추진제 원료 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 국산화

  • 혼합형 고체추진제에는 연소속도를 증가시키는 촉매로서 철,구리,크롬등 전이금속 $화합물^1$ 이 사용되고 있다. 현재 당공장에서 양산되는 개량형 추진기관의 추진제에 철화합물인 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 가 사용되는데 그동안 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 를 공급해온 미국 Columbian chemical co.에서 생산을 중단함에 따라 새로운 수급이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 이원료의 안정적인 공급을 위해 국산 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 로 대체 개발하기 위해 국산 원료의 시장조사, 샘플 입수, 그리고 원료분석을 실시하였지만 당공장에서 사용해온 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 의 원료규격중 순도, 산도(PH값), 입도등 중요항목을 만족할만한 국산 원료는 발견하지 못했다. 하지만 국내 제조업체중 제조능력 및 시설을 고려하여 일신종합화학(인천 소재)을 선정한 다음 제조 공정의 개선을 통하여 당공장 사용 원료을 만족하는 원료를 생산할 수 있었고, 개향형 추진 기관의 추진제에 적용하여 추진제 공정성, 물성, 그리고 가장 중요한 연소특성을 만족하는 국산 $Fe_2$ $O_3$ 를 개발에 성공하여 양산에 적용하고 있다.

A Study on the Characteristics of Mortar Using Foaming Agents (기포제(起泡劑)를 사용(使用)한 모르터의 제특성(諸特性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was performed to obtain the basic data which can be applied to use of foaming mortars. The results obtained were summarized as follows ; 1. The lowest water-cement ratios were shown at the mixing ratio of 1 : 1. But, it was gradually increased in poorer mixing ratio and decreased in more addition of foaming agent. The water-cement ratios were decreased up to 1.6-53.1% by mix-foaming type and 4.4-24.1% by pre-foamed type than cement mortar. 2. The highest bulk densities were shown at the mixing ratio of 1 : 1. But, it was gradually decreased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The decreasing rates of bulk densities were increased in richer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. 3. The bulk densities were decreased up to 38.8-55.9% by mix-foaming type and 9.7-23.6% by pre-foamed type than cement mortar. 4. The lowest absorption rates were shown at the mixing ratio of 1 : 1. But, it was gradually increased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The increasing rates of absorption rates were increased in richer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. 5. Absorption rates when immersed in 72hours were shown up to 3.41-5.85 times greater by mix-foaming type and 1.05-1.55 times greater by pre-foamed type than those of cement mortar. it was significantly higher at the early stage of immersed time than cement mortar. 6. The highest strengths were shown at the mixing ratio of 1 : 1. But, it was gradually decreased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The decreasing rates of strengths were increased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. 7. The strengths were decreased up to 77.0-92.8% by mix-foaming type and 36.7-74.4% by pre-foamed type than cement mortar. 8. The lowest air contents were shown at the mixing ratio of 1 : 1. But, it was gradually increased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The increasing rates of air contents were increased in richer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. 9. Air contents were shown up to 26.0-63.8 times greater by mix-foaming type and 5.8-17.7 times greater by pre-foamed type than those of cement mortar. 10. The correlations between bulk density, absorption rate, compressive strength and air content were highly significant. The multiple regression equations of bulk density, absorption rate, compressive strength, tensile strength, bending strength and air content were computed depending on a function of mixing ratio and addition of foaming agent. They were generally highly significant.

A Study on Acceleration Aging Characteristics of B-KNO3 Igniter (B-KNO3 점화제의 가속 노화 특성 연구)

  • This research investigated the aging properties of the $B-KNO_3$ system as the igniter. The $B-KNO_3$ system showed the degradation in ignition properties depending on the method and period of storage. It should be found out the cause of the degradation to predict the reliability of the igniters. The changes of the properties by the degradation after aging tests were analyzed by microstructure analysis, XRD analysis and thermal analysis using DSC. It was found out that the lattice parameters of the $KNO_3$ as the oxidizer in the ignition system was changed into the JCPDS values as the aging time increased. Conclusively, the changes of the crystal structure of oxidizer affected the activation energy increasing as aging time increased.

  • 2-(1,3,3-Trimethyl-6-azabicyclo [3,2,1]-oct-6-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazoline (TAO) was polymerized at several conditions to clarify the influence of initiators, alkyl halide ($PhCH_2Br$, $PhCH_2Cl$, MeI) and sulfonate (MeOTf). The reactions were conducted at $100^{\circ}C$ for 24 h. The resultant polymer forms several kinds of structures with different combination of initiators. The sole MeOTf initiator caused chain transfer reaction to form the one-order structure for which the resultant polymer exclusively formed pendant structure, while alkyl halide and MeOTf formed two kinds of structures, pendant and main chain, which is caused by partly-proceeded double isomerization polymerization by highly reactive nucleophilic counter anion of halogen. Merrifield polymer was also utilized as an intiator and copolymerized with TAO, which produced a graft structure.

  • To study the effect of foaming agent on the production and property of light weight concrete, the tests of compressive, tensile, bending strengths and absorption rates of mortar were done under the different mixing ratio with J, A and D foaming agents. The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The strengths were decreased in richer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The decrease of strengths was the greatest at the level of 0.75% of foaming agent. The decreasing rate of strengths was in order of J, A and D foaming agent. 2. At the mixing ratio of 1:1, ${\sigma}_{28}$ and 0.75% of foaming agent, the compressive strength was decreased up to 34.9% by D, 47.8% by A and 86.8% by J foaming agent, respectively, the tensile strength was decreased up to 14.8% by D, 20.2% by A and 77.9% by J foaming agent, respectively, bending strength was decreased up to 19.9% by D, 35.0% by A and 79.1% by J foaming agent, respectively. The decrease of compressive strength was more severe than that of tensile and bending strengths. 3. The absorption rates were increased in poorer mixing ratio and more addition of foaming agent. The absorption rate was significantly higher at the early stage of immersed water. The absorption rate was in order of J, A and D foaming agent. 4. The decrease of strengths was inevitable in cement-mortar with foaming agent, but the cement mortar with foaming agent has such the properties of the light-weight, lnsulation, Keeping-warmth, sound proof and fire-proof that if could be utilized to the constructions which need low strengths.

Development of Mixed Pesticides Containing Herbicide and Topdressing Fertilizer for Paddy Rice (벼 제초제(除草劑)와 분약비(分蘖肥) 혼합약제(混合藥劑)의 개발(開發))

  • To develop mixed pesticides of herbicide and topdressing fertilizer for paddy rice, twelve mixtures were formulated with combination of urea coated with different level of acrylic acid wax(AAW) and four herbicides, which were thiobencarb, pretilachlor, mefenacet + bensulfuron-methyl and mefenacet + bensulfuron-methyl + dymron, and effects of the mixtures for weed control, phytotoxicity and rice tillering were investigated in the laboratory and the field experiments. Release rates of active ingredient of herbicides in the distilled water were over 90% during 24 hours same as that of the reference herbicides. The release rates of nitrogen showed different patterns according to coated level of granular urea with acrylic acid wax. Optimum release rate of nitrogen as $NH_4-N$ was obtained by 5.5% AAW coating on urea for thiobencarb or pretilachlor mixture, and by 4.0% AAW coating on urea for mefenacet + bensulfuron-methyl or mefenacet + bensulfuron-methyl + dymron mixture. The pesticide active ingredients of the mixtures were stable, which showed $3.7{\sim}8.0%$ of degradation rate after 90 days of storage under $50^{\circ}C$. Effects on weed control of mixtures were acceptable for both annual and perennial weeds, while ACRI-M9213 mixture showed considerable phytotoxicity at double dose of standard. When treated the mixed pesticides to paddy rice, rice growth status including culm length, ear length, panicle number and polished rice yield exhibited no significant differences compared with the conventional treatment.

  • As Sclerotinia sclerotiorum causing cucumber sclerotinia rot was the fastest in the mycelial growth at $25^{\circ}C$, its pathogenicity was strong at the same temperature among several temperatures. All the isolates of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum showed a strong pathogenicity against cucumber fruits, which was confirmed by a disk assay and a wound assay. A wound assay was superior to a disk assay to develop the assay system for assessing the fungicidal activity of several fungicides against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. In a disk assay, it was very difficult to assess the fungicidal activity, because the pathogenicity of isolates used in the experiment was very strong. At 500 and $3.0{\mu}g/mL$, the activity of dichloflouanid and the mixture of carbendazim and diethofencarb against cucumber sclerotinia rot was 14.3 and 42.3%, respectively, by using a disk assay. However, at same concentration two fungicides showed the high controlling activity as 100 and 92.5%, through a wound assay in a laboratory. Also, the activity of two fungicides was good against cucumber sclerotinia rot in the greenhouse where cucumber plants were cultivated in the field, showing the control value as 91.1 and 82.9% at 100 and $825{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. All the isolates of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum from cucumber fruits sampled in the polyvinyl house were subjected to monitoring for the resistance to 7 fungicides. The $EC_{50}$ value of 7 fungicides was as follows: fenhexamid; $0.13{\mu}g/mL$, procymidon and iprodione; 0.18 and $0.24{\mu}g/mL$, carbendazim and the mixture of carbendazim and diethofencarb; 0.13과 $0.05{\mu}g/mL$, iminoctadine and dichlofluanid; 1.94 and $8.95{\mu}g/mL$. Ultimately it was not found that resistant isolates of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum were appeared in the field.

Involvement of Oxidative Stress in Formaldehyde-induced Apoptosis in Cultured Lung Macrophage Cells (폐 대식세포주에서 포름알데히드에 의한 세포 사멸 효과에 대한 산화성 스트레스 관련성)

  • Formaldehyde (FA) is an important irritant compound in pesticide to induce asthma and allergy in respiratory system. Alveolar macrophage is also an pivotal cell in the immune response of respiratory system. However, the effect of FA in macrophage cell viability has not been elucidated. Thus, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of FA on apoptosis in Raw 264.7 cells, alveolar macrophage cell line. In this study, FA decreased cell viability of lung alveolar macrophage cells in a dose-dependent manner (>$100{\mu}M$). FA-induced decrease of cell viability was blocked by the treatment of antioxidants (vitamin C, NAC, and catalase). Indeed, FA induced lipid peroxide formation in Raw 264.7 cells. FA decreased Bcl-2 expression but increased Bax expression in lung alveloar macrophage cells. In addition, FA also increased the cleaved form of caspase-3. In conclusion, FA induced apoptosis via oxidative stress in cultured Raw 264.7 cells.

항만 유형과 정보시스템 역할에 관한 연구

  • 항만정보시스템의 기능과 항만유형과는 관련성이 있는 것일까? 본 연구에서는 선진항만들의 유형과 정보시스템 기능 분석을 통하여 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 항만들은 자산의소유와 운영의 주체에 따라 국유제, 공영자치제, 지방자치제(지방정부자치제) 및 사유제의 4가지로 유형으로 구분된다. 유형에 따른 항만들의 주요 활동도 달라진다. 국유제와 지방자치제의 경우는 행정처리 기능에 중점을 두고 있는 반면, 공영자치제와 사유제는 고객서비스강화에 중점을 두고 있다. 항만의 유형과 정보시스템과의 상관관계를 조사한 결과 국유제, 지방자치제 항만에는 업무처리 중심의 시스템이 발달하여 있으며, 사유제 및 공영자치제 항만에는 고객서비스를 최우선으로하는 커뮤니티 시스템과 e-Business 시스템이 발달되어 있었다. 항만유형별 정보시스템의 차이는 부산항만정보시스템의 개선에 시사점을 던져주고 있다. 그동안 국유제 항만으로서 운영되던 부산항이 공영자치제 유형의 운영방식으로 변경됨에 따라 항만정보시스템도 추세에 따라 개선되어야 한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 방법으로 3단계 방법을 제안하였다. 제 1단계가 미러링(Mirroring) 단계로서 항만운영을 안정화시키는 단계이며, 제 2단계에서는 커뮤니티 시스템을 구축하여 고객의 서비스를 제고시키는 협업화단계로 설정하였으며, 제 3단계는 부가가치창출을 위한 수익형 시스템을 개발하는e-Business 개발단계로 설정하였다.

Multiple Binding Affinities for Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptors in Rat Brain (흰쥐 뇌내(腦內)의 무수카린성 콜린 수용체의 이질성(異質性))

  • We investigated the binding properties of $(^3H)$ QNB and $(^3H)$ NMS to mAchR to elucidate the characterstics of mAchR in rat brain by using two different preparations (homogemates & intact brain cell aggregates). The binding properties of both ligands demonstrated high affinity and saturability in both experiments, however $(^3H)$ QNB showed a significantly higher maximal binding capacity than tha ot $(^3H)$ NMS 1. In rat brain homogenates; Displacement of both lignands with several mAchR antagonists resulted in competition curves in accoradnce with the law of massaction for QNB, atropine & scopolamine in thie preparation, also a similar profile was found for the quaternary ammonium analogs of atropine & scopolamine (methyl atropine & methylscopolamine) when $(^3H)$ NMS was used to label the receptors in rat brain. But when these hydrophillic antagonists were used to displace $(^3H)$ QNB, they showed interaction with high- and low-affinity binding sites in brain homogenates. Pirenzepine, the nonclassical mAchR antagonist, was able to displace both ligands from binding sites in this preparation. 2. In intact rat brain cell aggregates; Intact bain cell aggregates were used to elucidate the binding characteristics of $(^3H)$ NMS to mAchR in rat. The magnitude of binding of this ligand was related linearly to the amount of cell protein in the binding assay with a high ratio of total to nonspecific binding. mAchR antagonists displaced specific $(^3H)$ NMS binding according to the law of mass-action, while it was possible to resolve displacement curves using mAchR agonist into high-& low-affinity component. 3. Our results indicate that more hydrophilic receptor ligand $(^3H)$ QNB, displacement experiments in both tissues demonstrated that the lipid solubility of a particulr mAchR ligand might play an important role in determining its profile of binding to the mAchR, and the concentrations of mAchR in rat brain are both on the cell surface (membrane-bound receptor) and in the intracelluar membrane (intermembrane-bound receptor). 4. The results are discussed in terms of the usefulness of dissociated intact rat brain cells in studying mAchR in central nervous system.
