Evaluation of Structural Performance of Precast Prefabricated Bridge Column using Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (비선형 유한요소해석을 이용한 조립식 교각의 성능 평가)

  • A Precast Prefabricated Bridge Column using steel tube and prestressing bar was proposed for the application of precast method on substructure. A column specimen designed by the proposed bridge column system was made and performed a quasi-static test. The failure mode appeared to be a flexural failure and there is no damage on column segment connection. And it is good use of the self-centering ability by prestressing force. Test results showed that a column specimen satisfy the earthquake specification, and the structural stability was verified. Nonlinear finite element analysis was performed and compared with the test results. Force-displacement relation and location of crack from the analysis results were compared with the test results and it agreed well. The quantitative analysis was also performed by a parametric study using this modeling technique.

  • 분산 M/VC 응용 프로그램의 조립식 작성기, DOC(Distributed Object Composer)는 M/VC(Model/View.Controller) 모델 기반 실시간 클라이언트/서버 응용의 신속한 개발을 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 DOC를 이용한 분산 M/VC 응용 프로그램의 조립식 작성 과정과 함께 그 구현을 소개한다. DOC는 개방화 및 표준화를 주도하는 CORBA 미들웨어를 기반으로 하여, 이질적인 통신 환경에서 클라이언트와 서버 객체간의 네트워크 투과성을 제공하고, 분산된 객체들 간의 상호작용(interaction) 패턴을 추상화하여 조립식 분산 응용 프로그램의 작성을 가능하게 한다. 분산 객체들 간의 상호작용을 처리하기 위해 자바의 관찰자/피관찰자(Observer/Observable) 패턴을 분산 관찰자/피관찰자 패턴으로 확장하여, serverDOC와 clientDOC로 구성된 DOC의 구현에 사용한다. 분산 피관찰자는 M/VC의 모델에 해당하고, 분산 관찰자는 뷰.콘트롤러에 해당한다. 개발자는 분산 환경을 고려하지 않고 필요한 관찰자/피관찰자 객체들을 생성하여 로컬상의 DOC에 조립식으로 연결하기만 하면 피관찰자의 상태 변화는 곧 관찰자에게 전달되고, 관찰자를 통한 사용자의 입력은 피관찰자에게 전달되어 반영된다. DOC를 이용한 응용 프로그램의 작성은 구성 객체들을 DOC에 plug-and-play 방식으로 조립하는 과정이다. 따라서 DOC는 분산 환경하의 컴포넌트 재사용성을 개선하고, 분산 응용의 생산성을 높인다.

  • The design comparison and nonlinear analysis of totally prefabricated bridge substructure systems are performed. The prefabricated bridge substructures are designed by the methods of present design and load and resistance factor design (LRFD). For the design, the current Korea Highway Bridge Code (KHBD), with DB-24 and DL-24 live loads, is used. This study evaluates the present design method of KHBD (2005) and AASHTO-LRFD (2007) for totally prefabricated bridge substructure systems. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures, was used.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the inelastic behavior of precast concrete copings for precast segmental PSC bridge columns and to provide the details and reference data. Twelve one-fourth-scale precast concrete copings were tested under quasistatic monotonic loading. In this study, the computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), was used. A joint element is modified to predict the inelastic behaviors of segmental joints. This study documents the testing of precast concrete copings for precast segmental PSC bridge columns and presents conclusions based on the experimental and analytical findings.

  • 이 연구에서는 완전 조립식 교량 하부구조의 비선형해석을 위한 전산플랫폼을 개발하였다. 완전 조립식 교량 하부구조의 비선형거동을 정확하게 파악하고 합리적이면서 경제적인 설계기준의 개발을 위한 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 재료적 비선형성에 대해서는 균열콘크리트에 대한 인장, 압축, 전단모델과 콘크리트 속에 있는 철근모델을 조합하여 고려하였다. 사용된 부착 또는 비부착 텐던요소는 유한요소법에 근거하며 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 부재의 콘크리트와 텐던의 상호작용을 구현할 수 있다. 그리고 접합면요소는 세그먼트 접합부의 비탄성거동을 예측할 수 있다. 제안된 해석기법은 수치예제에 대하여 비선형거동을 비교적 정확하게 예측하였다.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the early-age performance of precast pavements constructed by replacing existing asphalt pavements for a bus stop section in urban bus only lanes. The behavior monitoring items included the differences in the levels between asphalt and precast pavements at the entrance and exit of the precast pavement, joint widths and level differences between precast slabs, slab settlement, and skid resistance at the slab surface. The applicability of diamond grinding techniques was also investigated. The results of this study showed that the slab level, joint width, settlement, and skid resistance were not much changed as time passed, which implied that the precast pavements stably sustained vehicle loads. It was also found that employing diamond grinding could much improve the leveling between precast slabs and the surface skid resistance.

  • The present, most of bridges have been constructed with RC piers in Korea. But the construction of bridges with RC piers is limited to certain working environment and weather that give rise to some series trouble such as weak constructability, quality deterioration and rising of the cost of construction. For this reason, the construction tend to focus on the developing of more effective and economical construction methods. Of all methods, prefabricated precast segment piers have been examined more extensively, it has become a solution of some problems like traffic congestion that usual site placing methods have. The Korea government has the already issued specification earthquake effect. But the existing seismic specification are inapplicable to bridges with prefabricated precast segment piers. This study analyzes structural behabviors of the RC model, prestressted pier moel, the prefabricated precast segment pier with no shearduct model and the prefabricated segment piers with shearduct and changed post tensioning force.

  • Recently new construction and reconstruction of the bridge have been required to minimize traffic congestion, environmental disadvantage, to reduce the period of construction, and to improve the quality and workability during the construction. For this reason, the application of modular bridge system, which is assembly of the structural members, is necessary to prepare for near future. Fall of girders can occur at the moment to connect between precast girders during the construction, so appropriate cross beams should be installed to solve the mentioned problem. In this study, understanding the structural characteristics and domestic and international case of cross beam, alternative cross beam system for modular bridge was developed. To inspect the structural characteristics of the alternative system, specimens were built and static loading test was performed. Afterward, the behavior of cross beam interms of joints and load distribution was observed. Experimental results were analyzed and compared with each data. Therefore, the appropriate cross beam system for modular bridge will be chosen and proposed in this paper.
