A Feasibility Study of Safety Cetification for Finished Product of Febricated Temporary (조립식 가설기자재의 완성품에 대한 안전인증 타당성 연구)

  • Recently, the using of prefabricated temporary equipments is increasing in the industrial field because it can reduce the installation and dismantling period. The various types of prefabricated temporary equipments are manufacturing with various materials in domestic and overseas countries. However, those equipments should win the safety certificate according to the "Governmental Notification about Safety Certification" which regulate the member-based safety certification. It tends to cause over performance of temporary equipments because it couldn't consider structural benefit of the prefabricated products. As the result of this study, it is concluded that the establishment of new safety certification standard for the prefabricated temporary equipments is resonable and the movable scaffold is appropriate for those prefabricated temporary equipment. The movable scaffolds are using as single structure and cannot be expands horizontally. Other types of temporary equipments are using as complex structure which can freely expand horizontally according to the main structure. From the results of the study, the standard of vertical compression performance of prefabricated movable scaffolds should be more than double the performance of single main frame. Other test items of safety certification standard should be fixed when the Notification is amended. The prefabricated temporary equipments which are adopted for the safety standard on assembled structure should be used, moved and kept in assembled state and not separated discretionally. The establishment of new standard for the assembled structure based on this study leads to the development of various types of temporary equipments using structural efficiency of prefabricated structure.

Temporary Arch Bridges Assembled by Snap-fit GFRP Decks and Bolts (첨단복합소재 데크를 볼트결합한 조립식 아치가교의 거동분석)

  • Due to lightweight and high durability of glass-fiber reinforced polyester (GFRP) materials, they are promising alternatives to conventional construction materials such as steel, concrete and wood. As good application examples of GFRP materials, several types of temporary arch bridges were suggested and verified by finite element analyses in our previous study where snap-fit GFRP decks were applied. In this paper, we conduct a structural performance test to verify safety and serviceability of the temporary arch bridge, where snap-fit GFRP decks are assembled by bolts. The structural problems occurred in this test are also discussed and improvement of temporary arch bridges is suggested to resolve the occurred structural problems.

An Experimental Study on Heat Transmission Characteristics of the Conventional and Prefabricated Ondol (기존온수온돌과 조립식 온수온돌의 전열특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The objectives of this study are to find out and to analyze the heat transmission characteristics of the conventional and prefabricated Ondol systems. To compare the thermal characteristics of these Ondol, a real sized Ondol model is set in a chamber. Hot water whose temperature is varied from $45^{\circ}C$ to $60^{\circ}C$ with $5^{\circ}C$ interval is supplied to each Ondol system. At that time the temperature distribution of floor surface, the amount of supplied heat, the heat radiation aspect and the heat loss from the floor to the underground are measured and analyzed simultaneously. As a result, even if the supplied hot water temperature to the prefabricated Ondol panel is lower by about $5^{\circ}C$ than that of the conventional Ondol panel, the net radiant effect is same. Heat radiation efficiency of the prefabricated Ondol panel is over 5% better than that of the conventional Ondol panel. It takes 12 hours for the conventional Ondol and 45 minutes for the prefabricated Ondol, respectively to reach steady state.

  • From the practical point of view, general retaining wall systems, such as gravity wall, cantilever wall and reinforced wall, have several problems. As a countermeasure, precast block type retaining wall systems have been developed and used for the various purposes of construction. The retaining wall systems can be applied not only for mechanical purpose but environmentally friendly aspects by changing the shapes of surface plates and planting on the surface plates. On the other hand, the bulging failure was dominant near the center of wall height. Therefore, an individual block has to be estimated for the stability problem related to turnover and the for design of gravity block type wall. On the basis of this result, the optimum section of the wall has to be determined.

A Comparative Analysis for the Energy Performance of the Prefabricated Residential Modular Spaces (주거용 조립식 단위공간의 유형별 에너지성능 분석)

  • Purpose: Prefabricated modular space such as a container construction has recently been interested unlike the conventional construction method, and their scale have expanded from small buildings such as cafes, houses and pensions to shopping centers, complex cultural spaces where shows and exhibitions are possible doing. In this way, the container is in the spotlight as an advantage such as mobility, flexibility, correspondence, economic efficiency, recyclability and so on. However, there are no specific guidelines and standard design methods in aspects of structural calculation, functional insulation and environmental configuration. Therefore, as the first step to resolve these problems, this study has focused on the field of environmental performance of container construction, presented appropriate guidelines and searched ways to improve performances. Method: For this study, seven types of the modular building were chosen and compared, and their energy performances have been analyzed using a proven simulation tool. Essential methodology and terminology were examined to estimate and judge their efficiency. Result: In conclusion, energy performances depend on specific configuration of combined unit spaces, and design guidelines cold be set up for promoting their use in the practical field.

  • This study proposes a temporary residential prefab modular structure to provide residential space to displaced people after a disaster. Patent cases related to prefab structures are collected for related design implementations, and classified. Space in temporary residential prefab modular structures must consider factors such as "Expandability", "Assembly and Disassembly", "Built-in Structure", and "Energy Efficiency", and the cases are classified into "Detailed Assembly Modular Type", "Modular Expandable Type", and "Space Unit Expandable Type". Overseas patents cases will be collected and analyzed in future studies for providing the efficient way for mass production for the lowest production cost.

Economic Analysis of Korean-type Mobile Carbonization Apparatus for the Field Utilization of Logging Residues (산지폐잔재의 현지 활용을 위한 한국형 조립식 탄화장치의 경제성분석)

  • This study was designed to analyze the economic efficiency that is needed to develop and make practical application of a mobile carbonization apparatus, which are able to make wood charcoals and pyroligneous liquid at the logging field with debris. B/C ratio was employed to make an economic analysis, and sensitivity analysis with respect to change in price and interest rates also was made. Cylindrical type is the proper type for the mobile carbonization apparatus, when important factors such as handling capacity, a carbonization time, quality of products and assembling ability were considered. It weighs 400 kg, and a three-step fold-up equipment. The size of 2 (diameter) by 2.4 m (height) carbonization equipment required 1,500 kg wood debris per batch. A forty-eight to fifty-two carbonization time produced 300 kg of wood charcoal and $45{\ell}$ of pyroligneous liquid. The average life span of the apparatus was 5 years. If the private enterprise operated 100 batch, 80 batch, and 70 batch with one apparatus, the B/C ratio of them was greater than 1, indicating that the production is economically feasible. The period to achieve a break-even point required to be 4 years in case of 100 and 80 batches to 5 years in case of 70 batch. But the private enterprises should operate at least two apparatus for the profits. Also, if the production was to be profitable, the prices of wood charcoals and pyroligneous liquid should be at least 750 won per kg and 700 won per liter.

Characteristics of Stormwater Treatment in Construction Site (건설 현장 내 비점오염원 처리 특성 평가)

  • Total suspendid solid (TSS) of non point source pollutants in construction site are in higher concentration than others (BOD, COD etc). Also, the TSS concentration is very sensitive to the rainfall intensity in early stage of construction. There are two methods for treatment of non point source pollutants, which are temporary treatment facility and filtering one. But they have disadvantages. Temporary facility system has very low efficiency and filtering system consumes high energy and takes up large footprint. This study shows how prefabricated flocculation/coagulation system is developped to cover the above weakness and evaluation of the system performance in construction site. The prefabricated flocculation/coagulation system has very high treatment efficiency comparing with temporary and filtering system and takes small footprint. Therefore, it expects that the system leads to prevention of pollution near construction site and reduction of public grievance. Proper coagulant dosage and sludge circulation facility application, controlling the height of sludge interfacial are necessary to maximize the system efficiency.

  • 최근들어 심화되고있는 자재난과 인력수급난등은 작업을 원활치 못하게 하는 요인으로 작용하여 공기를 지연 시키고 있어 건설업계가 호황속에 불황을 맞고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 건설업계 스스로 자구책을 강구해야 한다는 여론이 높아지고 있어 신자재 개발 및 신공법 개발을 더욱더 서두르고 있다. 몇몇 건설업체들은 이미 자동화 공정 미 건식공법 등을 도입 실용 단계에 들어갔으며 시험단계 중인 업체들도 상당수를 차지해 조만간 걸설업계에도 신공화법의 바람이 불 것으로 관련인들은 내다보고 있다. (주)한양 기계부는 그동안 화장실 벽체 배관의 공장 조립 시공화 방안을 연구 검토한 결과 그 타당성이 인정되어 올해 초부터 이 방안을 본격적으로 시공에 착수했다. 이에 본지는 신공법 개발의 한 분야로 이 방안을 소개 한다.

  • 토류벽체는 배면토의 과도한 변형을 막기 위한 구조물이다. 일반적인 형식의 옹벽에는 중력식 옹벽, 철근 콘크리트 옹벽, 보강토 옹벽, 그리고 타이백(tie-back) 옹벽 등이 있다. 그러나 실용적인 관점에서는 실제로 많이 사용되고 있는 이들 형식의 옹벽들은 배수구의 막힘 현상과 보강재의 부식 및 정착공간의 부족, 온도차 신축균열, 미관상 자연 환경에 친화적이지 못한 문제점 등을 갖고 있다. 이에 따라 최근에는 콘크리트 블록으로 만든 새로운 형태의 옹벽이 개발되었다. (중략)
