A Study of Usability for Mobile Map Applications -Focused on Mobile Map Applications of Naver and Daum- (모바일 지도 애플리케이션의 사용성 연구 -네이버, 다음 지도를 중심으로-)

  • The aim of this paper is to improve the usability of Mobile Maps by allowing more people to use. To figure out better UX/UI, I evaluated usability for Mobile Applications from various materials such as literatures and blogs for qualitative methods and interviews and questionnaires about satisfaction of Naver and Daum for quantitative methods. So, We know that a map app is important and it is affected by force and profile on the portal site than its own features, because, not often in everyday life. Even though people do not use Mobile Map Applications frequently, we need to improve usability to make anybody use them easily by minimizing depth and button designs.

  • As the information technology grows interests in the intrusion detection system (IDS), which detects unauthorized usage, misuse by a local user and modification of important data, has been raised. In the field of anomaly-based IDS several artificial intelligence techniques such as hidden Markov model (HMM), artificial neural network, statistical techniques and expert systems are used to model network rackets, system call audit data, etc. However, there are undetectable intrusion types for each measure and modeling method because each intrusion type makes anomalies at individual measure. To overcome this drawback of single-measure anomaly detector, this paper proposes a multiple-measure intrusion detection method. We measure normal behavior by systems calls, resource usage and file access events and build up profiles for normal behavior with hidden Markov model, statistical method and rule-base method, which are integrated with a rule-based approach. Experimental results with real data clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method that has significantly low false-positive error rate against various types of intrusion.

Information recognition style and Learning method for factorization - Focusing on algeblocks and formula application - (정보인식 유형과 인수분해 학습방법 -대수막대와 공식 활용을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the differences between two groups of students according to information recognition styles such as visual learners and linguistic learners. Two instructional methods, algeblocks and factorization formula, were utilized to introduce the factorization. Four students were participated for the study, and two of them were visual learners and the other two were linguistic learners based on learning style test. Interviews and the diagnostic tests were implemented before the instructions which were lasted for 6 sessions. After the instructions all the participants were interviewed and the researchers also interviewed them 5 days later. The results of the study were the followings: 1. All the participants regardless of their learning style revealed that algeblocks were helpful in understanding the factorization. 2. Visual learners were more likely using algeblocks, while the linguistic learners were more enthusiastic and proficient in using formula to solve the problems. 3. Five days later, two types of learning style students revealed different tendencies. Visual learners mainly used algeblocks, and linguistic learners were not enthusiastic about using algeblocks and one of them did not use them at all. 4. Five days later, two visual learners could not remember the formula, but linguistic learners could remember the formula in somewhat different level.

A Study on the Consistency Measurement of Weathered Granite Soil (화강암질풍화토(花崗岩質風化土)의 Consistency 측정(測定)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • This test was carried out to present criterion to measure the liquid limit of weathered granite soil by using the flow-table method whose operation is easier and more convenient than slump test. The results are as follows. 1. Since liquid limit of weathered granite soil depends upon the particle size distribution, weatheredness and content of colored minerals, maximum particle size should be prescribed when the testing rule of liquid limit by flow-table method is enacted. 2. If take the averaged water content as liquid limit where the height and width of flow are 1 cm respectively by 10 times dropping, this liquid limit is slightly less than the one by slump test. The differance of liquid limit between flow table method and slump test is about 10%. 3. Correlation curves of flow width-water content and flow hight-water content show similar shapes. Those are straight lines in semi-logarithm paper just as liquid limit test. 4. This flow-table method is more convenient and has less personal error of measurement than slump test does. So flow-table method would be favourably utilized for judging the engineering properties of soil.

  • Highway ARS service made several times handling of cellular phone for accept the one information. But, use the cellular phone while driving is against the law that 'Road Traffic Act' and wield influence on safety by degrade driver's attention that causes reduced section of concentration. On this study, propose a new type service that more useful and safer witch improved of existing ARS service to it served for cellular phone. For the analyze problem in existing ARS service, collect and analysis that ARS using status data and highway overall speed data, and then offer a better service type which based on improvements to that. Also, make a comparative analysis including measure of degree about easy to use and safety between two services by using the Stated Preference method, as a result of verifies the effect of new type service Finally, for measure of the effect the value of improved ARS service type that used willingness to pay in CVM method.

  • This study aims to develop a framework of structural scenarios for chatbot docent that supports visitors' activities in science centers and museums, and to suggest the application examples. For this study, the author adapted Focus Group Interview. As a result, the frameworks of scenarios could be categorized into the Collection of Science and Technology(CST) and Inquiry-Based Exhibition(IBE). These frameworks had dimensions of the primary and storytelling in common. Especially, framework of IBE scenario was added the usage dimension considering the characteristics of interaction between exhibits and visitors. This study could be basic materials for AI chatbot to support exhibition descriptions using the built data, and is expected to be help develop a more visitor-oriented scenarios of activities.

  • The optimized RAPD-PCR conditions, that can be utilized as a basic information for analysis of the gelletic characteristics were developed for genetic analysis of four mulberry varieties, named Milsung, Chungil, Suil, and Hansung using a primer, OPY15 (5'-AGTCGCCCTT-3') from Operon company. We tested several different factors for best PCR condition including concentrations of DNA, primer, Mgclu annealing temperature, number of PCR cycle, and prosence/absence of pre-heating time at the begining of PCR reaction in the $25 \mul$volume. The best RAPD profiles were obtained using 50 ng of DNA, 1 $\mu$M of primer, $1 \mum$of $MgCl_2\;,45^{\circ}C$ of annealing temperature and an absence of pre-heating time. An establishment of the stable and reproducible RAPD-PCR conditions are expected to be useful for the subsequent RAPD-related investigation, such as genetic characterization of the mulberry varieties, re-establishment of phylogenetic relationships and development of new varieties.

Distributed Rainfall-Runoff Modeling Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 분산형 강우-유형 모형의 개발)

  • This study is conducted to eveluate the potential of a GIS to assist an application problem. GIS has been applied to rainfall-runoff modeling over Soyang area. Various rainfall-runoff models have been developed over the years. A distributed rainfall-runoff model is selected because it considers the topographic characteristics over the basin. GIS can handle the spatial data to enhance the modeling. GRASS-a public domain GIS S/W-is used for GIS tools. Digital database is generated, including soil map, vegetation map, digital elevation model, basin and subbasin map, and water stream. The inpu data for the model has been generated and manupulated using GIS. The database, model and GIS are integrated for on-line operation. The inflow hydrographs are tested for the flood of Sept., 1990. This shows the promising results even without the calibration.

  • 최근 기후변화로 인하여 극한 강우사상이 증가하고 있으며, 이에 대한 재해 위험도도 커지고 있는 추세이다. 서낙동강 지역에서는 부산 에코델타 스마트시티 조성사업이 2023년 완공을 목표로 개발을 진행 중이다. 부산 에코델타 스마트시티는 대저수문과 녹산수문이 각각 상/하류에 위치하고 있으며, 스마트시티가 위치한 좌안에는 평강천이 유입하고 우안에는 대감천, 예안천, 주중천, 신어천, 금천천, 조만강 및 지사천이 유입하고 있다. 스마트시티의 대저수문과 녹산수문 구간은 4월-10월 기간 동안 주변지역 농업용수 공급을 위하여 하계의 일시적인 방류를 제외하면 연중 담수가 이루어지는 전형적인 하천형 저수지의 특성을 가지고 있다. 낙동강의 홍수예보는 낙동강의 본류 구간만을 대상으로 수행하고 있으며, 스마트시티 구간은 주로 수질에 관한 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 그러나 스마트시티의 조성과 함께 서낙동강 구간의 홍수 영향 분석의 필요성이 제기되고 있으나 스마트시티 하천구간을 대상으로 한 홍수분석은 거의 수행된 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 부산에코델타 스마트시티 구간을 대상으로 시나리오 기반의 홍수분석을 수행할 수 있는 웹기반 통합플랫폼을 개발하였다. 홍수분석에 필요한 자료는 에코델타 스마트시티 개발계획을 기반으로 단기유출모의, 하천흐름모의 및 도시유출모의를 연계하여 분석을 실시할 수 있도록 하였다. 홍수분석을 실시함에 있어 대상 하천구간의 농업용수이용, 수문조작 기준을 고려하였다. 단기유출모의는 홍수통제소의 유출분석을 위하여 사용되는 저류함수법을 적용하였으며, 하천흐름 모의는 미국 공병단에서 개발한 HEC-RAS모형을 적용하였으며, 하천흐름모형의 결과를 미국 환경청(EPA) 도시유출모형인 SWMM과 연계할 수 있도록 하였다. 대상 구간의 하천 취수량을 산정하기 위하여 일별 담수심추적법을 활용한 논 농업용수 수요량을 산정하여 반영하고, 농업용수 수요량에 따른 저수량과 수문운영 룰을 고려하였다. 또한 부산에코델타 스마트시티의 개발에 따른 상태 변화를 반영할 수 있도록 웹기반으로 사용자가 시나리오를 설정하고 각 모형의 입력자료와 매개변수를 조정할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 부산에코델타 스마트시티의 개발에 있어 홍수위험을 분석 및 평가하는데 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 이를 활용하여 홍수에 안전한 부산에코델타 스마트시티를 만들 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

The Consumer Sensibility Evaluation according to the Arrangement and Area-ratio of a Stripe, and the Necktie Width (넥타이의 폭, 스트라이프의 배열과 면적비에 따른 소비자 감성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the consumer sensibility according to the arrangement and area-ratio of a stripe, and the necktie width. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimuli and necktie sensibility scales. The stimuli were 27 color pictures, in which the necktie width(narrow, medium, wide), stripe arrangement(horizontal, vertical, oblique), and stripe area-ratio(1:1, 1:2, 1:3) were manipulated. The 7-point scale was used for the consumere sensibility. Data were obtained from 270 men and women in their 20s and 30s living in Seoul, Gwangju, Daegu, Jinju, and Changwon on November 2011. For the data analysis, ANOVA and Duncan-test were used by using SPSS program. Results of this study were as follows.; The factors of consumer sensibility according to the arrangement and area-ratio of a stripe, and the necktie width consisted of five dimensions of attractiveness, grace, individuality, ability, and activity. The necktie width showed an independent effect on attractiveness and grace. The stripe arrangement showed an independent effect on attractiveness, grace, individuality, and ability. The stripe area-ratio showed an independent effect on grace. Also, interaction effects of the necktie width and stripe area-ratio on ability were found. The study results are highly expected to be used as valuable sources in plans for necktie products.
