the facilities.

  • The aim of the study intends to investigate the recognition of fire safety of traditional market employee in Masan city and to provide the base data for the fire safety. The results of the study are as follows. The traditional market employee have high interest in fire safety and recognize that the possibility of fire is high in market. The traditional market employee of 46.0% takes fire safety education and preferred self-government merchant association in market as education place. This study shows that the traditional market employee of 41.5% recognize a fire escape route. In order to prevent the fire of traditional market, the strong activity of market fire staff and the periodic fire inspection of fire department are recommended.

  • The aim of this study is to look into the role stress, job insecurity, self-efficacy and job engagement among broadcasting staffs. It is the ultimate goal for this study to probe how their job engagement affected by three factors - role stress, job insecurity, self-efficacy. 343 respondents participated and the results show they are suffering for the role stress, especially role conflict. Their awareness of the self-efficacy and job engagement is above average, meanwhile of job insecurity is comparably low. It is revealed that the less role ambiguity and the more self-efficacy affect their job engagement and the most influential factor is self-efficacy.

A Study on the Elderly Care Facilities Worker's Attitude and Awareness of Associated Factors of Falls (노인요양시설종사자들의 낙상에 대한 태도 및 낙상영향요인 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the elderly care facilities worker's attitude and awareness of associated factors of falls. The subject was 194 the elderly care facilities workers in Chungbuk. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient was utilized for the data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. the score of attitude was $2.98{\pm}.34$ out of 4, the score of awareness of associated factors was $3.00{\pm}.43$ out of 4. There were statistically significant differences of attitude and awareness of associated factors of falls according to general characteristics. the relationship of attitude and awareness of associated factors of falls was significantly positive. Falls is important health related problem in elderly care facilities, so effective fall prevention program is needed for elderly care facilities worker.

Factors Influencing on Magazine Subscription (잡지 구독 영향 요인 연구)

  • This research examined the influencing factors on magazine subscription. 499 magazine readers had answered on the survey questions. Structural equation model analysis, frequency analysis and reliability analysis were used by SPSS 15.0 and Amos 7.0 program for verifying the hypotheses. The results were as follows: First, the speciality of magazine journalists had a positive effect on magazine recognition. Second, the speciality of magazine journalists had a positive effect on subscription to magazine. Third, the magazine recognition had a positive effect on subscription to magazine. Fourth, the price, a copy of magazine, had not significant effect on subscription to magazine. Fifth, the percentage of news item and advertisement had not significant effect on subscription to magazine. Sixth, the reading amount had a positive effect on subscription to magazine.

A Study on the Awareness of the Yearly Income System among Dental Personnels (치과의료 종사자들의 연봉제 실시에 관한 의식도 조사연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how medical personnels in the field of dentistry perceived the introduction of the yearly income system in an effort to determine some of the right directions for that and find out in which way that could be vitalized. For that purpose, literature concerned and relevant materials were reviewed, and a survey was conducted on 95 medical personnels, who were working at dental hospitals and clinics throughout the nation, for approximately five months from April through August 2002. After the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were acquired; (1) Regarding their awareness of the yearly income system by the type of institute, the workers from the dental hospitals found the yearly income system, more than the others from the dental clinics did, to enlarge their sense of involvement in management (p<.001), further work productivity(p<.01), awake their target-oriented sense of mission(p<.01) and make them feel uneasy about their future(p<.05). (2) As to differences between the dentists and dental hygienists, the former group had a higher opinion about that system(p<.01) and its effect on impartial performance appraisal(p<.01), encouraging medical personnels to deploy their abilities(p<.01), furthering work productivity(p<.001), intensifying a target-oriented sense of mission(p<.001). (3) Concerning their perception by career, those who had longer experience to work in that field considered it to strengthen work severity(p<.05) more than the others who had shorter experience did, and the former group thought that system was more likely to concentrate on a short-term achievement (p<.05). The workers who had been working for three to five years were more conscious of change in office hours (p<.01), and those who had been working for two or less years viewed that system most favorably(p<.05). (4) In order for that system to be successful, impartial performance appraisal was most widely called for(31.6%), followed by trust between labor and management(26.3%), worker's positive attitude toward that system(16.8%), CEO's firm belief in that(12.3%), and setting up a feasible target. The workers from the dental hospitals put more stress on medical personnel's favorable attitude toward that system(p<.05) than the others from the dental clinics did. And the dentists placed more stock in setting up a feasible target, which was a criteria of determining the amount of annual income, than the dental hygienists did.
