A Study of applying Method of Unipolar-ZCD Spreading Code for LED-ID in Interference Environment (LED-ID용 간섭채널환경하에서의 단극형 ZCD확산코드 적용 기법에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, This paper suggests that LED-ID technique applying positioning method for LED light. also, Authors in this paper has launched this investigation earnestly. However, there are various interferences such as MPI(Multi Path Interference) by reflected waves of the surface and interfere factors by their correlation properties of the ID in LED-ID wireless channel. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a novel OOK(On-Off Keying)-CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system using unipolar ZCD(Zero Correlation Duration) spreading code and verify the availability of the proposed system via the evaluation performance simulation.

Noise filtering for Depth Images using Shape Smoothing and Z-buffer Rendering (형상 스무딩과 Z-buffer 렌더링을 이용한 깊이 영상의 노이즈 필터링)

  • 본 논문에서는 동적 객체의 3 차원 정보를 표현하는 깊이 영상의 노이즈 필터링 방법을 제안한다. 실제 객체의 동적인 3 차원 정보는 적외선 깊이 센서가 장착된 깊이 비디오 카메라를 이용하여 실시간으로 획득되며, 일련의 깊이 영상, 즉 깊이 비디오(depth video)로 표현될 수 있다. 하지만 측정환경의 조명조건, 객체의 반사속성, 카메라의 시스템 오차 등으로 인해 깊이 영상에는 고주파 성분의 노이즈가 발생하게 된다. 이를 효과적으로 제거하기 위해 깊이 영상기반의 모델링 기법(depth image-based modeling)을 이용한 3 차원 메쉬 모델링을 수행한다. 생성된 3 차원 메쉬 모델은 깊이 영상의 노이즈로 인해 경계 영역과 형상 내부 영역에 심각한 형상 오차를 가진다. 경계 영역의 오차를 제거하기 위해 깊이 영상으로부터 경계 영역을 추출하고, 가까운 순서로 정렬한 후 angular deviation 을 이용하여 불필요하게 중복된 점들을 제거한다. 그리고 나서 2 차원 가우시안 스무딩 기법을 적용하여 부드러운 경계영역을 생성한다. 형상 내부에 대해서는 경계영역에 제약조건을 주고 3 차원 가우시안 스무딩 기법을 적용하여 전체적으로 부드러운 형상을 생성한다. 최종적으로 스무딩된 3 차원 메쉬모델을 렌더링할 때, 깊이 버퍼에 있는 정규화된 깊이 값들을 추출하여 원래 깊이 영상과 동일한 깊이 영역을 가지도록 저장함으로서 전역적으로 연속적이면서 부드러운 깊이 영상을 생성할 수 있다. 제안된 방법에 의해 노이즈가 제거된 깊이 영상을 이용하여 고품질의 영상기반 렌더링이나 깊이 비디오 기반의 햅틱 렌더링에 적용할 수 있다.

The Effects of Foot Reflexology on Peripheral Neuropathy, Symptom Distress, Anxiety and Depression in Cancer Patients Treated with Oxaliplatin (발반사요법이 항암화학요법 관련 말초신경병증, 증상 디스트레스, 불안 및 우울에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: This study was done to clarify the effects of foot reflexology on peripheral neuropathy, symptom distress, anxiety and depression in cancer patients treated with oxaliplatin. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed. Changes in the variables were evaluated to test the effects of foot reflexology. Participants were cancer patients treated with oxaliplatin (experimental group 14 and control group 17). Peripheral neuropathy, symptom distress, anxiety and depression were measured before and after reflexology. Data were collected from October, 2010 to April, 2011. ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test and the Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data. Results: The experimental group who received foot reflexology experienced less peripheral neuropathy and symptom distress than the control group. There was no difference in anxiety and depression between the experimental and control group. Conclusion: The foot reflexology program adopted in this study was found to be an effective method to reduce peripheral neuropathy and symptom distress. We recommend foot reflexology for patients with chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.

  • Visible Light Communication (VLC) is effective way to realize the light device and communication device using a Light Emitting Diode (LED) simultaneously. VLC has high security for Field Of View (FOV) communication area, also which is possible to transmit the high data rate using visible light. In VLC, transmitting the divided data by the RGB channels is higher data rate than transmitting the same data by RGB channels. However, it occurred the burst error by scattering and reflection of visible light which is impossible to restore that. To solve the problem, we proposed the 2-step interleaving scheme that high data rate and improve the performance of BER in VLC. The proposed system implements cyclic interleaving and convolutional interleaving that is able to be standardized the performance of RGB channels and improve the performance of BER using error correction.

  • Pattern recognition using ensemble classifiers is composed of strong classifier which consists of many weak classifiers. In this paper, we used feature extraction to organize strong classifier using static camera sequence. The strong classifier is made of weak classifiers which considers environmental factors. So the strong classifier overcomes environmental effect. Proposed method uses binary foreground image by frame difference method and the boosting is used to train crowdedness model and recognize crowdedness using features. Combination of weak classifiers makes strong ensemble classifier. The classifier could make use of potential features from the environment such as shadow and reflection. We tested the proposed system with road sequence and subway platform sequence which are included in "AVSS 2007" sequence. The result shows good accuracy and efficiency on complex environment.

A Study on Eye Detection by Using Adaboost for Iris Recognition in Mobile Environments (Adaboost를 이용한 모바일 환경에서의 홍채인식을 위한 눈 검출에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose the new eye detection method by using adaboost (adaptive boosting) method. Also, to reduce the false alarm rate which identifies the non-eye region as genuine eye that is the Problems of previous method using conventional adaboost, we proposed the post processing methods which used the cornea specular reflection and determined the optimized ratio of eye detecting box. Based on detected eye region by using adaboost, we performed the double circular edge detector for localizing a pupil and an iris region at the same time. Experimental results showed that the accuracy of eye detection was about 98% and the processing time was less than 1 second in mobile device.

산화아연 sol-gel 패터닝 공정을 통한 질화물계 발광다이오드의 광추출효율 향상 연구

  • 질화물계 발광다이오드는 소비전력이 낮고 발광효율이 높은 조명용 반도체소자로서 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있으나 질화갈륨 반도체 층 및 외부 공기와의 계면에서 발생하는 전반사로 인하여 광추출특성이 매우 낮은 문제점이 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있으며 투명전극 또는 p형 질화갈륨 층에 주기적인 나노 패턴을 형성하고 이에 따른 난반사 효과를 통해 전반사를 억제시키는 연구가 주로 진행되고 있다. 현재까지의 연구에서 발광다이오드의 광추출향상을 위한 나노 패턴은 플라즈마 식각공정을 통하여 형성되었지만 플라즈마 데미지에 의해 소자의 전기적 특성이 저하되는 문제점이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 플라즈마 식각 공정이 요구되지 않는 sol-gel 임프린팅 공정을 이용하여 발광다이오드의 ITO 투명전극 위에 산화아연 나노 패턴을 직접 형성하였다. Sol 솔루션은 에탄올에 zinc acetate dihydrate와 diethanolamine을 희석하여 제작하였고 이를 스핀코팅 방법을 통해 발광다이오드의 ITO 투명전극 층 위에 도포하였다. 이 후, 고 투습성의 PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane) 몰드를 이용하여 $190^{\circ}C$에서 임프린팅을 진행하였고 이 과정에서 대부분의 솔벤트(에탄올)는 PDMS 몰드로 흡수되어 임프린팅 후에는 나노 패턴이 형성된 산화아연 gel 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 최종적으로 $500^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 동안 열처리 하여 발광다이오드의 ITO 투명전극 위에 산화아연 나노 패턴을 형성하였다. 나노임프린팅 기반의 직접 패터닝 공정을 통하여 형성된 산화아연 패턴 층을 XRD 측정을 통해 결정성을 분석하였고 형성된 패턴의 형상을 SEM을 통해 확인하였다. 또한, 산화아연 패턴 유무에 따른 발광다이오드 소자의 광추출효율 비교를 위해 electroluminescence를 측정하였으며, 소자의 전기적 특성은 I-V 측정을 통해 분석하였다.

  • Local company which has excellent patent technique is required design development for sales growth and enhancement of market competitiveness. For the solution about this requirement of small and medium company, the patent office and Chooncheognbukdo are jointly progressing the value consideration business of local design, and the design is improved through this. This study is to show the illustration of the design developed by business process of V company for 'the development of external design of LED LAMP fitted into the environment in tunnel' as a project ordered by S company, and the improvement patent was created with simulation development in considering design recognition of supporting company and the competitiveness of the product by successful performance of the external design development based on patent technique. Through the effective change method of LED LAMP in tunnel and the suggested result of LED LAMP reflection method, the beneficiary company has progressed the corporate body from the individual business, and at present the primary product was completed by securing manufacturing basis facilities for manufacturing and sales. Local small and medium company became a strong design company by connecting design development supporting business through the supporting method of the fusion of design and patent.

  • In this paper we present a shading technique for realistic rendering of the surfaces with irregular and complex textures using a single photograph. So far, most works have been using many photographs or special photographing equipment to render the surfaces with irregular and complex textures as well as dividing texture regions manually. We present an automatic selection method of the region segmentation techniques according to properties of materials. As our technique produces a reflectance model and the approximated Bidirectional Reflection Distribution Function(BRDF) parameters, it allows the recovery of the photometric properties of diffuse, specular, isotropic or anisotropic textured objects. Also it make it possible to present several synthetic images with novel lighting conditions and views.

  • This paper presents a multiple face detector based on a robust pupil detection technique. The pupil detector uses active illumination that exploits the retro­reflectivity property of eyes to facilitate detection. The detection range of this method is appropriate for interactive desktop and kiosk applications. Once the location of the pupil candidates are computed, the candidates are filtered and grouped into pairs that correspond to faces using heuristic rules. To demonstrate the robustness of the face detection technique, a dual mode face tracker was developed, which is initialized with the most salient detected face. Recursive estimators are used to guarantee the stability of the process and combine the measurements from the multi­face detector and a feature correlation tracker. The estimated position of the face is used to control a pan­tilt servo mechanism in real­time, that moves the camera to keep the tracked face always centered in the image.
