A Lighting Plan and Operation Strategy for Underground Parking Garages in Residential Areas (주거단지 지하주차장의 조명계획 및 운영방법)

  • The improvement of perspectives on dark and limited underground space could be an important factor in successful underground space development. The Current trend in the apartment underground parking garages requires not only quantitatively energy efficient design and operation but also qualitative improvement of the space. For this, we need to consider two factors: Firstly, to understand the characteristics of the lamps; Secondly, to improve the uniformity ratio of illuminance. In a winter season, a way to keep the uniformity and a method not to lower the indoor illuminance level by cold ambient air should be established. Therefore, a change in interval and arrangement of the lighting fixtures is required. Also, in their operations, the current time-fixed control method needs to be changed into the control which method considers the use pattern.

An Investigation of Roughness Effects on 2-Dimensional Wall Attaching Offset Jet Flow (조도가 2차원 벽부착 제트유동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The flow characteristics of a two-dimensional offset jet issuing parallel to a rough wall is experimentally investigated by using a split film probe with the modified Stock's calibration method. The mean velocity and turbulent stresses profiles in the up and down-stream locations of the wall-attachment regions are measured and compared with those of the smooth wall attaching offset jet cases. It is found that the wall-attachment region on the rough wall is wider than on the smooth wall for the same offset height and the jet speed. The position of the maximum velocity point is farther away from the wall than that for the smooth wall case because of the thick wall boundary layer established by the surface roughness. It is concluded that the roughness of the wall accelerates the relaxation process to a redeveloped plane wall jet and produces a quite different turbulent diffusion behavior especially near the wall from comparing with the smooth plane wall jet turbulence.

  • Wheat coleoptile sections were treated with either $1.5{\times}10^{-5}M$ ABA or $5×10^{-5}M$ IAA in vitro, the results may be summarized as follows, 1. The treatmert of IAA decreased the level of high molecular weight RNA F2 and F3 but that with ABA increased the F4 level. 2. IAA caused an increased activity of G2 isozyme, while ABA suppressed the activity of G3 isozyme. 3. The results may suggest that there may exist common effects of IAA and ABA on RNA and RNase. 4. The latent RNase activity caused by SH blocking reagent (p-hydroxymercury benzoate, Pb et al) was not observed.

An Effect of Load on Surface Roughness on Surface Rolling of Ground Mild Steel (연삭가공된 강재의 표면 Rolling시 가압력이 표면 조도에 미치는 영향)

  • The surface rolling method which is one of the plastic deformation processes increases the surface roughness with reduction of diameter and hardness. In this study, three NACHI 6000 ZZ bearing were used for surface rolling tool on a mild steel. The following results have been obtained with the mild steel. 1) The load is major factor in getting fine surface roughness of roller fininshing after grinding. The optimal surface roughness of SS40 steel can be obtained at the contact pressure of $210kgf/cm^2$. But, Better surface roughness can not be expected, Due to flaking phenomena at more than 300 kgf/cm of contact pressure. 2) At the contact pressure range of $200kgf/cm^2{\sim}210kgf/cm^2$ for optimal surface roughness, The surface hardness increased to Hv 200~Hv 240 from Hv 125 before surface rolling. 3) Within the diameter variation of $13{\mu}m$ the surface roughness and the surface hardness were increased, but out of variation of $14{\mu}m$. The surface roughness become worse and the surface hardness was increased.

  • Loopnet model was developed to simulate unsteady flow in the looped network channel, considering change of the time and space. In this study, the looped solution algorithm was derived and the accuracy and stability of the model was tested. The Gulpo river system was used to calculate the flood water levels considering the hydraulic structures, tidal effect and inflow hydrographs. The result of the simulation showed that the accuracy and stability of this model was reliable. The change of flood water level of the Gulpo River system and the spillway section were not greatly affected by the operation water level of the navigation channel. But this analysis showed that roughness was one of the very important physical factor in changing flood water level.

Rheological Properties of Flour Dough Added Power of Poria Cocos Wolf (백복령분말을 첨가한 밀가루 반죽의 물성특성)

  • The effects of flour dough by addition of Poria Cocos Wolf powder were investigated in dough added with $0{\sim}5%$ powder by evaluation of dough. Rheological properties of dough by mixograph, farinograph, alveograph and extensograph, and scanning electron microscope. The water absorption rate and resistance were increased by Increase of Poria Cocos Wolf powder. Mixograph for dough stability and v/v point dough were increased in dough added $1{\sim}2$ percent of Poria Cocos Wolf powder. In water absorption, stability and valorimeter value of the dough increased in weakness of the dough, as revealed through farinogram, extensiblity, resistance to extension, and energy increased in R/E ratio, as revealed through extensogram. Scanning electron microscope of bread wasn't changed by Poria Cocos Wolf powder.

  • For modern people who lack the time, the plants became more interested as they gave emotional stability and proved the purifying function of plants from harmful substances such as fine dust. In this study, we established a standard vegetation cultivation system that can easily grow indoors without any special knowledge, based on criteria such as temperature, soil humidity, and illumination. And we implemented a system that provides simple information needed for plant management by using Bluetooth function and provides contents that can get know-how necessary for plant management.

Effects of an Auto-tracking of the Focal Distance on the Quality of the Cut Part in the Laser Cutting of a Low Carbon Sheet (저탄소 강판의 레이저 절단에서 자동 초점거리 추적이 절단 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this research work is to investigate into effects of an auto tracking of the focal distance on the quality of the cut part in the cutting of a low carbon sheet using a high-power CW Nd:YAG laser. An auto-tracking system with a capacitance based distance control loop has been employed to perform a real control of the focal distance. In order to examine the influence of the auto-tracking of a focal distance on the optimum focal distance, the kerfwidth, surface roughness and the formation of the cut section, several linear cutting tests have been carried out using the auto-tracking system. The results of experiments have been shown that the optimum focal distance is 0.9mm. In addition, it has been shown that the variation of kerfwidth and the surface roughness of the cut part with control of the focal distance are reduced 40-80% and 30-55% in comparison with those of the cut part without tracking of the focal distance. From the results of the experiments, it has been found that the real time tracking of the focal distance can improve the part quality.

Experimental and Numerical Study of Smoke Movement in Tunnel Fires (터널 화재 시 연기전파에 대한 실물실험 및 수치해석적 연구)

  • 본 논문은 터널에서 화재 발생 시, 시간에 따른 연기거동에 대해 실물실험과 3차원 수치해석을 수행하고 각각의 결과를 비교,검토하였다. 실물실험을 위하여 8.8 kW의 열원과 901iter/h의 연기 발생이 가능한 연기발생장치를 자체 제작하였으며, 대상터널은 길이 570m, 단면적 $64.6m^2,$ 그리고 약 $2\%$의 구배를 가지고 있다. 실험은 외풍의 영향을 줄이기 위해 터널 입,출구에 차단막을 설치하였으며 연기발생장치로부터 20m 간격의 위치에서 20초 간격으로 연기전파, 속도 그리고 온도를 측정하였다. 연기는 60초 경과 후, 연기발생장치로부터 20m 떨어진 위치에 도달하였으며 140초, 180초 및 260초 경과 후, 각각 40m, 60m 및 80m 위치에 도달하였다. 3차원 수치해석의 결과는 터널벽면을 매끈한 표면으로 처리하였을 때, $26.3\~49.5\%$정도 과대 예측하였다. 또한 터널벽면을 일정 조도를 갖는 거친 표면으로 처리한 경우는 $-2.7\~17.6\%$ 오차로 실험결과에 보다 근접하는 결과를 보였다. 따라서 터널 내 연기거동에 대한 3차원 수치해석을 수행할 때에는 벽면조도에 대한 고려가 필요하리라 판단된다.

Improvement of Cultural Practices for a New Aromatic Tobacco ST 375-4 I. Effect of the Mulching Method on Yield and Quality (향끽미종 잎담배 ST375-4의 신재배법 연구 제1보 피복방법이 수량 및 품종에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out in 1979 to establish the proper mulching culture method for an aromatic tobacco, ST 375-4. Three different methods of mulching were employed: Improved mulching (I. M.), General mulching (G. M.) and Non-mulching (N. M.). The number of seedlings per hole was 5 for I. M., and one for G. M. and N. M. In comparison with N. M., I. M. had shortened final date of leaf harvest by 14 days, enabling curing leaves before the rainy season. It also reduced transplanting labour hours by 44.9%. Yield and price value increased with improved mulching culture. There was little difference in relative light intensity at leaves between N. M. and I. M.
