The Efficacy of Shampoo Containing Ginseng Radix on Preventing Hair Loss and Promotion Hair Growth (홍삼사포닌 Rg3가 함유된 샴푸의 탈모방지와 양모개선 효과)

  • Recently, hair growth effect of red ginseng was proved by many in vitro experiments, but there are not enough clinical studies. In the present study, we evaluated the efficacy of Rg3 hair shampoo (Somang Co., Korea) containing Rg3 0.003% extracted from ginseng radix on preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth by clinical study. 42 volunteers were enrolled present study and devided into two groups; one group used the Rg3 hair shampoo and another group used shampoo not containg Rg3. Before and after 8 and 16 weeks use of Rg3 hair shampoo, we measured the density, thickness and growth rate of hair. At the same time, an assessment of improvement of hair loss and subjective satisfaction of patients were conducted by clinicians and patients. Results obtained from the group used Rg3 hair shampoo showed statistically significant improvement in the density, thickness and growth rate of hair. Results from the clinicians, patients and subjective satisfaction of patients also showed better responses for the group used Rg3 hair shampoo. In conclusion, Rg3 hair shampoo is an effective product on preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth.

Laboratory Performance Evaluation of Chemcrete Modified Asphalt Mixtures (켐크리트 개질 아스팔트 혼합물의 실내 공용성 평가)

  • The stiffness of chemcrete modified asphalt mixtures increase rapidly with time in the presence f oxygen and high temperature, Sometimes the asphalt pavements that have chemcrete modified asphalt mixture applied on the surface none show premature cracking because of the excessive increase in the stiffness f the asphalt mixtures. To mitigate this premature cracking, the chemcrete modified mixtures have been used as a base course material. In this study, the performance of the chemcrete modified asphalt binder and mixtures are investigated through a course of various laboratory tests including dynamic shear rheometer and bending beam rheometer tests for binders and uniaxial tensile fatigue, wheel tracking, and moisture damage tests for the mixtures. And also the resilient modulus of the conventional and chemcrete modified mixtures are compared based on the test results conducted on the specimens obtained from various in-situ test sections. It can be concluded from the tests results that the chemcrete modified mixtures show better rutting resistance than conventional mixtures. The chemcrete modified mixtures may have low temperature cracking when it is applied in the cold region. The stiffness of chemcrete modified mixtures is approximately 50 percent higher than that of conventional mixtures more than two years after the chemcrete modified mixture was applied in the base course.

  • The time for form removal is an important factor for ensuring the safety and economical efficiency of concrete structures, because it affects the quality, period, and cost of construction. Although local specifications suggest the form curing time, there is a problem of low quality of concrete due to early removing of form. This is because they do not fully understand effect of curing condition, and they want to shorten construction period in the field. Therefore, this research evaluates the effect of curing condition according to the time for form removal by testing specimen. As a result, the concrete compressive strength at the age of 28 days decreased about 40% in the condition of form removal after 12 hours, while the strength in the condition of form removal after 28 days decreased about 7%. Finally, this paper suggests an estimating equation for the concrete compressive strength due to the time for form removal considering various curing temperatures as equivalent ages. The proposed equation can be used in the field for evaluating the strength after form removal.

  • Domestic area of most be happened chloride deicer damage. Because daily mean temperature is below 0$^{\circ}C$ from the area of domestic most. Use of deicing chemicals has been and will continue to be a major part of highway snow and ice control methods. Chloride-containing chemicals such as calcium chloride or rock salt are main deicers for the road. Extensive use of chloride deicers is, however, not only the source of substantial cost penalties due to their corrosive action and ability to deterioration roadway surface materials but also the source of environmental damages. Particularly, it has been recognized that chlorides present in deicing agents can significantly increase concrete surface scaling. In severe cases, scaling can result in dislodgement of coarse aggregate. This research estimates that pH and test of specific pollutants, dynamic modulus of elasticity for freeze-thaw test of concrete were higher than those NaCl, $CaCl_2$, and NaCl+$CaCl_2$(7:3, w/w), also weight losses for scaling test of concrete were much lower than those of NaCl, $CaCl_2$, and NaCl+$CaCl_2$(7:3, w/w).

A comparison of neural networks and maximum likelihood classifier for the classification of land-cover (토지피복분류에 있어 신경망과 최대우도분류기의 비교)

  • On this study, Among the classification methods of land cover using satellite imagery, we compared the classification accuracy of Neural Network Classifier and that of Maximum Likelihood Classifier which has the characteristics of parametric and non-parametric classification method. In the assessment of classification accuracy, we analyzed the classification accuracy about testing area as well as training area that many analysts use generally when assess the classification accuracy. As a result, Neural Network Classifier is superior to Maximum Likelihood Classifier as much as 3% in the classification of training data. When ground reference data is used, we could get poor result from both of classification methods, but we could reach conclusion that the classification result of Neural Network Classifier is superior to the classification result of Maximum Likelihood Classifier as much as 10%.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷전화 품질평가를 위한 국내 동향에 대하여 기술하고, BcN영상전화 서비스에 대한 SLA 품질지표 및 품질기준을 국내외 동향 및 기준표준화에 근거하여 마련하고 이를 검증하기 위한 품질측정 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해서 영상전화 서비스의 SLA 품질기준이 조기에 마련되어 국내 통신사업자들의 이용약관에 반영되기를 기대한다. 따라서 본 논문의 목차는 서론, SLA 개요, 영상전화 서비스의 품질지표 및 기준, 품질지표별 측정방법 및 시험측정 결과에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • 해양활동의 급속한 확대로 해마다 발생하는 해양사고의 발생이 증가하고 있으며, 사상자 수도 비례적으로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 사고를 줄이기 위해서, 다양한 구조 요청 기기가 개발되고 제시되되어 왔으나 단일화 되지 못한 통신 방법, 구조 요청 과정에 대한 사용자의 인식 부족으로 실질적인 구조 요청 장치의 사용율이 지극히 낮다. 또한 해양의 특수성으로 인하여 제시되어온 기기를 이용하기 위해서는 큰 비용이 소요되었다. 이에 따라 실질적인 구조 가능성을 높이고 해양사고로 인한 사상자를 최소화하기 위해 본 연구의 목적은 실험평가와 경험적 공식을 바탕으로 일반 사용자가 손쉽게 접근 가능한 안드로이드 애플리케이션과 연결된 자동 구조 요청 장치를 개발한 것으로, 본 연구는 현장 및 실험실 시험의 결과에 근거하여, MOB 구출을 위한 자동 구조 요청 장치의 사양을 확정 검증하는 실용화 연구를 수행하였다.

  • 최근 국내에서 발생된 대규모 정전사태로 인해 안정적인 전력공급에 대한 국민들의 요구가 커져, 지난 3월 일본 후쿠시마 원전사고 이후 다시 한번 분산전원에 대한 필요성이 대두되어지고 있다. 여러 분산전원 중 연료전지는 다른 에너지원에 비해 에너지의 지속성이 우수하여 가장 안정적인 분산전원 형태의 하나이다. 이에 따라 국내의 경우 우수한 도시가스 인프라로 인해 건물용 연료전지라는 신기술에 대한 국민의 수용성은 점점 높아질 것으로 기대된다. 현재 건물용 연료전지의 경우, 주로 1kW급 연료전지가 시범보급되어 각 가정에 설치되어지고 있으나, 상가, 주유소 및 편의점 등의 상업시설과 생활관 및 소형빌라 등의 집단 주거시설 같은 1kW급 보다 용량을 더 필요로 하는 응용처에 국내에서 개발된 5kW급 연료전지시스템이 적용되어지기를 기대한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 제작된 5kW급 고분자전해질 연료전지시스템의 보급이전에 안전성능 평가를 통해 시스템의 성능 및 안전성 평가결과를 제조사에 피드백 하여 5kW급 건물용 연료전지시스템의 조기 상업화에 앞장서고자 한다. 5kW급 연료전지시스템의 기술개발은 핵심부품인 연료변환기, 스택 및 BOP 기술의 경우 1kW급 연료전지시스템에 적용된 것과는 다른 기술이 필요하고, 단순한 scale-up 과정이 아닌 새로운 기술개발로 제품에 적용시켜야 하는 난점을 가지고 있다. 특히, 연료변환기의 경우 연료 유량의 증가로 인하여 reformer, CO shift 및 Prox 반응기의 유체역학, 열교환 흐름 및 촉매반응 공학적으로 이론을 응용한 새로운 반응기 설계와 제작기술 확립이 선행되어 전체적인 시스템 제작 설계에 반영되어져야 한다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 연료전지시스템 안전성능 평가를 위해 용량증대에 따른 안전성평가 항목을 검토하고, 5kW급 연료전지시스템평가를 수행하여 시스템의 제품성능, 작동성능 및 계통연계성능에서의 안전성을 확인하였고, 정전 유풍과 같은 이상조건 및 실외 환경에 대한 시스템의 안전성도 확인하였다. 또한 부하운전 조건을 75% 및 50%로 변화시켰을 때 빠른 응답시간과 안정적인 부하변동운전을 확인하였다.

  • In this research, gel compounds containing thermochromic ingredients were manufactured and evaluated to prevent the transition hazards of fire and explosion, which they are one of the methods for detecting abnormal conditions caused by overheating of special materials early. And also, compounds of viscoelastic and brushing types were manufactured as the kind and content of raw materials, and manufacturing process to enlarge the application for overheat-detecting targets. Test methods were conducted as chromism test, viscosity profile, starting time of thermochromism, and FT-IR analysis. Thermochromic gel materials exhibit chromism properties that can detect abnormal conditions effectively, and then they are possible to various applications.

Quality Tests for the Knee-Orthosis Velcro and Locking System (무릎보조기 벨크로 및 잠금장치에 대한 품질시험 연구)

  • In this study, three knee-orthoses (dial lock type, medium size, right side) were used for a quality level test (static bending test and solidity test of the locking system) of the knee-orthosis locking system. In the static bending test, a smaller maximum load was observed in samples A and C compared to the reference standard value (KS P 8408 standard value: 1000 N, sample A: 865 N, sample C: 833 N). In addition, in the solidity test of the locking system, a smaller maximum load was observed in the all samples compared to the referenced standard value (KS P 8411 standard value: 200 N, sample A: 41 N, sample B: 97 N, sample C: 54 N). Korean industrial standards for knee-orthoses and systematic test methods are lacking. Therefore, a systematic management plan for knee-orthoses is required. The result of the current study showed that a systematic management plan for the knee-orthosis locking system is required. In particular, the development of a quantitative and objective test method is needed. The findings of the current study may be useful for monitoring the quality of the knee-orthosis locking system and may provide foundational information for the development of a quantitative and objective test method.
