Third, workers in the private sector were higher in both job commitment and job performance than those in public institutions. In short, although professionalism perception affects the job commitment and performance of private and public workers, the job commitment and performance of private social welfare organizations with high professionalism awareness is high.

  • This study analyzed the relationship between supervision and job commitment of the elderly leisure welfare center employees and the mediating effect of professionalism perception. The survey was conducted of 267 employees in 15 facilities located in Daejeon and Chungnam. The main methods were confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis using SPSS and AMOS. The analysis results showed that the relationship between supervision and job commitment and the mediating effect of professionalism perception were verified. For activating the supervision, it is necessary to strengthen the educational supervision, systematize the supervision, and strengthen the supervisor education. To raise the professionalism perception, programs such as awards for outstanding manpower, social support, and employee education considering clients are needed. It is expected that studies on various variables for human resource management including job commitment for elderly leisure facility employees will be continued.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the differences in human rights perception between people with disabilities and staffs in the disabled residential facilities. Using data from the '2014 Human Rights Survey on Disability in the Disabled Residential Facilities' for 602 facilities, the study compared their perception of human rights(16 items), including human rights guarantee(12 items) and human rights violation(4 items). Result showed that the rate of perception for human rights guarantee and violation(except staff violation) of staffs was higher than people with disabilities(p<.05). This study demonstrated that there were significant differences in human right perception between people with disabilities and staffs. The cause of this difference would be the conflict between roles of staff and needs of person with disabilities, absence of human rights indicators by mutual consent between the two. Our findings suggested a need for study on strategies to solve gap of perception between the two, such as integrated human rights education, developing consensual human rights indicators.

  • This paper aims to identify differences between the perception of the fourth industrial revolution of the disabled who use the IL center or the disabled in the community and its workers. It surveyed 178 disabled users and 173 workers at eight centers of the handicapped in Busan and South Gyeongsang-do and conducted an analysis on their interests in the fourth industry, awareness of the latest technology, and prediction of changes in the disabled welfare center. Although worker's interest in the fourth industry was higher than their users, their perception of the degree of preparation by the disabled welfare centers indicated that the worker's level of future institutional readiness was lower than that of the users. The results will be used to help set directions for future guidelines and plans for the welfare of the disabled.

  • This study used latent profile analysis to identify heterogeneous subgroups with respect to the perception of work environment among workers in residential facilities for people with disabilities. The final model yielded five latent profiles of the perception of work environment: 'low workload group' who scored low in time pressure and job responsibility, 'discrimination perception group' who scored low in supervisor support and high in sex and academic/regional discriminations, 'positive perception group' who scored high in work autonomy and peer and supervisor supports, 'high workload group' who scored high in workload, time pressure, and job responsibility, and 'average group' who scored average in most areas. In the case of job satisfaction, positive perception group was the highest, followed by average group, low and high workload groups, and discrimination perception group.
